Quality of work and knowledge are great and I’ve always been pleased with their work in the past but their billing practices have some serious flaws. They charged me $75 to travel to Colville when diagnosing my problem and then another $75 when the parts came in. Both the labor (20-30 min each time) and the travel fees exceeded the actual cost of the parts to fix my system. My bill was several hundred higher than it would have been if I’d called a Colville company. These extra fees weren’t communicated prior to receiving my bill.

My 20 yr old boiler finally bit the dust on Friday afternoon. After much searching, Jim found one in Tacoma that would fit my situation and had it sent to Spokane via expedited shipping. In the meantime he brought me two space heaters for the weekend. On Monday, as his wife was picking up the new boiler, he began dismantling and removing the old one. The new boiler arrived around 3:00 and he began the connection process in earnest. After Tristan finished his workday he came and climbed up on the roof to connect the new vents as the snow began to fall. Together, they had it up and running by 6:00 just ahead of the night's storm. I am grateful not only for their skill and proficiency but for their caring, good-natured personalities.

We had Jim come out to give us a quote on a new minisplit system on July 20th. I still had not heard back with an estimate after a month. I had called the office and left 2 voice messages- no one ever called me back. I called again and the guy I talked to said that Jim had done 3 estimates in my area and thus far none had received an estimate. It is October and I have still not received a call or an estimate. We went with Quartzite instead. Quartzite is on the ball and handles their customers like a company should. We are getting our minisplits installed October 9th from a top-notch co-Quartzite. We couldn't be happier, glad we picked the better company to do our minisplits.

This company is great. I dont know for sure but I think it's family run and they have been great to us. It's hard enough in Valley, WA to get someone to come out here but these guys not only have helped multiple times but they have been great every time. I would love to know who my tech was, if they are an owner and if not just know he's great every time and acts with the professionalism you would expect of an owner

Systech Mechanical was recommended by a friend. My furnace went bad and they installed a new one. They were prompt, professional, good pricing. Tristin and Josh arrived on time and completed in a timely manner. Tristin was professional, took time to explain what he was doing and showed me how to work the new thermostat. I highly recommend them.

After being recommended by neighbors, I had SysTech Mechanical install a mini split heating/cooling system in my home. Jim performed a thorough inspection of my home and recommended the proper equipment to meet my needs at a reasonable price. His crew was outstanding (Hunter, Even and Noah). They arrived on schedule and hit the ground running. They were professional, polite and really knew their stuff, finishing installation in one day. The following day, after electrical hook up was completed, Tristan fired up and turned on the system and it has been working perfectly. I had a few more questions and Jim called me back the very next day and answered them.
Like my neighbors, I highly recommend SysTech Mechanical.

Jim and his service techs are knowledgeable, they respond quickly to any issues that arise, even when they weren’t the original installers. They put a lot of effort into diagnostics and correcting any issues they find. I highly recommend this HVAC company.

I've used Systech Mechanical for years. They have installed propane, and a pool heater at my private residence, and they also handle all maintenance and emergency repairs of my HVAC unit at my office in town.

I was in a bad situation with a water line that had broken on my property and Jim (the owner) happened to be at my house working on a propane installation bid. Without any hesitation he helped me to dig up the water line, by hand, and stop the leak so that my family would not be without water for the weekend until Fogle could get out and do a permanent fix. This took several hours to accomplish. He asked for no payment, and even left his expensive tool that was being used to plug the leak. This was my first encounter with Jim. He did not know me from Adam and yet still went out of his way to help.

Since this experience Systech has been my go to company for anything in their wheelhouse. They do all of the maintenance on my HVAC unit for my law office. They are also very reliable in emergency situations. They just came this morning within an hour of calling them to fix my HVAC so that we could stay open. (It was 48 degrees ion my office) It has been fixed and we remain open for business.

I highly recommend this business!

It’s good when people do what they say they’re going to do, especially in business when you’re depending upon someone for a service. That’s our experience with Systech Mechanical in Chewelah. Jim and Tammy, together with a team they’ve curated and trained, do just that. Jim went above and beyond in helping us trouble-shoot a heating/cooling system we were having problems with. He was accommodating, patient and thorough trying to help us figure out the problem. Fast forward a year and it was determined a new system would have to be installed. They continued to do what they said they’d do. Workers show up prepared to work, are thoughtful and respectful of our home as the work is being done, are pleasant and professional. Truly a great experience. Hunter, as team leader, knew every aspect of the project and kept things running smoothly. It’s encouraging to see young professionals who know their stuff go confidently from start to finish. It gives us peace of mind that the job has been done right. We enthusiastically recommend Systech Mechanical for the job. They are a real asset to this community.

I have used Systech to repair my Ductless mini-split that I installed. I have also had many dealings with him professionally through all the years he has been in Chewelah. I can confirm that He and his team are professional in every way. the couple times that clients of mine have had warranty issues with any of their work, Systech has been prompt in dealing with the issues as well as apologizing. I find it refreshing to work with a company that takes pride in their work and also takes responsibility for their actions. A trait that is getting rarer by the day, it seems.

Jim and his crew were fabulous. We had a new construction project and we wanted a geothermal HVAC system. I could not afford a turn key system but I was willing to work and learn. Jim was so helpful in laying me out, allowing me access to his tools and facilities. He made our dream HVAC system fiscally viable. Jim is honest and trustworthy and I would have zero hesitations recommending him for any project. Rebecca was also wonderful, she was always prompt with material orders and willing to help with all the small details that can derail a projects timeline. Jim cares about the community that he serves in. I am a high school educator and he volunteered a half day to come speak at our career fair. Business' come and business go but the quality work and professionalism never go out of style! A+++ to Systech Mechanical.

Our heater was having trouble for quite some time. Winter is coming… well they were quick to figure out the problem, get the part, and install it. Heat is working great and it all went smoothly. Would deal with them again, Great job! (This listing seems to have old address/ outdated info. There's a more current listing for them on Google)

Service questions

It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.

2. How long does roof replacement take?
+-

The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
