Everything was done in a very timely manner and they made sure to fit our work schedule and the work done looks amazing, it’d give it a 10 star if I could. Thank you Mike was amazing and very responsive and knowledgeable and extremely helpful, he made sure we were happy with the work done and got it done in a very timely manner. All the MaxCare employees have been very polite and professional. We are still in the middle of the process, but the dry team Everett and Logan have been wonderful. They let me know when they entered and left the house (since I was not home most of the time), explained the process, left the workspace neat and clean, and answered all the questions I had. If I have to have repairs done then MaxCare Of Washington would definitely be the company I would use. I had a toilet overflow which came down through my dining room ceiling. Everything from ceiling repairs, painting, bathroom floors, carpet cleaning etc had to be repaired or replaced.

Jason, the project manager, brought all of this together from scheduling to completion. This company is so caring about their clients. Everyone from the office personnel to the different businesses involved in completing their job's were a pleasure to work with.

I was extremely pleased with the quality of their work. I was also impressed that each person introduced themselves when entering my home, showed up when they said they would, were polite,
and kept me updated as to what they were going to do and why. I would recommend this company again and again. You can't go wrong by using this company.

We are very happy with the service that was provided to us by MaxCARE’s employees Everett and Logan. Everett kept us informed every step of the way, was a pleasure to work with, and his smiling face and positive attitude helped us amidst a stressful situation. He provided very clear and concise details and descriptions about what was happening, and his communication and customer service skills were phenomenal. Hope to never need these services again but if we do, they will be the first ones we would call. This was an insurance claim we filed through USAA and are very pleased. I had a great experience with MaxCARE Water Damage Restorative Service. From start to finish, their team was professional, punctual, and efficient. They arrived right on time, got to work immediately, and handled everything with care and attention to detail.

In December of 2024 we had a surprise roof leak just before leaving on vacation. We immediately reported the leak to our insurance company & the insurance company called MaxCare out to tarp our roof & begin the dry out process before we left town, which was in only 2 days. Dustin with the MaxCare team arrived promptly, quickly diagnosed where the roof was leaking, began the dry out process & pinpointed where their roofing team should tarp the roof. MaxCare did such a great job with the water mitigation process that we choose to have them do the demo, repair & rebuild work as well. They completed the work efficiently, & left the workspace clean & tidy at all times. Our job did run into a few delays when our insurance company did not want to cover some of the repairs. Dave, the Project Manager with MaxCare jumped in & worked for us to coordinate with our insurance company until he got the approval needed. I really don’t know how he did it, but he worked with our insurance company until there was an agreement. We appreciated MaxCare’s professionalism, communication & expertise throughout the process. They made a bad situation actually enjoyable. They were knowledgeable, courteous, respectful & friendly. I would hire MaxCare again in a heartbeat.

Absolutely amazing experience with MaxCare! I had previously hired a company through my property association to handle mold mitigation, but unfortunately, they didn’t do a thorough job. The difference between that experience and working with MaxCare is night and day.

From the moment MaxCare stepped in, I felt confident things were finally being handled properly. Keoni and Vladimir were incredibly thorough on-site—taking their time to mitigate the issue while ensuring minimal damage to my home. They’re clearly experts at what they do and true professionals.

J, the mitigation team, Leo and Keo, were very professional and courteous as they were tearing the kitchen apart. They were always concerned about our safety, the noise they were making and showed a genuine concern to get everything done as quickly and competently as possible. Debbie was very impressed and thought they were both good people. We were not around to meet the contents people (Lance, Breon, Maria and Tyler) but the job they did was amazing. Everything was placed exactly where it was originally and the carpets look almost new again. The butcher block is really cool looking and Clayton did a great job fitting it together and making it almost seamless. MaxCARE did awesome for us after the bomb cyclone last November.

Mike in particular did an awesome job helping us get everything sorted - new roof, kitchen ceiling demo and restoration, anti-mold treatment, the whole enchilada.

The most awesome part about it was that it wasn't just done right, it was done FAST - new roof took a day, literally, and the kitchen repair and repaint was over two days.

