Truly, words cannot express how grateful we are to have had Tahoe Brothers complete our project after an unexpected flood/ water damage in our home. Dealing with insurance was an absolute nightmare until Tahoe Brothers got involved. Chad came out and made us feel a lot less stressed about the situation right out of the gate, and he worked with us and our adjuster to make sure things were set right again. Ryan, the owner, personally oversaw and worked on the project, constantly communicating updates and providing reassurance throughout the whole process. Danny and Dylan also put a lot of time and work in, which we are so thankful for. Everyone really went above and beyond what was expected for this job. What started as a nightmare situation ended up resulting in our DREAM kitchen, thanks to Tahoe Brothers Construction. We cannot thank and recommend them enough. These are good people who do great work.

Tahoe Brothers did a fabulous job reconstructing our hard wood floors and master bathroom after they were damaged by a water leak. Ryan, Jay, Chad and Debbie were very responsive and helpful throughout the project. Like their motto says they were with us every step of the way.

Our dining room tile floor was damaged by a burst water pipe. We took this opportunity to remodel the adjoining kitchen by adding new flooring, cabinets, and counters (butcher block and quartz).

Our project manager, Danny, was consistently professional, punctual, and courteous. His communication via text and email was always clear, timely, and helpful. With any long term remodeling project, there are definite highs and lows. However, with Danny’s even-tempered communication style, it was much easier to receive the surprises along the way. Danny went to great lengths to make sure that we got what we wanted. Change orders were smoothly incorporated and he routinely gave us opportunities to ask questions. One time he returned to the office to get grout samples to let us verify we got the color we wanted. Danny also helped us source a vented hood we were looking for in a specific color.

With Tahoe Brothers we felt very well taken care of from the very beginning. Chad helped us with the insurance side of things. His thorough estimation of the scope of the project assisted us in getting the amount we were owed from the insurance company. He was diligent in taking notes and asking clarifying questions when we communicated our needs and wants for the new kitchen. At one point Chad even measured our crockpot to make sure that the new drawers could accommodate our small appliances.

Debbie assisted in choosing our tile, flooring and cabinet choices. We gave her a general idea of what we were looking for and she helpfully narrowed down choices for us. It made an overwhelming process much more feasible. She was patient and listened to our feedback as we slowly made our choices.

The demolition was meticulous. They put down cardboard to protect our existing wood floors and plastic sheeting for the garage floor where they helped us salvage cabinets we wanted to save. Everything was swept clean daily. With two toddlers running around the house, it was nice not having to worry about foreign objects lying around. In addition to cleanliness, supplies and appliances stored in the garage were neat and organized. They treat the client’s home with respect.

Dillon installed our cabinets, open shelving, butcher block counters and baseboards. He also did the painting for our project. Needless to say he did a majority of what we would be living with. We are very pleased with his detailed workmanship. His finished work often surpassed what we were expecting. Dillon was also patient when we changed our minds about shelf placement. He was able to move it and make the additional touch ups to make it look seamless.

There were delays to our project, but Danny was always quick to inform us of the new schedule and also did his best to move other parts of the project ahead while we waited for other components. We were also pleased by how the meticulous attention to detail was sustained to the very end of the project.

WIth such a long term endeavor, we are so thankful that we chose Tahoe Brothers. They took care of our many concerns and did everything with quality and integrity. We will definitely work with Tahoe Brothers again if the need should arise.

Jay (project manager) is so respectful, paid attention to detail, helped with color choices, always showed up when he said he would, left things better than it was before. He’s such a perfectionist. If 10 stars were an option thats what I would give him. I want to give a a huge Thank You to Tahoe Brothers (Jay, Chad, Debbie and the crew) for our kitchen remodel.

