Our AC went out over the weekend and with a pregnant wife at home, I was nervous that we were in for a rough weekend. I got in touch with the on call tech (Kai) and he got us back up in running in no time. Kai was very good at communicating with us, he was very professional, and super hard working. I would recommend Standard to anyone!

I have used Standard for services TWICE this month and both times were excellent. I had a burst pipe with water pouring into my basement and someone was immediately sent over and the pipe was replaced within a hour! Second time my AC went out and someone was immediately sent over and had it up and running in under 30 minutes! I likely got REALLY lucky with someone being immediately available and having easy fixes, but I’m very happy with the service I’ve received! The gal who schedules is also so nice and funny! 5 stars all around.

The service and professionalism at Standard Plumbing is outstanding. Jeremy and Justin were great technicians. Very knowledgeable and so nice. This company is honest and straightforward. They don’t try to sell you products or services you don’t need. Highly recommend.

I called today for a freezing drain pipe and garbage disposal that was creating a leak/mess. The woman who answered the phone was so helpful and friendly! She talked me through fixing the problem! I am very thankful!

Staff are all very friendly, technicians are knowledgeable and responsive. Had a small issue with the heater and the tech team came by next day and fixed it right away. John and Rene have been wonderful to work with.

This is the 3rd time using Standard Plumbing for services from bathroom remodeling, AC and has been a great turnout and has exceeded our expectations and at the right price.

My experience with standard has been overall subpar over the past year. I purchased their membership services when I bought my home in 2023. This was to give me on call service, discounts on services, etc. Listed on their website. Serviced A/C as normal. Had some plumbing issues with my bathtub in December, but I was told they don't have any availability until January when they get their new system going. I was told I was put on a list & that I'd get a call back when I could be scheduled. Never got that call. February rolls around. Hot water is out. Tried calling them. Need to call another number for after-hours emergency. Called that number. No answer. Called twice before 10pm. Called office next day during business hours. Shockingly, there was no answer. I called a competitor to replace the water heater and plumbing to the bathtub. They were there the same day & did fantastic work. March rolls around. I decided to take them up on the heater service since I already paid for that in the membership services. The technician came out & was very nice. Explained to me that my heater has too many issues and that he is going to condemn it. I understood why with a heat exchanger cracked and putting out way too much carbon monoxide. Temps were to be below freezing, and I have a 2 year old mind you...I called the office and asked about replacing the unit and what the next steps would be. Was told that the owner would contact me with an estimate. It's now been 6 days with absolutely nothing from the company. Yet again, I've had to try and get the competitors to replace my unit. I do not understand how a company can condemn my heater, then leave me and my family with zero options or communication. I thought hvac companies made most of their money selling and replacing hvac units. I would think this would be a top priority. Very disappointed in that. The technician was very nice, but the ball has been dropped time and time again. I don't think I will be using their services in the future. I had a lot of faith in the company from the start and loved the reviews. Idk how this all happened.

Jim our technician did a great job on our duct cleaning; was very careful of our floors/carpet and told us what the process was.

Justin came on MLK Day in -10 degree weather. He spent an hour trouble shooting our heater, found the problem, took the blower to the shop and soldered the blown transistor himself. He got the unit up and running, we can't recommend Standard highly enough!

I called Standard for a complete HVAC renewal. I got estimates from three companies. I went with Standard for the best price for the best equipment brand and because they are a 100 year old company. Two very professional, and proficient technicians came to our house over one and a half days and did a wonderful job removing our old HVAC system and replaced it with a high efficient system. I feel like I got the best equipment for my money and got the best experience with installation. Outstanding company.

I Spoke to renee the owner. She was very unprofessional in dealing with her customer. I spoke to her politely but her response is extremely rude. I believed that if you ran a business you need to take good care of your customer by showing good behavior, professionalism and exceptional service. Overall, they provide poor service and extremely unprofessional.. thank you and have a nice day ahead!!!

Standard Plumbing installed a new HVAC and a new water softener this past week. They were extremely professional and completed the job with extreme care for our home and they kept us informed of the entire process. I would highly recommend them for all of your household needs!!!

We remodeled our bathroom in an old house. The two guys who came worked well together, cleaned up after themselves, and accomplished a lot of work quickly! Saved our attic from rain during the project, reattached some subfloor ductwork to the vent for us, affordable. We highly recommend. Will hire again when/ if needed!

My A/C stopped working during this extreme heat we've been having, they sent someone over within an hour. So grateful for their quick and efficient service!

Have used Standard Plumbing for years. Any problems we have, they have responded quickly. Renee and office staff have been superb.