Highly recommend these guys, and Mike in particular did an awesome job running point for us. Thanks!

Upon discovering a flooded floor due to a leaking tub, we contacted Maxcare. The water mitigation team responded quickly and did a thorough job of removing the damage and drying the flooring. They did an excellent job of containing the dust and fiberglass during this stage.
Our project manager, Mike Springer set up contractors to set a new tub, walls, and flooring in the bathroom, and bedroom carpet. He communicated with us frequently, kept us apprised of any changes and closely monitored the progress and quality of the work. All of the contractors were timely, and their work was of high quality.
In addition, Maxcare was knowledgeable about working with our insurance company which was very helpful in getting the repair estimate agreement. They also stayed within budget.
We would highly recommend Maxcare for emergency cleanup and repair work.

I could honestly write a novel on all the reasons NOT to use Maxcare of Washington, however, Google reviews has a character count and I have WAY exceeded it already. If you are reading this and are considering hiring this company, read in detail my review along with all the additional 1-star reviews. Believe them, because there is a very good chance you will run into the same problems we all did.

We hired Maxcare after our insurance, USAA, recommended them after we had water damages in our house that resulted in 2 separate claims (upstairs and downstairs). Prior to hiring them, I talked to Amanda Ross who was very friendly and very convincing. They were hired to complete work in our master bathroom, front living room, and dining room. It took them approx. 3.5 years to complete it (Nov 2021 - June 2024. They were over a year into the job (VERY SLOW) when we realized it was a mistake hiring them but it was too late, we were stuck. The only thing we could do was to keep asking for a different project manager and for them to re-do the bad work.

Unfortunately, due to each of the project managers being so unreliable, unprofessional, and unorganized, (Cecil Caster, Amanda Ross, and Mark Scott) we ended with Connor Roesch (Owner) near the tail end of the project, to finally get the remaining work done correctly. I have attached a list of just a few (not all) of the concerns we brought up while they were doing work on our house (see attachments). Note, I wish I had MORE photos to accompany this review but have attached a few. Had Maxcare’s project managers been on site more often and communicated more clearly with both their contractors and customers (us), I think a lot of the mistakes could have been avoided.

When it came time to pay, Maxcare (Mark) kept accusing us of not paying our bill despite us only receiving (2 separate claims = 2 invoices). After multiple emails over the course of 3- 4 months, we finally got the 2nd invoice and immediately requested an itemized breakdown of costs for both of them. After another few weeks, we finally got a breakdown of the costs. We discovered that Maxcare over charged us almost $15,000! No, this is NOT an exaggeration! (Ask Connor). Maxcare tried charging us for materials we BOUGHT, work and services NEVER completed, and work THEY had to redo due to their own mistakes.

Over the course of the 3-4 years Maxcare was doing work on our house, their ratings on Google jumped from 2.X% to 4.X% several different times due to over 100 questionable 5-star reviews. Review carefully and you will see a pattern of reused words with another employee’s name thrown in. (Yelp is more accurate). I HATE leaving bad reviews but the stress of dealing with Maxcare for such a long time was tolling not only our marriage but our mental and physical health. I don’t want anyone else making the mistake we did!

With the exception of a few subcontractors, there was only 1 Maxcare employee we truly trusted when it came to doing work in our house - Nick Pierce. He fixed many of the mistakes the other contractors made. Despite him making one of the mistakes mentioned in the attachment, that he ultimately took responsibility (bathroom ceiling paint), he was absolutely great to work with and was communicative, trustworthy, and talented. If he has been assigned to do work in your house consider yourself lucky. Unfortunately, we didn’t meet him until over a year into our nightmare when he was hired to fix most of the other contractors’ bad work for us. My 1-star review does NOT reflect on him what-so-ever. I hope he is eventually stable enough to be able to go back to working for his own business “Quality Woodworking” because he does not need this company ruining his reputation.

I genuinely hope that this review helps save someone from all the years of stress we went through having to deal with this incompetent company. I also hope USAA (or any other insurance companies) never send another customer their way after the way we (both us and USAA) were treated.