Very professional and work very well done. The kitchen and floors remodel went great and the work was delivered before they promised, a whole 30 days before they promised. It helps that the house was empty and no one living in it for them to go in to work whenever they needed to. Overall very happy with the results. Jay Anderson and the rest of the team (Debbie, Ryan, Rob, David, Danny, Andy) transformed my old kitchen and bathroom into beautiful modern spaces. I had taken on some remodeling projects at our prior home and had no desire to do that again. Jay's attention to details made making decisions about materials and layout so much easier. The work was excellent. The Project Manager, Danny, was thorough, professional, and conscientious. The only downside was that it took a long time for the project to be completed. That situation improved greatly when the Project Manager appeared on the scene. He made the best use of the crew's time to ensure the project would be completed as soon as possible and that it would result in a beautiful outcome.

Jay is the best project manager ever!! Very responsible always on time and willing to help he manages his crew with respect and is always on top of everything, I wish I could give him 10 stars, I had done some remodeling before and was a nightmare this time with Jay & Tahoe brothers it was a such a different experience, they are the very best !!!!

I had water damage to my Gen room and Tahoe brothers was able to restore everything back to its original design. They found all of the same materials that was used to build that room. They didn’t leave any mess (unlike some other companies who leave their trash everywhere).

What I loved most was that Ryan who is the owner was always on site doing a lot of the work himself, over seeing that his staff was doing everything properly to his standards, and he completed most of the finishing touches himself. Ryan notices everything and is a perfectionist. I never felt like I had to double check his work because I already knew he was a perfectionist and that it would be done well. Honestly I never even bothered to check that the room was done, he said it was done and I believed him.

We had water heater installed under the kitchen sink and he’s such a perfectionist that he bought 5 different sizes just to make sure we had the right size installed. I feel like most people would probably just buy one standard size and call it a day.

Two weeks after everything was done, my kitchen sink disposal wasn’t working. The air hose got disconnected and wasn’t sure if it got loosened after they had installed the water heater. But I contacted Ryan and he gladly came over and reconnected it back.

Ryan has great communication skills and will respond back in a timely manner and keep you updated on when things are coming in or when things will be done. We recently got our backyard done and the company we went with didn’t respond back to our questions for 4 weeks and when they did call us back they were annoyed with me and made me feel like I was a nuisance. So, it was comforting to know that Ryan just naturally would keep us in loop of when the floors would be done or when the plumber would come by. I never had to keep calling his company to find out when they would be back, he always told us exactly when they would be back.

They started in February and got done with everything in May. In my opinion I feel like this company is honest and reliable. You don’t get those two very often now days. If you’ve bought a home or had your backyard done you know what I mean by companies that aren’t always honest or reliable.

Wanted to add that we need supplemental money from our insurance for the repairs. We have LM and they were being difficult about giving us the rest of the money. But Chad emailed them back and forth for several days and provided detailed information to prove why the repairs cost more than their original quote. It took weeks for them to finally agree to send us the supplemental check, but they finally sent it. Without that extra check I’m not so sure we could have afforded it on our own. So, I really appreciated Chad fighting for us to get that check. Because if I had to argue with the insurance on my own I’m sure I would have given up because they kept denying everything that Chad was saying in the beginning.

So that’s just another reason why I truly love this company. Obviously Chad is probably fighting with them so his company will get paid but I feel like he could also just say well it’s still your responsibility regardless if your insurance will pay for it or not.

Ryan and his team far exceeded any expectation or hopes we had for our kitchen. The amount of professionalism shown to us throughout the process was outstanding. You can tell they really value their customers from the initial conversation all the way through completion. Our kitchen was done quickly, the job site was clean and they were very respectful. Any questions we had were answered quickly and we felt like we could really trust the Tahoe Brothers Construction team. We would highly recommend!! So happy with our kitchen. Thank you!!

We retired to Reno 5 years ago and purchased a 1940 house in the Old Southwest. The Winter of 2023 resulted in catastrophic water damage from the multiple upgrades over the years.

We were referred to another GC, who we later learned, had a predatory reputation for targeting the elderly and, unfortunately, lived up to his reputation. He took all of the insurance money, left the house in worse shape than he found it, and declared bankruptcy.

We were in a really bad way, trying to figure out how to proceed.

