The Foundry Cinema & Bowl

It is very sad that this place has such poor customer service. It would be such a benefit to have somewhere to go do these activities in WP, but the staff really ruin the entire experience. As many have said, it is like they don't like anyone from out of town. The Operations Manager, Brian, was argumentative and rude. It isn't hard to provide a positive experience even when things don't go right. The lane kept breaking and ate into the time we spent quite a lot of money on. He wouldn't budge even thought he lane was open for another 10 minutes before the next reservation came through. Asking for 10 minutes was like we were asking him for his first born child. We have a house in WP and frequent the area often. It is too bad this is now a place I don't want to give my money to. I would like to see the town of WP do something about this place - the treatment towards tourists here is ridiculous when its what feeds the town with money and keeps all the restaurants and businesses running. Without tourists, his job wouldn't exist. Just be kind and accomodating. Its easy to do. If you hate tourists in your town, then you should move to the boonies where they don't come.

Did not have a good experience. The bowling equipment wasn’t working very well and the staff were extremely rude. We were constantly needing balls retrieved and pins reset, which cut into the amount of time we had to spend bowling (you pay by time). One of the men working at the counter acted like he was totally inconvenienced that we were there. A kid in our group needed different sized shoes and he slammed them down on the counter. The manager was extremely unprofessional and made a very snarky comment in front of one of the kids in our group. They both could use some training in customer service and general courtesy. The experience was so poor that we left instead of staying and continuing to spend money there. Would not recommend or would go in with very low expectations.

First of all, I'm so happy to have a movie theater and bowling alley in town! My family enjoys it frequently when we need a break from mountain biking or skiing.

Today's experience made me question coming back. Our time bowling was a disappointment. The bowling balls were constantly getting stuck behind the pins and wouldn't return. The customer service from the long haired young man wearing a hockey jersey was the worst! He said, " You have to keep bowling!" even though we had no balls left (9 balls were stuck not being returned and unfortunately my kids can't safely throw balls over 7 pounds!) Eventually, another guy lifted the boards up and pulled up pins from the floor that were jamming the return of the balls! It was an expensive time to wait on their defective equipment and even worse customer service! We likely won't b
e back, especially for the bowling. Also, the balls all have huge finger holes which works well if you are a big man, not so much for women and children.

We only came for the arcade and it was small about 10 games but the cost to play isn’t too bad and our kids were able to kill almost an hour on $30.

Some of the people who run this are awesome, but then you have the punk kids who have no customer service what so ever and nobody really cares. Slamming things on the counter and making people feel like a total inconvenience are really a bummer. Do better!

We’ve been multiple time every year since you opened and probably won’t return after this interaction and nobody could have cared less.

I am visiting from out of town and we wanted something to do while we were not on the slopes. My brother found the foundry cinema and bowl. He made a reservation ahead of time. The places actually pretty busy. Parking was somewhat difficult to find. Overall it was a great experience and a lot of fun.

Great place to stop and charge your EV: bowl a few rounds, have a drink, play some arcade games. We appreciate the chargers!

Extremely rude staff!!!
Opens at 4:00pm and tried calling the entire afternoon to reserve a lane for bowling, no answer.
Upon arrival at 4:00 they already had a long line and approached a staff member that stated he was the only one working and we had to reserve beforehand, which we tried. He literally walked off while I was speaking with him.
Never again!!!

I would have given this place 5 stars, but when the booking directions tell you to arrive 15 minutes earlier than your scheduled time, but the place doesn't open their doors until the scheduled time. ??

Otherwise, it was good times.

This is a very small theater. The last 2 shows we have gone to see they oversold tickets for so there wasn't seating. After standing outside in the snow for over an hour with no communication, many families were turned away. They only open the doors 15 minutes before show time and it's absolutely ridiculous. We got in one of the 2 movies after it started due to it taking more than 40 minutes to get through the line that gathered at the door waiting for it to open. The 2nd time the movie started late due to the system crashing but the theater was already full and they kept selling tickets.

It was a very nice place. I was a bit surprised. But it was a very comfortable movie theater and looked like there’s a lot more to do there besides watch a movie. We got to see a movie that just came out today so that was fun.

