From the salesperson Mike to the roofing crew who installed our roof, everyone was professional, timely, and honest. My wife and I are very happy with Shield Roofing's work and we will use them again.

Our contractor/salesman Chris was phenomenal. He is very nice and hardworking. His sales pitch was clear, candid, honest, easy to understand, and accurate -- not pushy at all. Everything he said and promised was true and reliable. The installation crew led by Luis was excellent, prompt, fast, and attentive to my needs and questions throughout the process. The new roof is much better quality and all leaks have been repaired. Highly recommend Chris, Luis, and Shield Roofing. Several other houses on our street used them as well.

My roof was in need of being replaced for some time and I finally decided to get it done. My neighbor gave me info for another contractor but I am so glad Shield left a door marker. Jonathan came out gave me a much better quote. I was especially impressed that unlike the other company he actually got up on my roof to ensure that I would get the needed supplies for my job. He made this process so easy and simple. The crew came yesterday and I couldn’t be more pleased with their work. I am so happy with my new roof and I plan to call him again soon to get my siding replaced as well!

Had a leak pop up in our ceiling in our master bedroom that was growing pretty rapidly. Called Shield Roofing and had an appointment to have our roof inspected the next day. Mike Groom came out and had a quote drafted up almost immediately which was well below what I had anticipated paying. They had materials ordered and the job completed less than 2 weeks later. On the day of install, the crew were fast, professional, and one of the cleanliest as far as managing old roof waste. They did an awesome job and the roof looks great. Their project manager, Luis, checked in throughout the entirety of it and sent pictures updating on the progress. From the first contact with the lady who helped arrange the inspection to completion, Shield was nothing but polite and professional. I would highly recommend them to anybody needing roof repair/replacement in the Morgantown area.

I called the folks at Shield to get a quote on roofing repairs and/or replacement. It was a pleasant surprise that they were able to send someone out the next day to take a look at my roof.

Chris came out to provide me with a quote after investigating the current issues. To get an idea of the current state of the roof he flew a drone up and took multiple pictures. While flying the drone he also took the time to show me the issues he was seeing and explain why they were problematic.

After reviewing the roof Chris took about 10 minutes or so to put together a quote on what it would cost to replace the roof. There were three different levels of plans. I was very impressed with the information provided to me and how readily Chris answered my questions and made himself available if I had any additional questions.

While I may not have used Shield Roofing and Construction for this job I will certainly keep them in mind for future projects at my home.

Chris Mercer was particularly attentive to watching the progress of the work and dealing with any concerns. The crew was very friendly and worked harder than anyone I have ever had at my home. They worked hard at cleaning up every evening.

Very satisfied with Shield roofing Co. Chris was very helpful in explaining all aspects of their roofing jobs. He and Luis were in touch every step of the way. Very economical, which was helpful , project was for my Moms older house, years & wind had put a tole on the roof. Workers were on time, and each had their job to do and did it very well. Roof was done in one day professionally & quickly. Clean up was exceptional. Nothing left behind, but peace of mind. Thanks to the whole crew.

My wife and I used Shield Roofing to replace the original roof on our house. After speaking to a few other companies, we got connected with Chris and realized Shield was the one to go with. Chris was very professional and responsive and answered all the questions we had. Once we had our project booked, Chris along Luis, kept us updated on our timeline and start date. Materials arrived the morning of and the crew finished the project the same day! Clean up was first rate as well.

I contacted Shield Roofing & Construction to have the gutters on my roof evaluated. While I was not experiencing any drainage or water leaks in the 8 years I've owned my home, an inspector strongly recommended having flashing installed.

Shield Roofing & Construction came out and conducted an assessment free of charge. They could have easily turned this into costly service, however, they determined that flashing is not required and would require altering my neighbor's roofing.

Their staff is professional, friendly, and most importantly in this case, honest. I highly recommend them in obtaining an honest assessment for what you may or may not need for your roof. First class service!

