We added timber framing to our existing home and selected Timberpeg as they were easy to work with on the design and final measurements of the timbers. They referred us to a few general contractors that could install the timbers. Everything worked out perfectly and the timbers give the house a warmth that can only come from the timber framing. We are very happy with the results and guests are always amazed that the timbers are ornamental and retro fitted to the house.
We just celebrated our 20th year in our Timberpeg home. We live in NW Montana where there were few homes built in this style, but saw a Timberpeg built home in a rural area an hour away. We were sold. We dealt with a wonderful rep and fantastic builder ( who had built every type of home except timber frame) and the build was smooth. Was it more expensive than stick? Yes, but the solid, strong result surpasses conventional methods. We recently had a home energy audit done, and the company couldn’t believe how air tight and efficient the house was even with the large bank of windows facing Flathead lake. We had a bit of a glitch securing our mortgage due to the lack of timber frame buildings in our area at the time. Our home has more than tripled in value. Best decision we ever made!
