Brandon and his team were very helpful and professional from start to finish by being available to answer any questions we had with quick response times, they worked quickly with our insurance company, and delivered quality results. We highly recommend this company.

I would strongly caution anyone considering this company for roofing work. My experience was marked by high-pressure sales tactics and relentless follow-ups, even after I had clearly declined their services. It felt more like harassment than customer service.

Be especially careful with any contract that gives them permission to speak with your insurance provider. This appears to be a strategy to claim your entire insurance payout, hire low-cost labor, and pocket the difference. While this may be common in the contracting world, the quote I received for a basic roof replacement was astronomically high — and they still pushed for additional out-of-pocket costs for a "higher-tier" shingle. It felt like pure upselling with no added value.

They do not respond well to being told “no,” and I believe they aim to take advantage of homeowners who may not be familiar with the process. Do your homework and get multiple quotes. In my opinion, this company is not one I would trust with my home.

I want to first say that in every interaction I have had with this company, all representatives have generally been kind and respectful. I have felt like they have wanted to help me in any way they could. And I think the services they offer are right for a lot of people who have standard shingle roofs and feel intimidated about dealing with insurance.

It feels important to me to leave a review for the people out there who have non-standard roofs. I have a clay tile roof made with top-of-the line tile from Italy. I asked SmartHome to come take a look to see about wind damage, and they helped me open a claim. As so often happens these days, my claim was denied by insurance because they said the issues with our roof were from normal wear and tear. The life of this roof is 100 years and it's about 50 years old, so this is absolutely not normal wear and tear.

Given our unique situation, I wish I had not started with SmartHome because now my insurance company has a claim denial on record. If I had started with a public adjuster (which is free to me unless a claim is successful), I may have been in a better position to negotiate.

My biggest frustration was how the salesman handled a mistake he made in quoting my job. Mistakes happen, we are human. That is ok. But I felt condescended to and manipulated in the process. Initially, he quoted one number as "all in, total replacement". I gathered other quotes and came back a few months later to see if the quote was still good. We were past the shelf life of the estimate, so he needed to issue another one for "probably slightly more given materials have gone up". He forgot to include removal of the tile initially, so when I got the new estimate back it included removal. The total cost for the removal was about 17% of the total final bill...yet this addition doubled my overall costs. That math doesn't work. Then when I responded and said "No thanks we are going with a competitor," (who quoted 30% less) he had the nerve to explain to me how to read an estimate and check that the work was the same between the two estimates.

He kept trying to sell long after the deal was dead, and in the end I just felt manipulated. I wish them the best and I think they do great work for a lot of people. But it feels important to share this special circumstance for anyone in my situation.

I just had a new roof put on by SmartHome Roofing and could not be more satisfied by the excellent service I received. Cam Cash, a contractor for the company, could not have been any more attentive to my problems. He handled all insurance inquiries and was very professional. He stayed in touch with me throughout the whole process and made sure I was satisfied with all services. The team that put the roof on did a super job and left my property in tiptop shape. Everything was cleaned up and looked so nice. I would highly recommend this company to everyone.

Except for we’re upgrading to a more expensive roof which we will have to pay the difference . He is really nice to work with. He meets with your insurance people when they come out to look at your roof. He takes care of everything. Whenever Insurance calls us, we put them on hold and add Brandon to the call to handle the conversation when we get messages we forward them to Brandon to handle. It’s a beautiful thing, lol. We were very pleased with working with this company. Our neighbor had used them and gave me a point of contact. I called and was assisted by a friendly lady who answered my questions. Then Brandon Reid came to our home and walked us through the process of getting our roof repaired/replaced. He also assisted in getting our claim started. Once that was approved the process moved quickly and efficiently. Crew showed up when scheduled, finished job in 1 day, and were kind and respectful of our property.

I have had nothing but headaches since hiring Smarthome Roofing. The first thing that happened was they put on the wrong flashing for my HVAC furnace pipe. I could not even hook up my pipe to go from the furnace through the roof. Furthermore, I had no idea that my pipe was disconnected in the attic, which let out harmful fumes in my home. I then contacted Clay Mouser, and showed him shingels that were not laying down. They came out and replaced said shingels. When I came home upon further evaluation they face nailed through my shingels. I expressed to him it was very poor workmanship, and needed that fixed. I never got I am sorry one time. It's always we will handle it. I still have a lifted shingle that he is aware of. It would be different if when they came they actually fixed the issue. They have been out at least 5 times after they completed the roof, and I still have issues.

Our home received hail damage from a storm in May 2024. SmartHome was recommended to me by a coworker who had a good experience. After contacting SmartHome, Hank Mouser (the owner) met with me in my home and reviewed the settlement statement from the insurance company. Hank quickly discovered 3-4 issues with the settlement and then guided me through the process of appealing to the insurance company. All of Hank's recommendations were accepted and we were able to gain approval to replace our roof to its pre-storm state. Hank also thoroughly explained the entire process and materials with expert knowledge. His team had our roof replaced within a single day and it looks great. I cannot recommend SmartHome highly enough. The company is truly professional and seeks to build trusted relationships with its customers. If you need a new roof, do not hesitate to use SmartHome for the job.

When it came time to replace my roof, these installers are second to none. In less then ten hours, the old roof was stripped bare, forty-three squares of shingles, drip edge, vents and clean up.....job complete.