Very prompt, and good quality work. Chris Mercer took care of me and made sure I got the roof I wanted for the right price. Installation took one day, and the crew cleaned everything up. Would recommend them to anyone I know.

My gutters were leaking rain into my basement each time it rained. Since my gutters were replaced not one drop has come in. Pleased with both the product and the service. I would hire them again, .and of course recommend them to friends and family.

I called Shield Roofing & Construction for an estimate to fix an overflow problem with one area of the roof on the back of our home covering a garage. I was quite surprised when Barry said he wasn’t going to give me an estimate, he was just going to fix the problem, no charge! While fixing the issue with the overflow problem he did point out an additional issue with flashing that wasn’t originally installed, but offered again to try to help alleviate that problem as a temporary fix until my husband and I were ready to take on a much bigger project of replacing the roof. Great service, very humble and kind!

Signed 9/18/18 upon that we were informed they were 30 days out. Green Sky billed us $5000.00 before we got any of our supplies and they didn't even start working on our roof yet. Orginal start date was 12/31/18 that didn't happen because of no supplies, Kristi called changing it to 1/7/19 then we were called again and it changed to 1/8/19 because their van wouldn't start, then Tyler cancelled 1/8/19 due it was raining this day then Kristi called and cancelled the rest of the week. Then Kristi gave us a new start date of 1/14/19 then Tyler called changing it to 1/15/19 during this conversation my husband told them we needed a tarp so our house wouldn't take on any more damage inside and outside Tyler told us to call Barry and his crew would do it. They didn't show up 1/15/19 didn't even call my husband to reschedule we are now to 1/18/19 5 months since we signed and no roof yet. At this point I started to contact law offices but none did this particular type of law. Told Barry where to drop off the supplies they put they supplies were my husband park in mud ruts because of all the rain. Our supplies were exposed during this time. My husband called Barry at least 5 times during this time he left messages not very prompt on calling clients back and communication in the company was not the greatest because instead of helping you they rather pass you off to another department even if it was the wrong department. On 1/11/19 our nephew move our wood out of the mud ruts which are now pools of water. On 1/17/19 talked to Marquetta she told me weather permitting framing will start on 1/28/19 and told her about the wood damage and other concerns at this point. 1/28/19 they never showed up for framing so my husband called Barry on 2/4/19 to find out when were going to possibly get our roof done. On 1/17/19 Barry called very apologetic and told my husband that he would send a crew to cover the holes we called to have cover on 1/15/19. Kristi called on 1/15/19 saying they will need 3 good days for the roof to be done. Barry never sent anyone to do the tarps to cover the holes. My husband called Barry on 2/4/19 twice once at 8:30 leaving a message and again at 9:30 this time not leaving a message then Barry texted my husband saying he was in a meeting then said Gene from production would call him we never got a call from Gene also said someone would be out to put a tarp on our roof and that we are on the schedule for 2/11/19. Our roof got started on 2/9/19 and was finished on 2/10/19 was told by a worker that they kept pushing us back for what reason I will never know but it took about another week for the gutter person to get out their before the entire project was done. So long story I know but a total of 6 months to get a roof and gutters I will never recommend this company and I know my parents or inlaws will not as well because of what happened to us. Also unused products they didn't take back to give credit they rather you keep them and keep paying them more money instead them righting their wrong.

Top shelf service. Shield's price wasn't the lowest but they were the most professional. My sales guy Mike G. was great and very helpful & the all Shield people I met were upstanding pros. They were punctual and unbelievably fast. One day on, one day off- on a complicated roof in the dead of winter no less. I like to save money where I can but I have no regrets because of Shield's great warranty (on their workmanship not the typical manufacturer warranty), conscientious design on my complex roof and pro approach put me at ease. A couple small issues arose but they handled them better than I could have expected. A roof isn’t something to roll the dice on- I highly recommend Shield Roofing.

Affordable and had my roof complete in one day! Love the warranty options and the price was just right. Very responsive on text and call. They even replaced an entire piece of fascia for me free of charge just because they got a little smudge of grime on it!

