What a terrific job. We've gotten so many compliments on our new updated porch. What a difference to curb appeal. Just so any one viewing this post, I don't want anyone to think the white support was forgotten to be finished. We are doing that and wasn't done before these pics were talking. His knowledge, skills and professional expertise were all amazing and most impressive. He replaced and repaired a door, surrounding wood framing and wall area that had rotted out from severe water damage. His perfectionistic approach, along with his numerous skills , provided a beautiful replacement and a high quality end result! From my experience, I can highly recommend Juan, not only as a skilled craftsman, but also as a reliable, trustworthy, conscientious, and pleasant human being.

In those crazy winds a few weeks ago, a portion of my wood fence blew down. I called multiple people and only got answering machines. Left several messages. I checked Nextdoor for recommendations and that's where I came upon Skagit Home Repairs that had 5 star reviews. Called and to my surprise, Juan answered the phone! He actually came out that very day and temporarily propped up the fallen panels of fencing when he heard I had a dog who wouldn't stay in the yard. Who does that?! We talked a while and I decided to have him replace the whole back section of fence which was rotted at the bottom and was eventually going to blow down. Juan gave me quotes on different options and I decided to put black vinyl coated chain link on that back section. When I eventually got a couple quotes from other people, Juan's pricing was right in line with and a bit lower than some of the others. He even gave me a senior discount and when the materials happened to be on sale the week he ordered, he lowered the price for me. I'd never have known the fencing was on sale, so that shows you the kind of person he is.

Juan and his wife came and in just 2 days the job was done efficiently and professionally. Juan and Hailey are very positive, hard-working, honest, caring people and I feel very blessed to have found them. They took down the old fence, hauled it away, and got the new fence up in 2 days. That included securing the existing wood fence that runs along both sides of the yard and cleaning up the fence line on the new fence which faces the alley behind my house.

Skagit Home Repairs does other things and I will most definitely be using them whenever I need something done. This includes roofing, siding, gutter cleaning, fence installation and repairs, painting and more. Thank you Juan and Hailey! You made it all so easy and the fact that you answer your phone is icing on the cake! :D

Juan, owner of Skagit Home Repairs answered the phone himself and was out to my house within a couple hours to check on a leaking downspout. I thought it was a faulty seam, but he found a clog, cleared it out and put the system back together, then ran water through it and no more leak. I had it checked a few weeks ago by another gutter cleaner, and was told there was no clog. Juan figured it out quickly and did great work in a timely fashion. He cleaned up the work area and I am very satisfied and highly recommend him to anyone looking for home repairs.

We employed Skagit Home Repairs, Juan Schultz, to repair a roof damaged by a falling tree, and to clean our gutters and do moss removal. Juan is excellent to deal with for home repairs. He explained the scope of the work he was going to perform and documented all of the repairs he did.
We feel Juan is honest and fair. He is a professional and skilled tradesman, who accomplished the repairs we wanted.

Juan did a spectacular job cleaning the moss off of our roof. He arrived early and stayed late to make sure the job was completed. He cleaned up everything. The roof looks amazing.

Juan came highly recommended to us by a friend who was so impressed by his work. We needed a large hole in repaired in our laundry room wall that had been made by a plumber when he was placing a new set up for a new washer.
So we called Jaun and he was so polite and professional. He gathered as much information as he could about the job (the dimensions of the hole, type of Sheetrock, type of paint, etc..). He definitely knew what he was doing and what he would need. He even had us send photos. He got us on his schedule in a very timely manner.
He even called the evening before the job to remind us of the appointment and to make sure we had the paint to match the wall when he was done patching it.
He showed up 15 minutes early! The first thing he did was show us his credentials (licensed, insurance, bonded, etc..). I have never had anyone that came to do work on my home do that. It was very professional and gave us a great sense of confidence. He went to work right away. He was exceptionally careful not to damage our home. Everything was covered and he used some type of air filter device that ran the whole time. There was little to no dust! When he finished patching a very jagged, large hole making room for the hoses and other things associated with the washer he painted and waited for it to dry. It matched perfectly. No one would ever guess that there was ever any damage to that wall when he was done!
He is amazing! While he was there we had him look at our roof which needs the moss removed and cleaned and he gave us an estimate for that to. He offers a number of different services. We feel very lucky to have found him. If you are looking for a professional who will do the job right he is the person to call!

i had damaged vinyl paneling on a section of the house that nobody was willing to deal with. discouraged after many inquires i eventually found juan. i could not have been more fortunate. he is absolutely the best!!. he came up with a creative solution and did a fantastic job. he will be the only handyman i will contact whenever need be....... and he is also simply a very nice young man.

Juan, of Skagit Home Repairs, showed up for the estimate inspection and for the roof moss removal at the agreed-to time. He was always professional, cheerful and a hard worker. He took photos of before and after, so I could see what needed to be done and what work was accomplished. He showed me his business license and L&I insurance documents and he safety measures while on my roof. When the work was done he made sure everything was cleaned up. I would gladly hire him again.

I’m so happy that a friend introduced me to Juan and his business! He is on-time, skillful and he did a wonderful job with all those projects that were piling up at my house, everything from recaulking and painting my porch columns to installing a new door knocker to grinding down slate tile to get a register grate properly placed. I give him my highest recommendation!

Very meticulous contractor. Treated my roof and some minor repairs on the roof. Followed up during the warranty time and removed moss that was still hanging around! Thank you and will use again .

