I want to give the most honest review here with the least negativity possible. If you are in the western Washington (Bremerton) area this review is for you (I can’t say how they do in other areas or who they send out there):

Initially, they were great! Very prompt! Though I’m not sure my ideas were understood correctly since I had to explain several times. We had a kitchen remodel and all new flooring done in the kitchen, living and dining area as well as a hall so that everything flowed nicely. We had our current cabinets painted, new quartz counters and a new kitchen island with waterfall sides. We also had a vent hood installed where our old microwave was. Our new microwave was installed inside the island. We also had pendant lights over the island, a light moved, a new sink with faucet and new cabinet handles. We also had a pipe fixed in my laundry.

The price quoted was expensive so I figured we’d have a beautiful finished product with super skilled contractors. The entire job was done pretty quickly, I’d say a week or 2 at most? Which to me was very impressive! We did not stay in my house during the renovations so it was nice that it was done quickly. When we moved back in, there were some things I wasn’t overly impressed with like some paint on the floor near the baseboards that were painted, the baseboards being put back together poorly, sink drain leaking and really bad caulking jobs. No big deal. These few things were minor to me and they came back out and fixed the baseboards and sink (though I have found it was still leaking but very slowly).

Fast forward to almost a year after the work was done. My floors that were once beautiful were ALL buckling! I had vinyl planks installed btw. I didn’t know that you could not place a kitchen island cabinets directly and secured to, the floating vinyl floor. When I contacted the project manager she did try to make it right promptly. She first tried to have the floor manufacturer cover the cost but it was found that it was an install problem (which now that I know, it clearly was an install problem). They did not really take accountability BUT they did replace the floor which was great! I had to once again leave my house for a week and pay for an airbnb. That part was inconvenient and a little expensive. They mentioned I may have to pay for more quartz if it cracks when they remove it since we have waterfall sides. This made no sense to me since it wasn’t my fault the floors buckled. Anyway everything went well and the quartz did not crack and floors were reinstalled. There were again a few things I was not too happy with but I was quite over the whole construction scene. The toe kick bottom of the island was cut too short and they used a piece of flooring to cover the gap in a corner. Also the microwave should have been installed prior to the quartz so they put a lot of glue to glue all the edges of the sides they couldn’t screw in due to there not being enough room. The hood vent also looked funky so they had to put a piece of trim to make it look better which it did but would have looked better had they installed it correctly.

This leads me to the reason I’m writing the review. It has not Been 2 months since the second floor went in and now my $800 hood vent is no longer working. I am past my warranty (most construction company’s do a year warranty I think) so I won’t be bugging them to fix it but now I have to buy and have a whole new vent installed! Ugh I am frustrated to be honest.

All in all, if you want work done fast in this area, maybe they are the company for you but they won’t be cheap. If you don’t mind all the little things. But for someone like me, that pays very close attention to detail, you might want to check out another contractor. I was not here to micromanage and maybe if I was things would have been better but who likes to be micromanaged or to do the micromanaging? You shouldn’t have to hold anyone’s hand. I think the way this company works is they subcontract to whoever is available and not enough or no proper quality control.

We did a major bathroom remodel with Elevation and are thrilled with the results. The tile work is especially exceptional and we've gotten lots of compliments. They paid attention to details that we as homeowners hadn't even considered. Would definitely work with them again.

I don't like leaving negative reviews, but Elevation performed impressively poor work on our complete 8-unit rehab. Up front, their price was 80% higher than it should have been, and so we expected the repairs to be performed to exceptional standard. In actuality, everyone we've had out to tour the property afterward - from tenants to property managers to real estate agents to numerous other contractors - has commented specifically on the terrible quality of their repairs. For instance: newly installed sinks leak and cause water damage to the floor, newly installed ranges fail immediately, and much more. They have remedied a few (far, far from all) of these issues, but these massive headaches should not have been a problem in the first place. I have worked with maybe five other GCs and while Elevation was more organized with a convenient online portal, I would take ANY of my other previous GCs over Elevation. If you do work with them, be prepared to spend way over budget and be sure to be on site with them every day to hold their hand and hold them accountable for their work in real time.

It has truly been a disappointment to have ever crossed paths with Elevation Construction.

Would give the team here zero stars if I could. We worked with them through a connection. Initially one of their employees made a general budget when purchasing an investment property and magically a month later after closing the prices changed anywhere from 50 to 400% what was expected. The work they did was ultimately overpriced which we found out by talking to property managers and poorly done and limiting our ability to find tenants and also causing us to redo work for extra cost. We have reached out to see if they would come and fix issues and they either don't reply or deflect responsibility. Even our property managers have been appalled at their work and have filed with BBB without us commenting. Do yourself a favor and find someone else to do your GC work.

I was dreading hiring a contractor to redo my ugly brown bathroom, but so glad I found Elevation! Not only did they constantly keep me in the loop, arrived on time, but I am IN LOVE with the bathroom tile they suggested! My bathroom was the first of many projects in my home and I look forward to making the rest of my house just as stunning as my bathroom!

Service questions
1. Should I stay home during roof replacement?

It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.

2. How long does roof replacement take?
+-

The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
