We use PSI for all our plumbing needs. They answer the phones promptly, respond to jobs quickly and communicate effectively. They arrive on time, leave jobsite clean. They are our go to Plumbers for our property management company.

I have been using PSI for all my plumbing needs for many years. They are always responsive, responding quickly to my requests. The office is courteous and the plumbers are as well. When I found them years ago, I was so relieved. In Kona then and still now, it is hard to find reliable and dependable workers. I highly recommend PSI for all of your plumbing needs.

As the owner of PM LOUNGE Property Management, PSI has been vital to our success. We depend heavily on our vendors, PSI has always responded positively to our requests both normal and emergency.

We contacted PSI to check why the drains were backed up. They came on short notice when all other providers were preoccupied (Friday before Christmas). Team of two, younger guys. They checked the septic, said it was full and that they don't pump. They asked for their service fee (1h min), and left within 20 minutes of arriving.

A second opinion from ABC Cesspool & Septic Pumping said the tank probably wasn't full, but that there was probably a clog that could be dislodged. It was evening at this point so we took matters into our own hands. After digging down 3 or so feet, I found the septic cap. Sure enough, upon inspection, there was a blockage. A few pokes with a pole, and it came gushing out. Everything is working again. ABC said while it wasn't totally full, it was due to be cleaned, more or less confirming PSI's diagnosis. I've scheduled the cleaning with ABC.

3-stars for availability on short notice during a holiday weekend and getting it partly right. However, they were totally disinterested in fixing anything, and punted the problem. I can't review their work as I ended up doing it myself.

The plumbers from Plumbing Strategies did a wonderful job replacing the shower head and bathroom faucet at my house.They were prompt, responsive, and did a wonderful job replacing these plumbing fixtures.

I was charged $670 in labor to replace a wax ring under my toilet. Plumbing Strategies charged me for 2 plumbers at 2.5 hours of work each to replace a wax ring under the toilet. I was informed by Heather that the extra plumber was needed to help lift the heavy toilet. It’s not complicated to replace a wax ring. I’m not a qualified plumber but I’ve replaced numerous wax rings under toilets in less than an hour and all by myself. Be warned about the number of hours and the number of plumbers they will charge you for a small project.

On the Friday afternoon before Christmas, I arrived at my (hospitalized) brother's house to find 2 toilets plugged, the third running and the kitchen sink leaking. Plumber Larry was there within an hour, fixed everything and helped with a few other plumbing tasks as well. (The usual plumber could not be bothered.). I recommend this company and Larry in particular very highly. Call them first.

They have always been so responsive to us and I don’t feel the panic I used to get when I needed a plumber since we found Plumbing Strategies, Inc. a few years ago. Well done!!!

PSI did a fantastic repair job at my home in Kona Palisades. They were quick to respond on phone, appointment made and kept promptly. The gentleman that showed up, Larry, was very professional, listened carefully, completed the repair quickly and thoroughly. Highly recommend PSI !!

Great service by the whole team. Very professional, reasonably priced and friendly. Safe with COVID procedures too. Tyson was efficient, on time, fair and friendly. Could let ask for anything more!

Had I read the reviews before engaging work with PSI, I definitely wouldn’t have contacted them.
I called to schedule work to be done consisting of replacing 2 bathroom faucets, 2 shower head kits, 1 kitchen sink faucet and 2 toilets. One toilet was rocking and the other clogged often. I was told it would take one day to complete everything.

The first day, 2 plumbers came one hour late. We did not receive a phone call notifying us of the delay. They worked for 3 hours and left without completing the entire work order. We were told their workday had ended and would be back the next day to finish the job.

Day 2, late by one hour again and no notice. Two plumbers worked on the job for a couple of hours and again left because they ran out of time. The work was still incomplete. My husband discovered the bathroom sink was still leaking despite being told replacing it would stop the leak.

Day 3, plumber showed up late again, no notice. Work still not completed. Plumber was told about the faucet leak by my husband, which he fixed on day 4. We also mentioned that the temperature control in one of the showers was installed backwards. Turned the handle to cold and got hot water and vice versa. He fixed the problem and told us the cartridge inside of the faucet control to the shower head was previously installed backwards during our renovation 9 years ago. He said he reinstalled it correctly. Now, think about his statement. If the problem was the cartridge being installed incorrectly 9 years ago, don’t you think we would have that hot vs cold problem for the last 9 years?

