I have found this location to be hit or miss. First, the good:
The store seems well-stocked with all of the typically needed options for plumbing, electrical, hardware, lumber, etc. however, if you need something a little more special, you'll probably be going elsewhere. Their selection of screws and construction lags is excellent. For basic needs, this will serve 90% of what you're looking for, and it's great to not have to drive to Wasilla for those things.
The bad:
Customer service can be dicey. There is a woman who works the counter who has been very obtuse about the name on my card being somewhat worn off. It's not my fault the card company opts for printing the information, rather than embossing it; nor is it my fault you guys don't have a chip reader. However, this woman treats me as if I'm trying something sneaky every time I use my card, threatening to not run the card because my name isn't fully legible.
The second encounter was with the special order desk. I needed a price quote on an LVL beam for a customer quote, which I thought would be simple. I sent an email of inquiry, and I received a single phone call in response, which I was unfortunately unable to take at the time. However, after multiple call-backs and follow-up emails, I was never able to make contact with the representative again, who also never returned my calls. I eventually called Builders Choice, who were able to give me a per-foot price on their LVL beams, which enabled me to finish my quote. Thankfully, I've had good experience with special orders and price quotes from the Wasilla location, which is a bit out of my way, but I'm willing to make the drive for better service.
