Had this company out to my 1912 Craftsman in Tacoma a few weeks ago. Kyle specifically, and his crew arrived on time and were cleanly and polite. They did a great job quickly and efficiently. Most striking was Kyle's honesty about what services I did and did not need for my two chimneys. Honesty wins me over as a repeat customer and I will be sticking with The Chimney Specialists in the future for that reason.

I used to work for them back in 05’-06’. They do an excellent job. You can be sure you’re going to get quality service. They really care about their customers.

Toby and Isaac arrived earlier than expected (they called ahead to make sure that was OK). They were friendly, knowledgeable and professional. I had someone from another company come out last week and quote me over 3 times the amount advertised after they did their “inspection” so I called The Chimney Specialists to get a second opinion. Toby explained everything very well and pointed out some issues that need to be addressed in the future. He got my fireplace and chimney cleaned and safe to use for the quoted price. Beware of companies that do the bait and switch! Call The Chimney Specialists instead! They were GREAT!!

Great job! Removed old wood insert, inspected and cleaned fireplace and chimney, installed cap with damper. Punctual, polite, careful, clean, thorough, knowledgeable, strong, and much more! No nicks on doors or walls, no smudges on the floor, no errors! Accurate quote, didn't suggest more be done than what was necessary. We're recommending The Chimney Specialists to everyone we know.

Our old/original 1962 chimney leaked. There were loose bricks, missing mortar, the crown was cracked. And now it leaks no more! The guys showed up and in 3 days we had a beautiful new chimney. It took 3 days because the first day they had to stop because of thunder and lighting. The guys did a fantastic job! Their cleanup was immaculate. You couldn’t even tell they were there! Now when it’s pouring down rain outside it’s not leaking inside! Very pleased with the service we received and highly recommend The Chimney Specialists.

I had my chimney video-inspected and cleaned. The technicians were courteous, efficient, knowledgeable, and they even threw in a free ash-pit cover, since mine had disintegrated. They put down a canvas tarp to catch any stray debris during the clean, and left my house just as it was when they arrived. They went over the report with me and gave me a realistic estimation for when I should have it cleaned again. I would recommend them to anyone looking to have their chimney inspected or cleaned.

We’ve used them a few times and every time they’ve been out very quickly, like within a few days of calling. The staff on the phone are professional and helpful. The staff that come out for the services are very friendly, respectful, on time, and communicate what is going on and suggest what should be looked at or addressed. Jud was professional and on time... gave us a competitive estimate for new clay flue collars, new crown and intallation of chimney caps as well as brick cleaning and breathable water repellant for our original 1949 chimney. Hey guys, thank you so much for cleaning and inspecting my stove and chimney. For those of you looking for a good chimney company go with them. My family has used them since September 1997 for all our chimney needs. They arrive on time, are courteous and ask questions to help you with the issues you are having. They do liners/inserts, chimney caps, fix chimney crowns and sell/install Regency Stoves.

I'm merely sharing what was told to me on the phone just now for people shopping around to compare pricing. I asked about the cost of a chimney sweep and the person said a chimney sweep + inspection would be around $349 dollars plus tax.

I called to book an appointment to have my chimney cleaned/inspected and they were able to fit me in the same week. The team showed up and we’re super professional, pleasant, and proficient. Work was done in about 20 minutes and I’m good to go for a year! Compared to other companies, they were very competitively priced. I also appreciate they didn’t try to upsell me on anything extra and provided a little education about more clean/efficient burning along the way. If you are looking for chimney maintenance, these are your people!!

We are nothing but impressed with Chimney Specialists! The techs Brian and Brent were so professional, informative and kind. They have done a great job maintaining a clean work space. The final product is stunning!

Felt more confident using our wood insert after having it inspected by these guys! Great general knowledge and good advice on what to do. Would definitely continue to use in the future. I like that they wear literal white gloves and put down rugs to prevent any dirt from the process.

I scheduled an inspection and cleaning for two fireplaces including the flues and chimney. Communication with the booking team was quick and easy, and the wait time was low.

The technicians were on time and extremely knowledgeable which was very reassuring. The work was completed quickly and tidily with no up-sell or bogus offers. I was extremely happy with the whole experience.

I had a poor experience with a different company who grossly inflated their charges based on a phony evaluation. The Chimney Specialists were light years ahead, trustworthy and efficient.

Kyle and Wes did a great job cleaning and repairing our chimney. It looks like new! Professional and competent. Highly recommend.

They put a cap on. They didn't do an inspection like they said they would and email me pictures. They charged me $566.00 dollars for this. The Sumner business took it out. I posted on the Tacoma shop also. I've called numerous times trying to get a receipt. They keep saying they will send me one but I haven't been emailed me one yet when they say they will. They put the cap on May 20th. I posted this review yesterday and still haven't heard from the owners.