Air conditioner went out last night. Called at 9AM as soon as they opened. By 12:30pm they had someone out to help us. By 1:15 pm we had cold air back blowing again. Great service and the technician also explained everything that was going on and gave some basic AC cleaning/upkeep tips to help prevent future issues. Really impressive and quick work during a miserable week of heat.

Thank you for the quick after hour’s emergency service! I called at 10pm cause we couldn’t get the water main turned off and our house was flooding. The technician who answered was super friendly, professional and walked me through trying to address on the phone. I couldn’t resolve it so he was at our house less than 10 minutes later and fixed it. You all even called today to check in on us. You all are wonderful!

Had a cooling and heating system installed today. This company is outstanding from Renee who was my initial contact to John who gave me quotes. This company provides great service! My 92 year old mother's furnace stopped working on a -7° f day, and they immediately sent a technician to repair it. I'm very happy with their service.

Jeff came out to replace the compressor in one of our units today and, as always, his service was what we have come to expect from Standard Plumbing. He was knowledgeable, professional, and courteous. Working with technicians like Jeff is always a pleasure. We have been Standard customers for over 25 years and have never been disappointed in the service they offer.

I waited a week for a technician to come see to my AC and they show up an hour and a half early, dont call, dont announce themselves and leave. Then when I call to see why I have an email congratulating me on how good a job they did, I get a snotty lady telling me I have the privilege of waiting another two weeks because " we're really busy right now". Yeah, I am sure you are, what with your tight schedule of appointments to miss.

Absolute lifesavers. This company should be your first call! The gentleman that helped me was awesome!!! And Renae (spelling?) is literally the most joyful person to speak with for scheduling ever. Thank you immensely.

They are very nice people to work with. The price was great. They were on time and did a great job. I won't call anybody but them. I don't typically write reviews, but on two separate occasions now, I have had a poor experience with Standard. Once with my AC unit and once with my kitchen faucet. I am not familiar with plumbing, so when I contact a plumbing company to fix an issue, I expect just that. Similar to other reviews I have read, Standard came out and seemed unempathetic to my situation (no AC the first time and no kitchen faucet with a leak the second time). On both occasions he did the bare minimum and suggested a bandaid fix without spending time to figure out the underlying issue. Both times I was charged for the initial visit and the shotty repair, then had to pay someone come back out when the issue persisted to get it fixed correctly. Sure, I called and complained after the first time, but apparently I did not learn my lesson because it happened the exact same way the second time. I strongly recommend looking at other plumbing companies before making the decision to use Standard, or have your ducks in a row to ensure you are rendered the appropriate services without unnecessary trips and multiple charges (which I personally think is a ploy created to generate additional work and revenue).

About a month ago I set up to get an estimate to install a drain pipe for a washer in my basement. They guy came out and said there was nothing they could do for the way it's set up. Drains to high. Today I get a bill for $65. I was never informed of any charges, nor did I agree to any charges for the estimate. In addition your site, and where I filled out the form to get an estimate says "FREE ESTIMATE". My mother always used standard plumbing and since she knew what she was doing in most things, I figured I'd be keeping up that tradition. Despite not being anything you could do for a basement laundry drain, I have a lot of other work that will need to be done in this old house. Ducts need cleaned, Outdoor faucet needs installed. The heating and A/C are old and are going to need some serious maintenance or replacement in the next couple of years. I will not be using standard plumbing after all.

First class job every time! If you’re looking for someone reliable, who does what they say they will do *every *time, whether it’s plumbing or HVAC, then look nowhere else. Top tier service!

I called and spoke with Standard and they were out the same day. I had no heat and it was -7 degrees out. He had me up and running within the hour. I am very impressed with their service. He explained everything as he was working on the unit. I will definitely use them when replacing my 30 yr old heating system.

We were extremely disappointed with their service. They charged us to “fix” our AC. We were told that it had a coolant “leak”. The guy was here 10 min, added coolant and then left. We were charged over $200 to “repair” the problem. When we had no AC less than 48 hours later and called Standard we were told by Renee that they were “too busy” to actually fix the leak on the initial service day. She advised us that we could pay another $200+ to add more coolant. Or we “could go down the street to the local thrift shop and buy a window air conditioner.” I have NEVER had someone that has treated customers so rudely or unprofessionally. —Mary Leos

I cannot say enough about Standard! Our air conditioner went out in the middle of July and they were very professional and prompt with their service. They came out and did a free estimate, ordered the parts, and had a new unit installed all within 3 days time. Everything from their customer service to their timeliness was flawless. We are Standard customers for life!

I converted my electric furnace to gas. James came out and gave me an estimate and explained the process in detail. The work was done quickly and efficiently. They coordinated with Kansas gas and everything went according to schedule. Rene and the rest of the office personnel were professionall and easy to work with. I highly recommend them for any HVAC and plumbing projects. Thank you Standard for all your hard work and professionalism.