Very eclectic place with multiple lanes, decent arcade, and 2 cinemas. Service was great and happy hour deal is worth it!!

Watched Twisters here in summer 2024. Very comfortable with good screens and sound (sound is OFF all the time at my hometown theater). Yummy popcorn.

Great place to take the family. The service was really good, as well as the food. When we were there, there was a problem with the arcade systems, which was a bummer for the kids. But we still had a great time.

The Foundry is my favorite local spot for indoor activities! I have been bowling several times and enjoyed it. I've also seen countless movies in their theaters and love the giant reclining luxury chairs down in front! They have a great selection of food, including pizza and appetizers that you can eat while you watch a movie. They also have a full bar. If one is so inclined, you can have a drink while you watch a new film. Super fun times!

Great place to go watch a movie and relax after a day on the slopes. Additionally has a bar, some bar games, and 6-lane bowling alley. Only downside is that they don't open until 4p, and so you can't call and ask any questions in advance, e.g., do you sell tickets online. The answer is "no", you can't purchase tickets in advance.

This is a super cute activity center with multiple things to suit anyone traveling. They offer a couple movies, bowling, pool, arcade games and a bar with a select menu. The old school soda machines, gas pumps, etc. are a fun decor as well. I also saw that they have a complimentary water station setup. We spent an hour or so here and had a lot of fun playing in the arcade.

Looks like a great place. Make sure you put reservations in months in advance or you won’t be able to experience it. I tried to book it online and it would not allow me. They don’t open up until 4 PM so it is extremely hard to make an appointment.

The food was great and bowling was fun. You must call hours in advance to book a lane because it gets busy.

Want to see a movie? Hit the bowling lanes? Play in the arcade? The Foundry Cinema & Bowl is a cute, fun local spot to take your kids or hang with your friends in Winter Park. It’s not a full movie theater or bowling alley (movies only show between 4-9pm, there’s only 2 movie options available, and there are only 6-8 bowling lanes). The arcade has various games, pac man up to 4 players, pool, a photo booth, and claw machines. Cool vibes, we had fun, but half the bowling lanes were in repair, and it’s a small space.

Small intimate theaters. Eat before you go. Do not expect to get a meal here for your movie. I check website each time and have never seen "kitchen closed". Normally it's just a paper on their door which is too late. Female bathrooms are cool. If they have a movie you want to watch, watch it because they change out their features quicker than larger theaters.

We came to bowl, and didn't know we needed reservations, they managed to squeeze us in somehow. The pizza was delicious!

The service was appalling. The bartender on 12/19/23 at open was nothing short of a sassy teenager who had no idea how to make any form of cocktail past a straight poor, wine or beer. After being snotty about this to my buddy, She then rolled her eyes and snarled “of course” after my wife ordered just a coke and decided not to tip her. You need to step up your staff and customer service.

Best part of watching movies here is the reclining seats and a pitcher of beer you can bring in to the movie with you.

Great entertainment venue. We watched a movie here and enjoyed it very much. The space is decorated nicely and is inviting for large groups to have a great time

Very friendly people! Super cool building! Would come back here anytime I am back in the area. Bowling was great and the house balls look like pool balls.

Made a reservation 48 hours in advance for a group of 7 for son’s birthday. Person who took reservation sounded high. We showed up and no reservation., we asked what could be done and they said nothing. They said too bad. Employee actually said it wasn’t me who took the reservation so it’s not my responsibility. Wow.

Lovely one-stop-shop in the Winter Park area. The movie selection is a bit limited, but they're always major hits. The bowling lanes are well maintained, there's a little arcade and pool tables off to the side, and the whole place pulls off a friendly, retro-yet-modern feel. Extremely friendly staff. We make sure to visit every time we're in Winter Park.

Foundry always a great time! Bowling is fun and has a great vibe. Employees are super nice and always helpful. We always make our way to The Fou dry when we are in WP.

This is a very fun place for entertainment in the Fraser valley. Modern bowling alley and comfortable movie theater with great food!
Great place to bring your family or to hang out with friends. I had a great chicken sandwich!
