Storm Guard Roofing & Construction of the Piedmont Triad

Stormgaurd was recommended by a good friend of mine. They had done a difficult job on time and on budget and was clearly impressed. I had difficult job too, old metal roof no sheathing and two homemade tar and flashing cracked leaking skylights. So, I call Stormgaurd. John Brazel came out climbed up on those roof lines and said: “We can do it”and they did. Under tough logistical circumstance and my own personal family tragedy they worked with me in all aspects of the job. The crew courteous and on time finished and cleaned every last speck of work debris. Thanks Stormguard and to John Brazel I now have that beautiful and dry light. My personal heartfelt thanks.

Update: I’m updating my review to 3 stars. I got a phone call from the owner (Jeff) asking to swing by my place. He was very friendly and incredibly receptive to feedback about our experience. He gave me some context about our project and why there were some delays but took ownership on their lack of transparency and communication. Overall, I think with Jeff running this company, most people will have a great experience (as is demonstrated with the overwhelmingly positive reviews) and our situation seems to be a sort of “one-off.” The fact that Jeff had driven almost an hour to come take a look at things and have a conversation really speaks volumes to how he runs the business and he has my utmost respect. I hope they’re able to learn from our experience to make sure this doesn’t happen twice.

I’m not typically one to leave reviews on companies, but working with this company has been a joke. My primary point of contact has been Jeremy. The project itself is fairly small, removing and resizing a cabinet and running electrical to the created gap for a dishwasher. The plumbing was taken care of over a month ago by myself. When going over the details, I was ensured that it would be something they could handle, and that I would possibly need to make runs to Lowe’s for various materials. I let him know we’d be using part of our tax return to pay for this project. He told me once we’ve gotten it to send him a text. Everything with the initial conversation had us hopeful and seemed to all be good. Fast forward about a week, I texted Jeremy letting him know we were good to go. He hit me back letting me know he would check the schedule and that they are three weeks out. Fast forward a couple of days I reached back out asking if he was able to find a day. He said he hasn’t gotten a day set yet but that he would pencil us in in a few weeks. Fast forward another three weeks and I reached back out to confirm if he had the date yet. He let me know that he should have some guys freed up and that either Thursday or Friday would work. Still not an exact date but I was still hopeful. Come Thursday, no one showed up and no word from Jeremy, so I assumed it would be Friday. I reached out just to check and he let me know that Israel would be here. Jeremy texted me Friday morning letting me know Israel had called out and that we had to reschedule for Monday. Understandable, things happen, sucks that it had to be that day but I wasn’t too upset by it and thanked him for letting me know. Come Monday morning (the day I’m writing this) and no Israel. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and waited until 10:20 to text Jeremy. I asked Jeremy if we should be expecting him and he told me he’d find out. An hour and a bit later still no word from Jeremy so I reached out to confirm if we should be expecting them. He told me, “We are not coming Bryson I will let you know if we can get to your project.” I asked if he knew when that would be and he told me “I'm not sure how or if we're going to be able to move forward at this point until we figure out Israel.” That was the straw that broke the camel’s back. I told him to take us off the schedule and that we’d be working with someone else. I understand if our little project isn’t a priority, but the fact that we are now being told they don’t know if they’ll ever be able to do it after being strung along for so long is insulting, and has been a huge waste of time and stress. Not once was there an apology given with the rescheduling of things, and the complete lack of communication is astounding, especially where I was planning to take the day off to be able to make the runs to Lowe’s. I was the one reaching out TRYING to get information about when this would be happening and got generic, lackluster responses. Not once did Jeremy reach out to me, except to tell me Israel wouldn’t make it on that Friday. I’ve included screenshots to show how lacking the responses have been. If you’re planning on using this company, hopefully you have a better experience with scheduling than we have.

Really do not know what’s going on with this location here we tried calling them for hours and hours one day trying to get them to come out and look at a job so we finally we gave up and just looked around elsewhere. Don’t understand how a company can be in business and not answer their phones

To Heather, Kiersten, Ricky Vargas and his fantastic team, thank you much for a job very well done!!!! Using the extra shingles, left over from the skylight replacement, to recover the roof on our doghouse well cover was one class act above and beyond the call of duty. Would highly recommend this company without hesitation!

The representative, John B. Came out to assess the problem within 2 days of my initial call. John was extremely informative and helpful. He genuinely cared about my issue and took the time to answer my questions and make sure I was well informed. My problem was fixed in a timely manner. I will definitely call them should I need further assistance. Excellent work ethic. Highly recommend.