I had my first new-homeowner plumbing issue and was referred to Standard Plumbing. They were able to very quickly send someone over who correctly diagnosed the issue (tree-root clogged sewer line) and got the job done very professionally and neatly! I was extremely happy with the level of service and completely understand why they were referred to me in the first place.

They came out to fix my sink and while doing that heard my heater make a weird noise. The guy checked it out and realized my heater fan was super dirty from previous renters, he took it out and cleaned it after he finished fixing my sink. Glad even though he was there to fix a sink they still pay attention to other potential problems throughout the house. Very friendly and professional.

I recently had my furnace, air conditioner and water heater replaced. The entire process went very smooth. The staff is skilled and answered all my questions. Very quick turnaround on the project. I will use Standard again for my plumbing and HVAC needs.

All of the staff at Standard, from John who gave me my estimate for work performed to the technicians who did the work in a timely and efficient manner, made my experience worry free and pleasant. I’m very happy with the quality of the work and equipment installed and at a price that was thoroughly explained. I would recommend Standard Plumbing Heating and Air highly.

Called them out just to repair an outside faucet. Their repairman unplugged our sump pump and didn't plug it back in when he left. A couple hours later, half our basement was under water. They sent a water mitigation company out the next day to dry things out but now refuse to return our calls about when they are going to return to repair the floors and walls that were damaged. And now they keep sending us bills, even after I gave a check to the original repairman!! Would never recommend them to anyone. Guess we will have to end up in court to make them fix their mistake.

We have now used Standard to repair plumbing issues and replace our heating and air conditioning. We could not be more pleased with the prompt and professional service we have received each time we have needed work done. The technicians are top notch and great to work with. The office staff are wonderful and work hard to get your service scheduled quickly. We have nothing but great things to say about Standard!

I must say I was actually excited to write this review. I had a horrible experience with a plumbing issue, and Chris came over & saved the day. One thing I really respected about Chris is he answered my questions completely, and made me feel like every question I had was a valuable question! That means so much! He explained everything he was doing to me, and was very knowledgeable, professional, and this is actually the first time a plumber has ever left my house and I actually understood the details of the problem that occurred, and what is being done to fix it!

Had a tech come by when my roommate and myself were not home due to my landlords required preventative maintenance schedule. I had just replaced the filter two days prior to the tech showing up and when I arrived home the $12 filter I just bought was bent and destroyed because the tech was not patient with putting it in.

Also was not aware that the furnace was to be checked to ensure it ran (which it did/does) but the tech had entered my locked room (push key lock door) which has the thermostat w/o permission.

Callled and spoke to Barb and she said I’d receive a call from one of the owners about my filter but never did so I followed up. Spoke to John about the issue and he sent another tech out to replace the filter with a “better one” but did not apologize about the situation.

Tech came by and was visually upset about having to replace the filter and tried to reason through why the filter was bent up and left like it was without even telling me since the 3M filtrete filters are “a little larger than standard” even though both comply with ASI standards. He replace the filter, and still no one has apologized for the poor workmanship.

In conclusion: the service was performed, I had to call to mitigate an issue that should have never arose since the original tech should’ve notified me for entering a locked room and destroying my filter, and there was passive aggressive tension for getting the filter replaced that was broke by a Standard Plumbing Tech.

Would I choose to do service with them again? No.

But my landlord company apparently has a contract with them so they’ll probably be continuing work. I guess next time I’ll be sure to stay in the unit to make sure everything goes smoothly.

2/5 for getting the new filter but that’s about it.

James worked with us and got us exactly what we needed and quickly. Replaced my old heating, A/C system & water heater and did the job very quickly and professionally. He went above and beyond. I can't recommend Standard Plumbing enough! I will continue to use them in the future.

Chris P. was prompt, courteous and professional while doing the annual check up on my furnace. He explained everything he did and everything that was on the bill. He even had his own boot covers for my white carpet! I've been using Standard Plumbing for the last year and they also did a great job on my air conditioner check up-they even cleaned out the years of accumulated leaves and dirt. I always recommend them when asked.

When I have heating or air conditioning issues, I will always ask for Dalton M. He came to check my furnace for upcoming use. He was knowledgeable, thorough, competent & hard working. While he was checking my furnace, he noticed I had a humidifier.
Dalton M. made sure the humidifier worked before he left and even showed me how it worked and told me what I needed to do in summer.
Before Dalton left, he discussed my furnace/air conditioner and explained what he did to make it better and addressed the issue I had with the sound I heard. If you call Standard Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning, ask for DALTON M. !!!!!
