I’m a senior who needed to adapt my old tub to a walk-in shower. I hired Chris, the owner of Spruce Mountain Contracting, after looking at bids from a variety of other contractors.
He was very responsive and approachable right from the beginning. Chris took the time to actually come to my home to see what needed to be done. He was very understanding about my need to stay on budget and took this in to consideration with his quote.
Chris is a good communicator who listened well to my concerns/wants and also made some good suggestions for things we could do to make my bathroom “stand out”.
Chris and Liam were working in a senior’s complex and were very considerate of noise and the need to keep the hallways and elevator clean on a daily basis. Liam always made sure to leave my “construction site” tidy as well.
The level of workmanship done by Liam was outstanding! I can’t say enough about it! The end result speaks for itself!

I hired Spruce Mountain to change my bathroom flooring and toilet and Chris and Liam did not disappoint. These guys went above and beyond to make sure everything looked great and was working properly. Building and installation of a gate.and fence

Chris from Spruce Mountain Contracting responded to us on the same day (Sunday) when we asked for a quote.

The next day he came by to look at our wishes and on Tuesday we had the quote.

On Thursday Chris and Liam started the work by placing the posts an on Friday Liam finished building and placing the gate.

Liam is a very hard worker, precise and does an excellent job. The gate is exactly what we asked for.

I hired Spruce Mountain for a small job, repairing and replacing damaged baseboards and drywall as well as painting. They were priced competitively, fit us into their schedule within days and Liam was a really nice fella who my elderly uncle felt secure and safe with in his home. Not every job goes according to plan every time. This job was certainly one of those. There were some unforeseen circumstances completely out of Chris' control. Unfortunately as I am the homeowner, I was also now in a spot where I was worried how things would turn out. In business, I believe its how you handle the things that don't go right. Chris not only went out of his way to make things right but really showed my wife and I how much his reputation means to him and how much integrity he has as a person and as a business owner. Not only will we use Spruce Mountain again, I have recommended Chris to all my friends and neighbors.

My kitchen countertops were crumbling and getting moldy. I provided a budgeted amount and Spruce Mountain Contracting was able to do more than I expected. Renovating a 30-year-old bathroom with crooked walls isn't easy, but Spruce Mountain got it done. The bathroom looks great, and it is much more functional. As our design taste was also 30 years outdated, the company lent their expertise into colour and style. We couldn't be more happy. Professional, friendly, willing to minimize our inconvenience would best describe their attitude.