My wife and I honestly cannot thank Jud Irish and his install crew enough.

We had a leak around our chimney that we called a highly rated company out for, they botched the job and the leak got a lot worse resultant.

Jud came out, listened to my story, climbed onto the roof and identified a 3 part problem live and in person as he ran down what needed to be done. He also took tons of photos (which i sent to the company that botched the job, and thanks to those photos, we eventually got our money back from them after some thorough explanation to accompany them on my part to the owner, and per Jud’s observations).

The bid via The Chimney Specialists was also more than fair, and Jud had guys on our roof 1 day AFTER the first heavy rainfall so we suffered minimal additional damage via the leak.

Zack headed up the install. He worked with us patiently to match our existing 1963 home’s original brick as closely as we could, he rebuilt the upper portion of the chimney, installed a new flute as well as outlet hardware, added a drip edge, cleaned and inspected our existing fireplace insert and even repaired a small hole in the heat shield outlet so we were 100% safe to burn.

Lastly, he professionally replaced the entire bogus counterflashing job.

In the end, we stopped the leak, had a beautifully rebuilt chimney and are now safe to use our fireplace as we do on occasion.

Jud , Zack and team were also extremely communicative throughout the entire process, on time and incredibly knowledgable and professional.

Hands Down, one of the best contractors we’ve ever worked with.

They service the complex I live at. Annual check of my fireplace showed I needed a new screen. Both times they came they were prompt and efficient.

Kyle and Jason came out to do a water leak test and inspection on my chimney. They were able to easily identify the problem area. After inspecting the chimney they told me the areas that would eventually need work. I appreciate them not trying to oversell work that doesn’t need to be done right now. The concrete crown on top of our chimney needed to be replaced and Brian H and Brent did an amazing job! They are very hard working, friendly and did a great job of cleaning up afterwards. Highly recommend them!

They're a scam. Can't speak on their service because we paid for chimney inspection that they never performed. If you're hiring them to do an entire community, know that it's in their interest to "miss" you and take your money for work they'll never perform. I called to reschedule and they were going to call back but that never happened. Zero integrity.

They came out the first time in April to clean our dryer vents at 3 of our condo buildings. They did a terrible job, so we called them back to fix their work. These pictures were all taken today after the second time they “cleaned” them. I called their office and spoke to Jackie, she was rude and wouldn’t tell me what they charged us. She said “if I would provide pictures” they would send somebody out again, I told her to come out and take pictures herself, it isn’t my job to check up on her workers! I’d already spent an hour taking pictures the first time. They didn’t even attach the covers properly on some.

Very professional and friendly. Called to say they could come earlier than my appointment time. And we’re here exactly the time they said. Only took about 30 min for all cleaning and inspection. Even told me best way to start the fires and best way to make my stove run the best. I would highly recommend this company.

I have to say these guys that came for a simple cleaning, ran into some issues and stuck with it for 5 ours. Absoultly would recommend them.

I had such an amazing experience with this company. I am new to having wood burning stoves and fireplaces in my home. They conducted the inspections and cleaning efficiently. Afterwards, they answered all of my questions about my stove and fireplace and even walked me through proper use and maintenance.

I live at an apartment complex that had The Chimney Specialists clean dryer vents and inspect/clean if necessary the chimney/fireplace. They were on time and respectful and wore masks. They inspected the fireplace then they clearly explained the chimney looked good and we could burn fires in there and that they had already cleaned the dryer vent from outside and thentthen left! Many apartment complexes or company's that work with apartment complexes only care about communication with the management but The Chimney Specialists made sure to communicate with us, the lowly Tenet, and brief us on what they were doing and why.

We were in need of a new wood stove chimney pipe due to a botch-job on the original installation. We weren't aware of this hazardous condition until we had called Chimney Specialist for a sweep and the field crew pointed it out. We were provided a quote (the day after the Superbowl!!)(impressive) and the work was scheduled just a week later.
Fast forward to the install. The crew of Lenny and Hunter were amazing. Not only were they professional, informative and skilled, they were truly nice guys. It couldn't have been an easy install given our lofted ceiling and when they encountered a situation (wonky ceiling joist locations) and I'm dreading the "unforeseen field condition" change order, they merely pointed it out and made it go away. Awesome.
The finished product was perfect. These guys know their stuff and as an extra bonus, I'm pretty sure the work area was cleaner after they left than when the arrived.
If it were an option, I'd give them 6 stars!

I called just for inspection and clean they said between 1-3pm sat. I'm glad they called 30 minutes ahead to let me know they'll arrive in 20 minutes, I forgot they were coming over! They were very courteous let me know what they were doing, they had everything done in about 30 minutes vacuumed and cleaned up better than when they arrived!! Then they built me a fire so we could check it out. They did an outstanding job, I'm very happy and will recomend them to all. Never had a fire w/o smoke and smell in house, it is so nice it operates perfect.