With many memory and physical difficulties on my part, MaxCare worked to make this easy for my family & I to navigate and always led the way with every detail. We chose Maxcare to restore our basement from water damage due to a burst pipe and we are so glad we did. Our project manager, Kevin was terrific. He coordinated the project extremely well. He kept us informed of every stage and came over and checked the work that was done. He was reliable, knowledgeable, friendly and understood our needs. Everyone at Maxcare was great, fm the estimator, to the front office and all the workers, especially Emerson, Peter, the floor guys and the Contents guys. Our basement was left cleaner and in much better shape than it was. We highly recommend Maxcare if you have a project and you don't want to spend the time or effort to manage it. They do a great job and will do it all!

Overall, a good experience (3.5/5). We dealt with a lot of delays, and had to call repeatedly to get on the repair schedule. The sub-contractors that Max Care uses are all superb, and did a great job. However, the responsiveness and scheduling of MaxCare was less than ideal. To us, it seemed as subs are overbooked and rushed from a job to job, thus causing a lot of delays.

We would rate the repairs as 5/5; subs as 5/5; but MaxCare customer support and responsiveness as 3.5/5.

Updated Review:

I wanted to take some time before writing this updated review to ensure we understood the full extent of the issue. About a week after the work was completed, our toilet began to leak. This toilet had been reset by a MaxCARE employee during the flooring installation. On a positive note, Kevin was responsive and sent someone to assess and fix the issue that same evening. They discovered that the shut-off valve for the toilet hadn’t been tightened completely, which caused water to drip. However, the next day, the toilet started leaking again.

Once more, Kevin was quick to respond, arranging for a plumber to come out the following day. This plumber and his assistant removed the toilet to investigate. Prior to any involvement from MaxCARE, we had already addressed a faulty toilet flange by hiring a reputable plumber with over 12 years of experience. After replacing the flange, the toilet functioned without issues until the water mitigation work began.

The plumber MaxCARE sent out questioned us repeatedly about whether we had used a "real" business for the flange installation, despite our reassurances. He claimed “it didn’t make sense” and he had "never seen anything like this before," which was concerning, especially given his years of plumbing experience. We discussed whether the toilet might have been reset incorrectly, and he acknowledged that was possible but suggested it was more likely a flange issue.

We agreed to have the MaxCARE plumber reset the toilet and monitor for leaks.It’s now been weeks without any issues, suggesting that the initial problem stemmed from the improper resetting by the MaxCARE employee, not the flange installed by our trusted plumber.

Additionally, during the initial walk through with MaxCARE, we specifically requested that all necessary caulking be handled by their team. Kevin assured us it would be done. However, when the flooring work was finished, we had to ask about the caulking, as it hadn’t been completed. The worker was unaware it was part of his responsibilities and used what he had in his vehicle, which resulted in poorly set caulking.

After the first leak, we requested that the compromised caulking be redone, but once again, the response was lackluster. When I asked for the caulking to be redone where it hadn’t set properly—suggesting the use of a backer rod—the job was completed haphazardly without addressing the gaps effectively.
Ultimately, we found it necessary to redo the caulking ourselves, as we sensed MaxCARE was reluctant to assist further. I was disappointed with our overall experience, and if MaxCARE's services were offered again through insurance, I would have to decline.

Initial Review:
We had some drywall and flooring that had to be redone after a leak in our bathroom. Our insurance set us up with MaxCare and it was a great experience. Kevin was our main contact and he answered all my questions before the work was done. Also loved that he was easy to communicate with either by text or a phone call. Everybody we worked with was also on time which is a huge plus.

