Above and beyond. I had a fantastic experience with Slate Roof Repair. They recently completed a slate tile repair and gutter replacement on my home, and everything turned out perfectly. The team was professional, thorough, and clearly took pride in their work. They even went above and beyond by cleaning the gutters, removing vines, and helping me get down an old rain sensor. Chet was also super responsive and always available to answer my questions, which gave me a lot of peace of mind throughout the process. I’m really glad to have found a reliable, high-quality roofer in the area.

Crew showed up and were working by 8 am. We're done in 3 hours with the repair. I'll await a heavy rain or two to insure there are no more leaks.

The slate roof on our 1904 colonial had been neglected for about a decade and a half, so was in dire need of a tune-up. I had also never finished replacing the rotted soffits exploited over the years by squirrels and birds on all four sides. The company used a drone to examine the roof condition, and the resulting photos formed the basis of the quote.

Slate Roof Repair quoted the work necessary to address these lingering issues, and were willing to schedule the work around my availability. Despite this rainy spring and early summer, they arrived on the appointed day and replaced all the broken and missing slates and in the process sealed a gap in the roof flashing that was responsible for an elusive water leak into the attic near the chimney.

The workers are congenial, efficient and engaged in their work--seemingly happy while being focused on their tasks. The carpenter did an excellent job of replacing a completely rotted and chewed-through gable return in the space of five hours. I'd asked for a copper cap to be installed on the finished return, with some extras for those I was finishing up, and he fabricated a few beyond those I'd asked for. All debris was removed.

Overall, I'm very happy with the professionalism and industry of this crew, and will hire them again next time the roof needs massaging.

2-3 weeks later after quite a bit of rain, 4 roofers appeared to repair/change out broken slate tiles, seal the valleys, and clean gutters. It was amazing to see them work. Each roofer was grounded, kind, and focused on the work at hand.

Then the rains resumed and a puddle appeared. Upon communicating with Chet, he kindly sent out a smaller team to assess and address the issue and keep us dry as the next rains approach tomorrow night!

Awesome work! They came in 20 degree weather at 830a, worked intil 430p nonstop two days in a row; worked until the job was completed on the third day. I'm so pleased that I was able to save my slate roof (100 year life), instead of a new roof (30 years); this roof will be here after we are all gone!

Great experience repairing our 1891 property in Connecticut. Many slates, new gutters, snow guard, copper flashings, and copper hip roof caps. Will continue to use for on-going tune-ups/maintenance.

I have a large Tudor with an expansive slate roof and three considerable chimneys. In response to signs of water over the last few years in the interior walls and ceilings along the chimney stacks, I contracted with Slate Roof Repair LLC to restore the flashing around all chimneys and repair any problem slates. The job was paused during a two-day rainstorm, and I was disappointed to find leaks in two areas that had been upgraded.
A company representative showed up immediately to assess the situation and, when the precipitation stopped, the crew methodically and efficiently examined all potential causes and effected further repairs. Their determination was impressive. They even drenched the subject areas with a water hose from a lift to "double check."
I am confident that the extra effort was successful. Plus, they have given a satisfactory warranty, and it is clear to me that they keep their promises.