Fortunately, we were directed to Tahoe Brothers and the situation took a 180. Ryan, Chad, and Debbie couldn’t have done a better job- working with the local inspectors (and pulling permits that the original contractor, somehow, had forgotten to do). They sweated the details- locating fixture components, tiles, and solving code issues that, naturally, attend an 80+ year old house.

Their communication over the course of the remediation was exceptional. Their focus on restoring, and even improving the quality of the original house was impressive.

Consider yourself lucky if Tahoe Brothers is willing to take on your project. We certainly do.

Our house sustained heavy water damage from snow and ice dams during winter 2022-2023. The living room, dining room, kitchen, family room, master bedroom and master bathroom were unlivable. We tried to get several contractors to bid on the rebuild, but no one called us back. Lucky for us! Because we then found Tahoe Brothers. Chad Kaylor was awesome working with the insurance company. He made an impossible situation so much better, we felt we were in very capable hands, and he gave us back peace of mind. The crew, headed by Jay Anderson, did a spectacular job repairing our home. They were on time and professional, they listened to our concerns and addressed them promptly. I couldn't have picked a better company to work with. AMAZING IN EVERY WAY!!!! When I think of Tahoe Brothers Construction a specific quote comes to mind, "Building is not just about creating shelter or functionality. Its about realizing dreams, creating spaces where LIFE happens, where memories are made, making a place a home," because that is exactly what Tahoe Brothers did for me and my family. In the end of 2022 and going into the beginning of 2023 our home was victim to some old water pipes that broke and caused an insane amount of damage to our kitchen. Being new home owners we were at a loss of exactly what to do. After getting set up with Tahoe Brothers our worries were quickly diminished. Tahoe Brothers came in and laid the foundation of the step by step process on exactly what we needed to do to get the process going and get our house back in working order. My family and I were not able to afford to stay anywhere while the construction was ongoing so we had to live in and around the construction going on. With any construction, there is a worry about strangers being in your house, how they will interact with your day to day life, and how they might interact with your family. Me, working a full time job, being a father of a 3 month old at the time with my wife being a stay at home mother, I had some major concerns with how this might play out. I have to say I was PLEASENTLY SUPPRISED. Tahoe Brothers has hired on some OUTSTANDING employees who value the safety and sanity of a home. We had the pleasure of working Chad who helped us organize and outline what was needed and how it was all going to play out. When it came time do demo we had the pleasure of working with BIG ROB and JAY right away as they began the demolition process. Rob and Jay immediately noticed that we had a young one in the home and went out of their way, above and beyond, to ensure that what they were doing didn't interfere with the baby. They made sure every nail, splinter, debris, and tool was put away and cleaned up at all times to make sure our baby was in a safe environment. They constantly asked if we were okay with the noise and let us know every time they were about to do something too loud or jarring. They were always sweeping, vacuuming up, and wiping down our stuff to ensure a clean environment. They even worked around our babies nap times when needed and were super respectful at all times to myself, my wife and our baby. Over the course of the construction the Tahoe brothers team really started to feel more like family to us. When it came time to rebuild and get our kitchen back up and running, Chad and Ryan took the lead. Chad was outstanding in working with us as we tried to figure out exactly what we wanted and asked critical questions about our day to day lives to see what would work best for our family. Once we got the outline of what we wanted situated and were ready to move forward, Ryan took over. I really can’t say enough good things about Ryan. This man is something else. Ryan is one of those "dime a dozen" people you meet every once in a while, in your life. Very genuine, kind, and understanding with his customers.... or at least with us. Ryan was on the ball at all times, constantly engaging with us to keep us in the loop on their step-by-step process as they navigated the rebuild. Ryan treated us like we were Royalty demonstrating a level of customer service that is not common in this industry. Come to find out (without him telling us himself) he's the freaking owner taking over our small job because he saw it need to be done. Talk about being HUMBLE too!! Ryan and Chad handled our insurance company (which is a pain in the A** alone), all inspections, all plumbing and electric as well. They made the rebuild feel like a breeze. Ryan even went WAY out of his way to get us the material we wanted to finish up our countertops. I HIGHLY recommend them to anyone in the area. In a world of sketchy contractors, and poor quality work, Tahoe Brothers sets the bar on how to do things done the right way, the first time, with quality in their work that will make your jaw drop.

