Customer feedback reflects a mixed sentiment towards the company. While some customers have praised the exceptional customer service and communication, others have faced significant issues, particularly with delivery and product defects. A notable complaint highlighted the failure of a scheduled delivery, which compounded previously experienced manufacturing defects. This inconsistency in service and product quality raises concerns about the overall reliability of the company.

- The doors arrived with a manufacturing defect inside where internal parts would be installed.
- The driver never showed for the scheduled delivery.

September 2023 my business bought set of commercial wooden doors from fortress door (owned by the Lester group) for us to install for our customer. the doors arrived with a manufacturing defect inside where internal parts would be installed. we couldn't see the defects until they were already installed and then wouldn't function properly. so they remanufactured the doors and said they would be delivered the next week. we scheduled for an employee to accept the delivery as we didn't want the delicate unsealed interior wooden doors to be left out in the weather. the driver never showed. when we called they said the driver never showed up that day. but no one let us know. so they offered to have the doors delivered the next day to which we declined because had jobs scheduled and didn't have anyone available to accept the delivery. they showed up anyways and had to be turned away. finally the doors got delivered and we were able to accept them. they were also manufactured incorrectly but this time it was a different issue. we had no choice but to install them and rig them and hope for the best. we had already spent so many extra man hours on the original install and wasting time waiting of rate delivery truck and then removing and reinstalling the second set that we already did the job for free and couldn't afford another removal and reinstall. I called the office to speak to someone about our dissatisfaction, I never calls back. when I finally spoke to Nadine she told me she left me voice mails which I never got. she said knew she had the right number because it was my voice on the voicemail which is a lie because I have an automated voicemail, not my voice. finally after going back and forth trying to speak to someone she offered to give us a $600 credit on our account. but that wouldn't work for us because we will never use them again. she refused to refund us. so I called the parent company "the Lester group" in Martinsville va and spoke to jay dickens and he offered to settle for a $3000 check. we accepted his offer. after weeks of no update or no check in the mail I emailed jay dickens to ask him when we could expect the check and he reneged on his offer and said he would give us $600 which wouldn't even make a dint in the amount that we have spent on time wasted and the messed up doors twice. I wouldn't use this company if my life depended on it. I also wouldn't ever use Lester building supple or anything Lester group ever for anything. I wouldn't offer my worst enemy to use them for anything.

Great store Manager (Gene Clark) and a excellent support staff. They everything you need in a Hardware store and Building Supply

Our experience with the Lester Group was 100% satisfaction. Incredible customer service, exceptional communication and response times, fair, trustworthy, and truly FAR exceeded our expectations to accommodate our business's needs. Furthermore, we heard nothing but high praise from others in the community about this company, which instilled confidence as we moved forward. Highly recommend doing business with The Lester Group.

The average roof replacement cost for a residential home typically ranges from $7,000 to $15,000, depending on factors such as roof size, chosen materials, roof pitch, and labor rates in your area. Premium materials or complex designs may increase the price.
The cost to replace the roof of a commercial building typically ranges from $5 to $12 per square foot, depending on several factors such as roof size, material, labor rates, building type, and local code requirements.
Several factors influence roof repair cost, including the extent of the damage, roof accessibility, material type, labor costs, and whether it’s a general repair or an emergency fix. Minor repairs can start around $150–$400, while major repairs may exceed $1,500.
Roof leak repair cost generally ranges from $300 to $800, depending on the size and location of the leak, the materials required, and labor intensity. Complex leaks involving structural repairs or interior damage will cost more.
Flat roof repair cost for commercial properties usually ranges from $500 to $3,000, depending on the roofing material (TPO, EPDM, PVC), the extent of the damage, and roof accessibility.
Mobile home roof replacement cost typically ranges from $3,000 to $8,000, making it generally more affordable than traditional home roof replacements, due to smaller size and simpler structure.
It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.
The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.
To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.
Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.
When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.
Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
