In 2010 we had Star Roofing replace our roof and they did a great job for a reasonable price. They also replaced our 3 skylights with new opening ones for a great price.14 years later we noticed that the roof was sagging by one of the skylights. Thinking it was a water intrusion I called Star Roofing as they have a great warranty. After some discussion with Chris, he sent Nick out to check on it. Nick sent some pictures back to Chris and he noticed the sagging roof bays were above our brick chimney. He thought it might be caused by no lower roof vents due to the chimney being there. He sent Nick out to remove the roofing on the effected area and sure enough there was no water intrusion and indeed caused by the lack of venting from the homes original construction. There was some damage to the top of 2 roof joists so Nick went and got material to repair them. He had everything repaired and the section re-roofed in one day!! Even with the fact that it was not their fault, they didn't charge me a thing. I don't write many reviews, but when I get such great service I have to let others know. I would definitely recommend Star Roofing not only for a new roof, but for roof repair also. Thanks Star, Chris, and Nick, J.T and Connie Adams.

I work for a condominium complex and used Star roofing for replacing two of our multiplex buildings this year and two last year .I have nothing but good things to say. The company was prompt at getting us on their schedule, The roofers were fantastic, they cleaned up all the debris when they were finished and answered all my questions along with keeping me updated on the progress. I have also used Star roofing for cleaning out gutters and clogged downspouts. They are quick to respond and very friendly. I would highly recommend Star Roofing for all your roofing needs. Big or small.

I called Star Roofing to repair a commercial TPU roof they built 15 years ago (not under warranty). They spent a few hours attempting a fix, but ghosted me when it was still leaking a few days later. Had to hire another company to finish the job. They just caulked it, rather than a patch / weld which is appropriate for this material. Wasted a lot of my time. The best thing I can say about them is that they reduced the volume of the leak until I could find some better help.

I had my torch down flat roof replaced with a membrane and pitch package (flat roof) about 7 years ago by Star Roofing. A pretty significant warranty issue was found by me and the owner (an old crew chief made an error). He fixed it in full and any subsequent small issues have always been addressed -- today on short notice a potential leak caused by a blockage in a scrupper was addressed. His current team I have worked with over time is great. I highly recommend them as they stand behind their work. When I have need skylights replaced, the process has always been smooth.

Had a new roof put on. So far so good. Had nee gutters installed at the same time. I boiced my concern about the facia needing teplaced to attach the gutters too., they said they were ok. Now have sagging gutters that overflow in low spots due to not being secured properly. We now have two phone calls into them with no response for close to two months now. They are still under warranty . Would at least expect response. Bad business practice. Will not recomend them.

For all those 5 star reviews in here, I'm guessing you were not asking for a roof repair under warranty. If your roof leaks, and it is under their warranty, this is what you can expect to occur... you will call and they will be super responsive and send Nick right out. He will look at it and take pictures, tell you he will call back to get you on the schedule. He won't. You will call every third day, not to be too pesky. The secretary will be really friendly and promise to have either Nick or Chris call you. They won't. You will finally call early enough to catch Chris in the office. He will say he knows nothing about it and that he can't get ahold of Nick to find out what his assessment was. He will tell you he will send out roofers on Monday to start the process over. You will take the day off work, because your roof is leaking... but, they will not show up. You will call and talk to a very nice secretary again, who promises that Chris will call you before 7pm. He won't. Then what will you do? Report to the BBB? Hire an attorney? Pay for an attorney? Give up and pay another company to do it? What would you do then? So, before using this company, consider... what will you do when they don't honor their warranty?

Horrible employees, very rude and disrespectful while roofing at the Mill. They park in the undercover spots that we pay to use even though there are more then enough non paid spots to park in, they blocked an entire entry way with a pallet and roped off and coned the only handicap parking spot for the building making it impossible for anyone who can't walk or has walking issues to come over.

I have complained to our leasing office, the Washington state attorneys office, mill Creek police HUD and human rights for ADA violations.

Hello, .I have tried to reach you for an estimate on a new roof at least 3 times now. The only reason I keep trying is that your company did 2 of my neighbors roof and they were happy. I called another number, and mailbox was full. If you want the business, pls get in touch with me. This is my last attempt. Your office has my number. Thanks

2/16/17 - I attempted to use Star Roofing and gave them a call - we talked and i emailed them the details of the roof repair/ I expected to hear back and didn't - a littler irked because the girl who answered the phone said she would get it to the right person. - Nothing happened so i called back on 2/27 and had the same conversation - i also verified while on the phone that she received my email - didn't hear back just like before - called again on 3/14 as i need to get the roof fixed for my tenant and let her know that this is the 3rd time. She apologized and said she would get back to me that day - which was 3/14/17 - it is now 3/23/17 and i am going to give up on Star Roofing.

Service questions
1. Should I stay home during roof replacement?

It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.

2. How long does roof replacement take?
+-

The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