Juan replaced the wind-damaged fence around my large backyard. He was easy to work with, kept me informed at every step, and did a beautiful job. I was happy that he was able to re-use boards from my old fence.

I found Skagit Home Services as an ad in the local newspaper and then hired Juan (owner) to install 2 cat doors and to redo some moulding in my kitchen. We are so glad we did. He was on time and prepared. His quote was reasonable and the work was well done. Juan was careful and cleaned up all when he was done. We are quite pleased with the results and will definitely hire Juan again.

Fence blew down in a windstorm the day after Christmas and it was repaired within a week (much faster than I was quoted by the other area companies I contacted). Responded within a day to my first contact using their website, and came out to look at the original job and a couple other add ons I requested before the end of the week. He gave me options to choose from and a reasonable quote later that day. Easy to work with and had clear communication throughout. Did a great job!

Juan has done 2 jobs for me now. He communicates well about the price of the job beforehand so there are no suprises later. He also shows up on time and is able to complete the job efficiently. I want to share my experience with Juan and Skagit Home Repairs LLC. Juan accommodated my schedule and met me early Saturday morning. He evaluated the issue, sloped yard and a dog who runs from the back yard creating a trench, moving the dirt/mulch against the fence, bowing the bottom. I received an estimate on Monday and the work was scheduled the following week. The estimate was reasonable and the workmanship be was great, with reinforcement boards. If you want gray work, look no further!

Juan is a hard worker, fair and honest and does great job! We had our gutters cleaned and he was careful and thorough, making them look near-new again. Will gladly hire Juan again for our other needs!

I discovered Juan about a18 months ago & since he's done a number of home repairs for me He always does a terrific job. He's always responds promptly and reviews what needs to be done & explains the work in a manner that easy for me to understand as well as provides a written estimate. The latest project was replacing a fence - he removed the old fence, cleaned the dirt away from the bottom & did a fantastic job - the new fence looks terrific. One of things I really like about Juan is how neat and tidy he is - he always cleans up & removes all traces so all that remains is the finished product. His pricing is fair & he provides a warranty so there's the added benefit of that as well.

Juan was very professional and communicative throughout the whole process of scheduling and completing the job. When unforeseen circumstances changed the nature of the job, he was quick to let me know about the changes and worked with me to complete the job in spite of weather and traffic complications. 10/10. We can't say enough good things about the repairs that Juan of Skagit Home Repairs did for us. He was timely and the quality of his work was excellent. He repaired wood framing outside, and damaged drywall inside, then painted the areas to perfection!
He also replaced some smoke alarms, hung some new light fixtures, and replaced light switches. .He has an excellent eye for detail and is very knowledgeable about various ways to fix problem areas. We wanted to test Skagit Home Repairs LLC with a small junk hauling job. Juan was great. He is professional, keeps his commitments and on time.
Price was appropriate. He is doing a bid on some house trim replacement. We hope that works out as well as our job today.

After researching other home improvement contractors in the area, I booked a quote with Juan and was not disappointed. As someone who works in community development, my standards are high and they were exceeded with Skagit Home Repairs. Communicative, professional, respectful, and timely from the start, Juan went above and beyond. He made sure the construction and repairs of my home (of which were many, due to a very anxious dog and some worn/rotted wood on exterior landings) met my expectations as well as safety/construction standards. I could not have been more pleased with the work and the improvements he made along the way. On top of the quality construction, Juan’s customer service was exactly what you would want from someone working on your home. He respected the space, my time, and project considerations around cost/potential issues/etc. If I could give more stars, I would and I will absolutely be contacting him in the future for home improvement needs.

Juan was professional, friendly, thorough and did a wonderful job installing our new front door. He was on time, did excellent work painting and installing a new door including frame, trim and hardware. He cleaned up perfectly and we couldn't be more pleased!

SHR LLC pressure washed our patio slab and driveway. It turned out beautifully. Some repairs were done on the roof. SHR LLC will return and do more for us.

11/9/22-an update. I have now used Skagit Home Repair again for a remodeling project to my home. This was the most extensive work that he has done for me to date and all that I have previously said about Juan and Skagit Home Repairs holds true again. I now have a beautiful new room completed ahead of schedule with all the acknowledge, skill and diligence that Juan brings to him work. Again, honest in his pricing and respectful of your home.
Previous review: Over the past few months I have contracted with Skagit Home Repair for 4 jobs in my home. The largest and most recent was an update to my kitchen. This included a new countertop, sink, faucet and disposal. Juan told me 2 &½ days. Juan was consistently punctual, diligent, thorough and clean. He did a beautiful job and completed it within the promised time. After 4 jobs I can also say he is honest. Someone you would not mind having in your home. If you need some work done, I highly recommend Skagit Home Repair.

Juan is a great person as well as great at all aspects of home repair. He has fixed water damaged drywall around a window and did an outstanding job. Replaced my medicine cabinet & lights in my bathroom. I will have him back this spring to install a new fence for me.

Juan Schultz of Skagit Home Repairs built the most beautifully constructed fence I've ever seen. Meticulous work using 3 - 4x4's instead of the usual 2 in order to better stabilize the boards and attaching those 4x4's to the posts with brackets.

He also designed a California fence and gate that any homeowner would be proud to display. Outside of the gate he replaced an old paver walkway with a beautiful cement one.

I would highly recommend Juan and I intend to engage his services for future remodeling. He will tell you up front if he feels the job is more than he is equipped to do. He is honest, courteous, highly professional, accommodating and an absolute pleasure to work with.
