S.R. Chimney & Fireplace

Recently had them do some repair work on the chimney of our 120 plus year old house. It looks much better than we expected it to and the price was more affordable than what others had quoted us. They were courteous and flexible on scheduling as well. I would recommend them and if we have any future needs in this area of expertise, we will definitely call them again!

We had Shane come out to Dover and evaluate our chimneys on our house. It’s an older house built in 1911 and we had them put in a stove insert and liner and they also sealed our bricks, installed rain caps and they did d a fantastic job. We’re very happy with the work they did. Great communication with us about the process and everything. Our chimney is ready to go for many more years! Highly recommended. Will be calling them back for some foundation work on our back porch.

We got hail about a month ago and because our roof was totaled, we assumed our chimney cap was damaged as well. So we called SR Chimney, who BTW picked up the phone when we called, and we scheduled a time for them to come out. Since they were coming out, we asked them to give our chimney a good cleaning, which hadn’t been done in a couple of years. To our surprise, the chimney cap wasn’t damaged, the flue was still clean and there was no charge for them coming out and taking a look. WOW! That reminds me of businesses used to operate. I had a critter stuck up at the top of my chimney, and it was making a horrible noise and these guys got out here first thing before the rest of their day !! quite the rescue!! Thank you so much! they had to go to third floor Victorian mansion and sorted it all out, cleaned up all the dust on the lower level. I can’t say enough good things about these guys super friendly, hard-working in and out quick and affordable.

SAVED ME 10 Grand!!! I contacted SR Chimney for help with a fireplace that was out if code when we purchased our house. The first quote was north of 15 grand! Shane at SR Chimney arrived and inspected the fireplace and chimney. Then confirmed it was out of code and gave me several options on how to bring it up to code and make it usable, efficient and not break the bank! We chose to do a stove insert and sleeve. This option no only looks great but was also saved me 10,000 dollars!

Shane helped us with a roof leak by sealing and patching our chimney area and sealing seam leaks in our dormers. He was successful, and provides friendly, professional services at very reasonable cost. I highly recommend him.

SR Chimney Sweep converted my fireplace from gas back to wood burning. Before we scheduled the work, Shane came out to the house to look at the chimney and assess whether it could be converted. He gave me a reasonable estimate and explained all that needed to be done. He returned to complete the project on the date we agreed and performed all the work required at the estimated price. He was thorough, careful and professional. In fact, he went above and beyond. Shane and his assistant did excellent work. I highly recommend him and the company for any chimney work. I will certainly call him again, too.

SR Chimney did a great job. They replace my fireplace insert with a new one . Put in new piping for the chimney. Sealed up my outside brickwork and fix the inside brickwork. Cleaned up everything. They will be back every year for my checkups. Reasonable prices.

I just bought a home that had a wood burning stove and fireplace in the basement. I had no idea of the condition it was in or even the last time it was used. I called and Shane was there the next day! I was even late and he waited for me to get there! He was so helpful and very honest in his inspection! None of it was good news for me and he did not charge me for the cleaning he was unable to do (that was the best price I found anyways). I was so completely impressed with this company I only wish I had more business with him!

Despite being nearly 20 years old, our chimney had never been used. I wanted someone to inspect it to make sure everything was in working order before we began using it. They were quite booked, but well worth the wait! They're very knowledgeable and were able to answer all of my questions. He informed me of the best types of wood, proper use and maintenance to keep my tile in excellent condition and avoid cracking. He even informed me how to keep the most value for the home if we eventually sell. I will definitely be using them in the future and would 100% recommend them to others in need.

The owner, Shane, was quick to respond to our inquiry for a bid on work. My husband and I knew we needed a new chimney cap on our fireplace and tuck pointing done on our utility chimney. Shane was competitive in his pricing. He was very thorough. From the tuck pointing, to the flashing and weather sealing, all his work turned out great! He demonstrated patience when he encountered a delay, since we discovered a nest of baby squirrels in the chimney. One would not leave and could not be reached. After all the baby squirrels left I contacted him and he came over quickly and completed the work. We had two roofers out after he completed his work, to inspect for hail damage after storms can through, and both roofing companies complimented his work. SR Chimney has our future business.

Came out today and check my fireplace, made sure it was safe to covert back to wood burning, converted it to wood burning and educated me on the type we have ( since we just bought the house this spring) so we can take care of it and burn the right wood. My toddler even was running around trying to help and he didn’t mind. The guy was so nice. They quoted me a price over the phone and stuck to it. Amazing price, above and beyond customer service. They will be the only people that I will go with as long as we have a fireplace

I needed my fireplace cleaned because we were getting a bad smell in the house. My wife called these guys and they did a great job. He also inspected the fireplace and let us know what needed to be fixed to use it. Shane did a very thorough inspection, cleaning, and installed caps on both flues. We shopped around and found they were a better price than the competitors. There is no more smell, and we will definitely use these again in the future.