We had a tremendous amount of water damage. A hot water pipe had been leaking, unobserved, for several months. There had been subtle wood warping and mold throughout the house. Eventually the damage was pronounced enough to warrant attention. MaxCARE of Washington replaced the floor throughout the house, including the master bathroom and shower unit. Mold had to be mitigated as well. Every person MaxCARE of Washington sent through the course of the project was personable, professional and knowledgeable. Not only will we use them for additional projects, but we have already suggested MaxCARE of Washington to friends and our insurance adjusters. ~Warren Henderson

Don't let this people in your house!!!
I know they will respond to this review, saying they don't have a record of them working with us. It's a lie. I have a copy of the estimate drafted by MaxCare.
This company is contracted by insurance companies to provide deflated (low as possible or below market vallue) estimates, so insurance companies would not have to pay the true cost of repairs.
Our kitchen was flooded in May. Other companies gave us estimates that were way above of what MaxCare drafted in their estimate. One company estimated our repairs at 29K, another company's estimate was 34K, and couple other companies calculated the cost of repairs above 40K. MaxCare's estimate was 14K. In their estmate MaxCare did not include the necessary repairs. Their plan was to replace two cabinets that would not match with the rest of the kitchen. This would bring the vallue of our house significantly down. Well, they don't care because the quality and customers' saticefaction is not on their agenda. They work for insurance companies and don't care about homeowners. If you want the bigger picture, check the reviews for MaxCare on Yelp. Every other review says that they destroyed their home.
When I called MaxCare and asked them to send me a copy of the estimate, Lora told me "No", she won't send me the estimate because they were contracted by insurance. MaxCare came to MY HOME, took photos, drafted their fradual estimate, so the insurance could rip us off, and refused to give me the estimate of repairs. Have you ever heard of such nonsense? This does not appear like legal actions to me.
Before hiring MaxCare check Yelp reviwes. People stated that they were pretty much forced by their insurance to hire MaxCare and Maxcare left their homes destroyed.
It's already August and my kitchen still hasn't been repaired.

It is a pleasure to write this review of our experience with MaxCARE of Washington. Our “relationship” started with their response to mitigate multi-level home water damage (an insurance claim) and blossomed into our request of them to do a full remodel of a kitchen and bathroom, interior painting and more.

We would not have selected them to do the upgrade work if it had not been for the caliber of technicians and other professionals, they sent out to do the insurance work. These initial “first responder” folks were outstanding in locating the source of the problem, as well as mitigating more damage, doing testing, removing soiled materials and estimating necessary repair work. Every single person MaxCARE sent out to our home in these early stages was efficient, knowledgeable and courteous. The care and craftsmanship shown by their staff helped us select MaxCARE for further business beyond the insurance repairs.

Of course, we did some homework before launching into remodeling and upgrading. Things checked out – aligning with our own initial experience. Our good fortune was magnified immensely by the Project Manager MaxCARE assigned to us – Kevin Carbon. He was superb!

We understand people initially enamored with their contractor/builder often end up with tense and less-than-favorable relationships before things are finished. This was not our experience with MaxCARE. Throughout the process, the work was performed by quality professionals with great attitudes – including all the subcontractor tradespeople as well as the “movers and packers” and other specialists employed by MaxCARE. In a nutshell, the people sent out to our project were top performers – and all of them friendly and service-oriented. MaxCARE made us feel like we were an important customer.

We cannot speak more highly of Mr. Carbon’s approach and oversight. Having previously worked in a profession that involved project managers, I would rate his project management skills among the best I’ve ever seen. His care that “everything went right all the way through” was obvious and appreciated. (The James Bond theme song “Nobody Does It Better” could be appropriate background music inserted here!)

A project of this nature involves so many people coming to your home over time. While we did not catch everyone’s name, a number of top-quality individuals stood out and really had the “WOW” factor.

We had water damage last summer from our refrigerator. It flooded both the upstairs and downstairs. Our insurance company's preferred vendor was MaxCare. Steve Flint was our project manager. He was great. He helped answer questions along the way, he was personable and showed great empathy for what we were going through. We weren't his only customers and he was very busy managing multiple claims, but he never dropped the ball for us. He met up with us both at the house and at different vendors to go over options for replacement materials. He was direct whenever he could be in timelines and expectation management. There were a couple times a subcontractor would show up to start work, and it would catch
us off guard. But we were fortunate to always have someone home. Front office folks at MaxCare were great as well with coordinating between us and the insurance company. Grateful for Steve and MaxCare getting us back to normal.