Mike Groom was awesome to work with. He was very knowledgeable and helpful in making such a large purchase and big decision. I did have some issues they had to come back and fix, such as forgetting to install some drip edge, fixing freeze board, they scratched a brand new gate to my breezeway from shingles being thrown on it and I had a roof leak a month later however they did come correct most of the issues. Overall the roof looks great and I am glad I went with the golden pledge package.

So great to work with! They quickly came for an estimate when my roof was damaged by a wind storm. They did a quick repair to hold me over until the new roof could be installed and gave a thorough explanation of everything. Couldn't have asked for better service.

Roofing and gutters...excellent. soffit and fascia lacked the finished touch. Personnel in charge were excellent but the field crew for soffit and fascia cared less what their finished product looked like. Lack of pride in their quality of work.

Highly recommend! Chris Mercer did a fantastic job from the start evaluating our roof and giving the presentation on what the company could provide. The crew was great! They were friendly and respectful. The job was done quickly and efficiently. Clean up was great. I wish every home improvement experience ran this smoothly, they really know how to run a company properly.

From the sales rep to the amazing work crew who dodged thunder storms and deep mud, the entire experience was top notch. Absolutely professional, great work and done quicker than expected.

From the start Shields was top notch. Chris Mercer gave us everything we needed & more. Roofing materials arrived and a couple days later the crew arrived. In a couple days the roof was completed. They did take pictures of roof rotted areas for our review and repaired them. Roofer cleaned up old materials and nails in yard. the only negative was the materials was delivered and not covered up. The roof fan and a coup;e other items should've been covered with rain in the forecast. We covered them. Great roof job.

I would highly recommend Shield Roofing, they may cost a little more but the peace of mind you get with a professional company, like this, is well worth it. They removed off my old roof and put a new roof on, the same day.

They came out and worked from daylight til dark tore off 2 layers of shingles and replaced them in 2 days in the cold weather when it was in the teens outside and they didn't even take a break. They laid tarps all around house before they started taring off old roof. then when they were done they cleaned up mess and used a magnetic roller that picked up all nails. And roof never leaked at all so far after Shield Roofing replaced the roof and we have had downpours since that. And before it was leaking everywhere and i had several other people work on it and they didn't get it fixed other roofers just wasted my money on material and labor. 5 STARS.

Shield roofing replaced the roof on our home this past summer. They were quick, skilled and tidy when replacing the roof. We are glad we met them at a home show and refer them to all of our friends and family! Easy to work with from start to finish!

The sales rep I dealt with, Barry Hicks, was very knowledgeable and professional. They replaced my roof, soffit and facia, and gutters and downspouts. All work and cleanup was excellent.The only negative comment is that there was a paperwork snafu with the gutter replacement which delayed it for two weeks. It was finally resolved after four phone calls. I would recommend Shield very highly for the quality of their work!

Such an easy experience. Professional work done from the first meeting to the last. The crew also left our driveway/yard cleaner then when they showed up!! Will recommend to anyone!

Sales Rep. Jeff Duschl is the reason I went with Shield. He went above and beyond and did everything he said he would. I was less happy with the crew. The work was professional, but I was not happy with the clean-up.

My house in Charles Town was hit by hail damage. My experience with the sales rep Jeff Duschl was exceptional. He explained every aspect of the installation including what they would provide for the price. The installation of the siding by Hector and his crew was also first rate. The site was cleaned up at the end of every day and completely cleaned when they were done. I delt with and sold building materiels to contractors for almost 30 years and these people and company was one of the best I delt with.

Amazing company, they showed at 8 AM to start work and by 1 PM they were done cleaned up and going home. I would recommend this company to anyone!

Worst roofing company ever. These guys show up to work on the roof at the hotel I'm staying at at 7PM and proceed to bang nails in. It's well past dark and over 20 people are out in the hallway trying to figure out what is going on. The guy at the front desk tells me they are bringing up materials and will be working tomorrow. I climbed up to the roof myself to tell them to know it off. What kind of fly by night company does roofing in the dark.