Job kept getting delayed to begin with. And now not even 6 months since being done the ceiling in the garage is already coming down. And have been trying to get someone out here for the past month to fix this! Somebody was supposed to be here 2 weeks ago at 8/9am guess they got lost in our big town of kernersville!

I had someone come by to do some roofing work but he didn't complete the job,So I contacted the own and he got right on it..I do recommend this company..Great work.

Jeff was honest, upfront and did not try to charge me for the appointment to determine why I had a leak. Since he made the quick repair, I have no longer had any issues/leaks. After a miscommunication about the time was solved, the team showed up and completed the task as promised. They made sure to send pictures showing the completed job. Nicole was thorough and made sure to keep in touch and keep me in the loop. I strongly recommend this team.

Had someone come out to give us an estimate on siding and a window. Josh came out and said he would have it ready . One week .. texted him .. said next day.. I said okay. Two months later and at least 15 email and text … NO ESTIMATE and NO REPLY!! So rude and waist of my time

Just had our roof replaced by Storm Guard due to hail damage. The entire process was easy and seamless and we were kept aware at all aspects including insurance by Kiersten , our customer service contact. She was exceptional and very professional. The team that did the roof was amazing. The supervisor contacted us when work began(we were out of town) and advised that they would thoroughly clear up when the project was done. They were true to their word. A clean up team made sure all stray nails were picked up and they even cleaned window sills were some roofing dirt had accumulated. Blew off our decks and driveways leaving them cleaner than when they started. Shout out to scott Johnson who made the initial contact with me regarding possible damage. He did the initial inspection and sent a detailed report for the insurance company. I highly recommend the storm guard team

I was having trouble with my gutters pulling away from facing and getting filled with leaves. Storm Guard realigned my gutters and installed leaf guards. We They did great work and completed the work quickly.

Contacted several companies to look at the roof. First they gave a fair price and very professional . They have a great crew that worked none stop to get the old roof off and the new roof on.
They worked closing with my insurance company on certain questions. Had one problem around the chimney that they quickly fixed. WD

I had storm guard (Jake Taylor was the guys name) come out and give me an estimate, they were so respectful, didn’t hit me over the head with pricing & was very professional during the whole process. They came out and did the jobs and I was even more impressed by the work that they did! Made sure all of my questions were answered and any problem I had, was fixed! I will always go to storm guard any other Time I need them.

This business is hands down the most professional and best roofing company in the triad. Jake came and gave us an estimate and honesty he is the reason why we went with the job. He is a great salesman and really know what he is talking about. I had over 10 estimates done and not only did they have some of the best prices but they were on time, got to me the next day and you can definitely tell they knew what they were doing! They finished my roof today and not only was it good quality work, but they did extra for me free of charge. I’m getting another estimate from them to do some Sheetrock work inside my house and to redo my aging vinyl siding on my house.

From start to finish these guys were amazing. From the front office(Brooks and Jeff), to the crew that came out. I HIGHLY recommend them! Jeff was awesome! I had roof damage due to a storm. The insurance company was not being honest. I contacted the DOI and Jeff assisted with over 50 pictures of my roof. With Jeff assistance, I was able to have my roof REPLACED on a home that was built in 2015. Jeff is an honest individual and will provide a true inspection of your asset/roof. Justin was very professional throughout the process. He was never pushy. He did a thorough drone inspection of the roof and guided us on working with our insurance company to make a claim for storm damage. Maciej came to our house and met with the insurance adjuster during the inspection. He explained a lot about roofing to us, and he was helpful in talking with the adjuster. Both Justin and Maciej were very professional and helpful throughout. I would recommend working with them!

Storm Guard was great to work with throughout the entire process. Justin originally inspected our roof, and presented us with great shingle options for the roof. Once we decided, the process was so seamless and headache free.

The install crew came and was in and out so quickly. They were respectful of the property, and Justin even personally followed up with us to make sure every nail, and shingle was off the ground before signing off on it. It’s a rare occurrence these days to have such a seamless process, especially with home repairs, great job Storm Guard.

The general manager, Jeff Trinh, made himself available to help me throughout the process and kindly worked directly with my insurance company to minimize my stress and to try to minimize my cost. Jeff also took a lot of time explaining certain aspects of my roof that were unusual, and stuck with me throughout the process. He was even able to offer me an upgrade on my shingles, at no cost to me. Storm Guard and Jeff Trinh are the way to go whether you need roofing repair or full replacement!