$200 for 5 minutes of work, give me break! They literally ran a brush up my stove pipe and vacuumed out my firebox. They were nice enough to throw in a replacement fire brick for "free."

Had these guys come out to inspect and clean my stove pipe because it had back drafted twice and as the old saying goes, "If you play with fire you're going to get burned." Those 2 backdrafts eventually were attributed to wind, but I would rather be safe than sorry and thought it best to have a professional opinion. I've always swept my own stove pipe and always burn well seasoned wood.

They did sweep the pipe, but there was no "inspection." I thought they would at least disassemble the pipe enough to get a visual of the inside condition but there was none of that. Also was expecting them to at least check the section of the pipe that comes through the attic but that didn't happen either. I gave them a break about getting up on the roof do to it being frosty, but there ought to be some sort of work around.

The sweepers were nice (could smell what I thought was alcohol on one of them), but their "service" was a complete waste of money.

I hate to be so curt, but it is what it is.

This company has always been professional and done a very good job for us. I would recommend them without reservation.

Very nice on the phone. Was told 149 plus tax for a cleaning. Then was told since I'm 10 minutes out from downtown orting its 299? I'm literally 10.1 miles from their sumner location. There is no way an extra 10 minutes is costing them 150 bucks extra. It amazes me people would pay this.

This was the best experience we have had. Lenny and Hunter were very professional and informative. They definitely will go the extra mile for their customers without having to reach into your pockets for more money! Can’t wait to use The Chimney Specialists for future cleanings and maintenance. This company was great from start to finish. I emailed them from Angie's List and they got back with me right away. They gave me a price and said between 10-12 on Saturday and they called me at 9:50 and were here promptly at 10:00. The guys were very professional and very friendly. They cleaned the dryer vent and then cleaned up the debris that came out of the vent and there was alot, and even hauled it away.
I highly recommend them.

We called this company to have the top half of our chimney removed since it was in very bad condition and not deemed safe by my house inspectors prior to purchasing the house. They sent out one of their men within a few days of calling who left us a quote. I set up a time for the removal and they showed up on time, called me at work to let me know they were at the house, and were very courteous and professional. All the debris was removed and they did a fantastic job. All my neighbors were delighted to see this done since it did pose a danger and was pretty unsightly. I would definitely recommend this company.

Toby and Jason came by today to clean and inspect two chimneys in my home. They were on time, seem very reliable and super knowledgeable, as I asked a ton of questions. It is clear that I need some work done on these chimneys and they told me what need to happen and when ideally it would happen. I will be using this company from now on. I had been struggling with a different chimney company that had poor communication and was disorganized. The previous company I was working with had recommended a chimney topper and a separate damper, amounting to nearly $1000 for installation! I'm so glad they lost my business and I found this company. The Chimney Specialists, Inc were able to see me within a week of calling to place a lifetime guaranteed top mount damper so that I can actually use my fireplace again. The person I spoke to on the phone was courteous and professional, and suggested a top mount damper given my description of what I needed. The cost including tax was around $530, and I am very pleased with the work done. Kyle and Zach came out and had it placed within 15 minutes. They were also careful to use a drop-rag and clean up after themselves. They made sure that I tried to use the damper myself and didn't have problems operating it. The previous owners of my home had it closed off our fireplace, and it wasn't functional when we moved in. We are so excited to get to stay warmer this winter! Thank you Kyle and Zach.

Toby and Alejandro came today right on time and checked out and cleaned our chimney and insert. As always we received prompt, friendly, professional service. When they left, everything was clean and in good order. We will continue to use The Chimney Specialists as long as we have a fireplace!

Brian H and Brent were extremely professional during the 3 days they worked on our home. They were friendly to my nosy little dog, and left the area cleaner than when they arrived. Brian kept me informed as the project progressed. When getting the estimate, we were fully informed about cost, procedures, duration of the project, and about other options. There were no surprises, and I would recommend them without hesitation. Additionally, Katy from the office staff was very helpful and pleasant.

Wow! Called on Monday and was able to have an inspection and cleaning of a wood pellet stove the same week. Tobey and Wes are professional and kind. They arrived early, did a FANTASTIC job inspecting, cleaning and repairing the fireplace. Answered all my questions, which provided great peace of mind regarding the usage of the system. Highly recommend the Chimney Specialists. Will be calling next year for sure.

They were great. Did a full inspection and cleaning. Mentioned some things I needed fixed but let me know I had time. No high pressure. I had them come back for minor repairs. The work was finished in half a day, the chimney looks like new and the price was reasonable. Brian and Jason S were great!