After a tree fell on our home. MaxCARE was assigned by our insurance company to oversee the clean-up and repair. They were quick to respond, making emergency repairs. Estimates of damage were made and a Project Manager, Cecil Caster, was assigned. He was a lifesaver for us as we were out of the country during most of the repairs. Cecil kept us informed, and answered all our questions, kept us apprised of next steps, and awaited our return before requiring a walkthrough to sign off on the project. The work was excellent, the service topnotch.

My project was to repair damage to part of my garage and wood shop and clean up debris from the damage. The job required a little of everything including carpentry, plumbing, electrical and rehanging an overhead door. Their work was excellent and done per the schedule. I could write a couple paragraphs about this business going into complete details but at this point going on 8 months of being dragged through the trenches by them. I will say this company lacks integrity & in your moments of vulnerability they will take advantage of you leaving you dealing with the after math of their incomplete substandard work while also destroying your house & property more with zero accountability. Kevin carbon is an unethical ignominious human being which is backed by his “supervisor” Mark Scott as if it’s their standard of how they conduct business,they will leave you high & dry while their only goal is to line their own pockets. You can use MaxCare or don’t. I have never encountered a disgraceful business such as MaxCare & would absolutely not recommend them by any means.

Cecil came back to the house to check on the job after it was done and even went farther to fix the carpet on the stairs that was ripped from the corner that wasn't even the part they were hired to fix. Project Manager Jason is a good communicator. He responds quickly to all your contacts with him. The subs were punctual and respectful of our home. Skylights Leaking - Who ya gonna call? Well I am so glad I called MaxCare. I needed 2 skylights replaced and decided to replace all 3 as they were all 28 years old. Starting with the skylights, Fernando and crew arrived on time, did an excellent job installing the skylights and cleaned up all the debris. They were very respectful of me and my property. This great service carried through to Emerson and Junior who repaired my wall and painted my entire ceiling. And today Logan came and framed the inside of the skylights to give them a nice finished look. MaxCare kept me apprised from start to finish and Jason (who didn’t want any praise) was a pleasure to work with. He even did a little extra job for me in my kitchen for free - now that’s service. Good job MaxCare!

Thank you to the Maxcare crew and our project manager Jason! They did wonderful work after a tree root broke into our septic pipe and backed up some pretty gross stuff into our basement. Flooring and drywall had to be replaced and maxcare went right to work. We ended up changing our flooring, calling it our "unintended remodel". Add drywall repair and a fresh coat of paint... and we are up and running again. Thank you for the courtesy, great communication and great work. Would recommend :)

Flexible, knowledgeable, and fair priced! From start to finish, Mark and his team delivered expert care in demolition, drying, and restoration of our home when our new washing revealed it was defective upon delivery and took out the floor of our third floor and the ceiling of our second.

We worked with MaxCare last September on a water damage case, with Jason as our project manager specifically. They did a great job coordinating getting the work done quickly with great quality. We liked the partners they chose to work on drywall, painting, flooring etc. Jason communicated well and made good recommendations. They also worked well with the insurance and coordinated some communication with the Mitigation Company.

Unfortunately, we had another unrelated damage soon after and had no doubt to work again with them. I requested to work with Jason again since he did a great job. We had some of their same partners work with us again, plus a plumber. They were all great.

I would recommend MacCare, Jason and the partners they work with anytime.

A seemingly 'small' water damage in our master bathroom turned into a remodel of the whole bathroom and adjacent closet. MaxCare delivered us a beautiful, better than it ever was result! It took a long time because of holidays and availability, but project manager Kevin Carbon took great care to make the process as painless as possible for us. He demonstrated excellent taste suggesting finish materials and watched over the quality of the final result as if it were his own house. Most of all, Kevin was wonderfully kind and respectful toward our family and home. He was great to work with!