Do yourself a favor and hire Tahoe Brothers. It really is the best thing you can do. The whole team Chad, Ryan, Debbie, and the rest of the team are amazing. I was stuck in a long drawn out insurance/vendor battle that destroyed the better part of my kitchen. Tahoe Bros helped me with everything. Answered all my questions and even checked in as the year long struggle continued until the end. They will really be with you every step of the way. Not to mention the best part! Kitchen looks amazing!

Ryan and his crew did a fantastic job on our very difficult and complex project. We completely rebuilt our kitchen and remodeled 6 other rooms, and the results are spectacular! Tahoe Brothers did an excellent job coordinating all the subcontractors and submitting all the insurance paperwork (for water damage). With such a big project, there were of course a few mishaps and unexpected issues along the way. I have to give credit to Ryan — he handled all the surprises with professionalism, courtesy, and grace. He communicated with us at every step along the way, and he always made sure we were satisfied with all the work. You just don't see customer service like that very often. Tahoe Brothers gets our highest recommendation!

Have you ever had a referral that you didn’t use and then later regretted it? I ended up going with another company only because they could start the repairs sooner.
This was the worst choice that I could have made! 3 months later and my home is still not repaired from the water damage that occurred. So many problems I can’t event get into it.
My point in coming back to leave a positive review for Tahoe Brothers is out of pure regret for not utilizing their services. These guys were not only referred to me by people in the community but my insurance adjuster as well!
When I initially met with the owner from Tahoe Brothers he was very knowledgeable and professional. He was also very honest about timelines to complete the job. I also trusted that he had the expertise on his staff to complete the job.

We had an incredible experience with Tahoe Brothers. Not only did they consistently keep their promises and deliver on time, but their friendly and responsible nature made the entire process much more enjoyable. We had a water damaged bathroom in the house we bought. There was dark wood paneling, a non-functional shower/tub, and water damage around the tub (see before pictures). First we had a water damage and restoration company (911 Restoration) clean everything out. They recommended Tahoe Brothers for the remodel. We got a bid from Tahoe Brothers and a couple other places. Tahoe Brothers was the most reasonable (i.e. best value for the money). They took the time to explain the quote, and worked with us to remove some items that we planned to do ourselves (painting, trim, etc.). Ryan (one of the owners) was super easy to work with--he was always communicative by phone/email, and we felt taken care of every step of the way. He would explain pros and cons of various decisions to us, provide advice, and regularly checked in at the end of the workday to outline next steps/timeline. Aside from doing some of the work (framing), he would show up during project work to check on progress with his sub contractors. There were a couple times when he even ordered re-dos of certain items because they were not up to his standards. Tahoe Brothers and their subcontractors did some reframing (to remove water damaged studs), plumbing, tub installation, tile surround and floor, shower door install, shelving, vanity install, and toilet reinstallation. We liked being able to choose materials ourselves within the general budget provided by Tahoe Brothers. For example, we had an $X budget built in for tile, and we were able to go find the tile we wanted locally here in Reno. The bathroom turned out spectacular and we are very happy with it (see after photos). We highly recommend Tahoe Brothers and would definitely use them again in the future.

Ryan and his crew were efficient, conscientious and got our job finished with as minimal of an impact to our lives as possible. They are extremely responsive and professional. We would hire them again in a heartbeat!!!

Our home flooded from the water heater, Chris came out and was very helpful in making the process less stressful. The team, such a great group of guys, came in and removed all of the flooring, sub floor and made the BEST suggestions for affordability and comfort for replacing everything. Ended up getting rid of the wood flooring and replaced with carpet and I couldn't be happier! My floors don't creak anymore either.
