Customer feedback is mixed regarding the services provided by this roofing company. These negative reviews noted issues with unresponsive staff and a lack of follow-through on promised quotes. Such serious complaints about communication and service responsiveness overshadow the positive experiences shared by some customers.

Customers are fully satisfied

I would not recommend this company. I had Spencer Roofing put a brand new roof on. After a couple of months I could hear leaking. I went with this company because they had a five year workmanship warranty. I called them to ask them to please come out and take a look at the leak. They will not pick up the phone. They will block your number if you need them to come out to repair their work. There were also staples left all over my roof and in my driveway.

Called for a a repair of my roof. Guy came out, told me estimate, then said he'd send me a quote. Seemed like a good dependable guy and confirmed my email and said he'd go back to the office and send me a quote. Never returned the quote for me to sign, never returned my three calls/messages over the course of two weeks, and never emailed me the quote. Looked me straight in the eye and said he would. Said he'd give me a military discount as well. Must not have wanted my business or thought he could make more money on other projects. Terrible. I called Cascade Roofing, and they were there the same day, and had the work completed in three days from quote/inspection. Since my roof and attic were exposed, this was important to get finished before any hard rainfall. USE CASCADE ROOFING, don't use Spencer Roofing, lied right to my face and refused to answer my calls or send a quote.

I love my new roof! The crew was efficient, capable and did a super job. They cleaned up afterward and did the complete job of tear down and totally replacement in two days . I would highly recommend this company for any roofing needs.

Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.
Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.
When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.
Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