My experience with MaxCARE of WA in Sumner so far is excellent. They are the preferred provider recommended by USAA. Strong wind has caused a fallen tree limb to puncture a hole through a metal roof. There were water damage to three rooms and the hallway.
This project is currently in the first phase - water mitigation. Jake (Operations Manager) is very good in communicating and coordinating appointments for the (3) jobs so far. They came as a team of 2 technicians (Kione/Leo) (Rich/Nash) & (Joshua/Nash) for each trip – all were timely, friendly, hardworking respectful professionals. They have patiently explained the process and answered all my anxious questions. I especially appreciate Joshua, his knowledge and ways of explaining was excellent. It seemed that he really cares and loves his job.
I look forward to the same level of service for the next phase of repairs/restoration and get this house back in good shape.

The repairs to the wind storm damages have completed. The roof/gutter repairs were done by another contractor. I chose to use Maxcare for the inside repairs that consisted of carpet pads replacement, drywall repairs, painting and carpet cleaning.

This process begin with Denise Jackson (Office Manager) who patiently explained and guided me through the administrative process. Ashley from the office was very helpful as well. Mike Springer (Project Manager) was assigned to work with me after the repair estimates were approved by USAA Insurance.

Working with Mike went smoothly, he coordinated/scheduled different jobs that were required. Mike was pleasant and very responsive to all my concerns and questions - eliminated some of my anxieties. The various workers were on time, professional, hard working with getting the jobs completed without hiccups. Thank you to everyone involved in getting my house back in shape. Mike ensured that quality work were done. I am very pleased with my experience with Maxcare of WA.

This was my original review. It still stands, the work was great- "Great experience working with them. They were hired by my insurance company, USAA and they did a great job. Would hire again!"

I've changed my rating from a 5 to a 1 because of payment issues. I was about to process my payment in their online payment portal and it said "wait, we add 3% because of this payment method, go back if you want to pay another way", so I went back to the previous screen and because I had already completed the form I received an error saying I couldn't use the portal again. I explained this when I called and they said they could not process my payment without the 3%. She said the portal would have given other options, but it no longer allowed me to use it. I had to pay over $100 to pay them BECAUSE NO ONE HAS FREAKING CHECKS ANYMORE! USAA is my bank and they don't even have a physical location I can go to. Very upset.

2nd Update: I changed my rating from a one to a 3 because USAA reimbursed me the 3%. They were supposed to pay them directly so that shouldn't fall on me.

In conclusion, happy with the work, annoyed with the bookkeeping process. I think these bookkeeping processes are standard for this industry, but it's time for this industry to get with the times!

I highly recommend MaxCare of Washington.

I used MaxCare of Washington after I had water damage in a bathroom. They handled the water damage mitigation, repaired subflooring, removed and replaced flooring, repaired drywall, repainted, and installed a new bathtub. At every step of the project, I found the MaxCare team members to be prompt, courteous, and professional.

Project Manager Jason H. kept the project going on time (even during the holiday season) and made it effortless on my end. Jason communicated clearly about all the steps of the project (what was happening and when) and what I could expect. He quickly responded to any questions and followed up after each step to make sure the work was completed correctly (which it always was).

In 2021,our house suffered a very serious fire which caused most of the upper floor surfaces and roof to be destroyed. Our insurance company State Farm contacted an estimator Brian from MaxCARE. We were pleased with his work, and this led us to select MaxCARE as our contractor for the restoration of our home. We have been extremely appreciative of all of the excellent planning and scheduling done by our contractor Connor, including many suggestions for special situations which arose. Throughout the process, Connor provided excellent communication with us by text, email, telephone, and onsite visits and was always willing to carefully answer all of our questions. Connor also communicated well with our insurance company State Farm. In addition, we have been pleased with the help of the office staff at MaxCare.
All of the professionals and technicians selected by MaxCARE were very competent and completed all aspects of the work with great attention to detail. They were all hard workers and pleasant people who seemed to take pride in doing excellent work. As a result, our home has been beautifully restored, even though the construction conditions involved replacing all upper roof structure, while preserving the downstairs and completely reconstructing the upper floor from the framing.
We are extremely pleased with MaxCARE and Connor. We are happy that we had the good fortune to have them as contractor.