Day 4, two plumbers showed up on time. Toilets were to be worked on. The one with the clogging problem was not resolved. We were told by the plumber that simply replacing the bowl wax would solve the problem. When he started to work on the toilet, he flushed it and it worked fine. Of course it would! My husband has been plunging the toilet as a temporary fix. He didn’t take the time to investigate further if there might be a problem down the line. He told us he changed the bowl wax and that some times the toilets are off center with the flange and bowl wax which can cause clogging problems. He assured us the problem was resolved and told us to call him back if we had any further problems. We had no reason to not believe him.

Guess what? Yup, the toilet is still clogging. I contacted Heather, the office manager, about being charged for a toilet that’s still not working. I even sent her a video of the problem. That’s when everything became really nasty and her tone towards us became combative.

I not only asked about the unfixed toilet, but also questioned why, what should have taken 2 plumbers one day to complete, was piece mealed over 4 days?
The comments we received back, the accusations that were pointed at us, just the whole combative attitude from Heather was a shock. When we asked questions, she’d answer us back with questions in rude and disrespectful tones. In one instance, I was explaining about some of the problems we were encountering, her response was, “If you’re totally unhappy with us, you should have cancelled the rest of the job and contacted another plumber.” She even went as far as to tell us that we should’ve called back our contractor who installed the shower with the temperature controls to fix that problem. As I mentioned earlier, the renovation took place 9 years ago. The guy is no longer in business and more importantly, we never had the temperature problem until the day PSI installed the new fixture. Furthermore, we don’t believe the plumber even tested the shower before leaving or he would realized the problem right away.

Bottom line is, we’ve asked to speak with the owner several times and we’re still waiting on a call back. I asked Heather for his email address. She stated all his emails go thru her and would not give us that information. Sound fishy? I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone.

Made an appointment, over one week out from the time of my call. Appnt was to be at 10:30 am. At 11 am no one had shown up and no phone call from the company telling me why. I called the company and was told the plumber might still be at his first job. I was told I'd get a call back with an ETA. Never got a call back. At 1 pm, I called and left a message that I was cancelling anyone from their company coming out. I get a call back, as the girl is talking to me, she abruptly says she has to go and will call me back. She never called me back I've moved on, found a much better, reliable plumber.

Larry the plumber was excellent. He completed the job within the minimum 1 hour, even hustling to Lowe's to get a satin nickel finish sink drain to match the satin nickel finish faucets. He was very conscientious in offering to get the matching drain, rather than just using the glossy chrome finish one that wouldn't have looked as nice. It was my first time using PSI since I just moved to town, and I feel very lucky to have found them. I will use them in the future, and highly recommend them.

They did a great job. Fast . July 2020, did more work. These guys are still awesome. Absolutely da best

BOBBIE, RYAN and HEATHER are AMAZING !!! We've had two water line leaks fixed and a shower cartridge replaced by RYAN this year. He is always FRIENDLY, HELPFUL and KNOWLEDGEABLE working in the blazing hot sun or in pouring down rain !!! BOBBIE is SUPERB in helping to schedule the appointments as quickly as possible and calming me down and reassuring me RYAN will take care of it. HEATHER has been GREAT in keeping me updated if RYAN is running late due to a job he is working on before ours. I take care of my Mom who is almost 90 and having water working to the house it something we take for granted. When we unfortunately have a plumbing problem we can ALWAYS count on PSI !!!

This company installed a kitchen faucet for me a couple of years ago, and now I need another (not due to their install). So, of course I have called this company to install my new kitchen faucet because they did such a terrific job the first time around. The fee was reasonable, around $140 IIRC, and the plumber knew enough to know how to turn off the water at the water heater instead of turning it off for the whole house, which impressed me.

You can count me a happy enough customer to return for repeat business and, in Hawaii, this sort of behavior means a lot.

Extremely rude lady manager Heather. I admit I was slightly upset when I called to question charges in our condo - $890 for a garbage disposal replacement (Pro333, PVC waste kit, Kohler basket strainer, PVC pipes. 2 hrs labor). This was not an emergency call and unfortunately it was arranged by our property manager w/o our knowledge. The lady told me: "of course, there is a markup on our parts and if you do not like it you should have used your own parts. When I questioned their plumber competency, taking 2 hours to this, she hung up. I hope we do not ever have to use them again. I know Island living is not cheap, but i thought this was way too much.

At my first call, asking for information, Cherise Larson was very helpful and friendly, without being pushy. She offered me the first available time slot, which was the following business day. I had never used their services before, but they came very highly recommended from the Head of Maintenance in our development so the next time I need a plumber, they will be the one I call!

I needed to find a way to reduce the pressure of the irrigation/pool line that was coming in at 125-140 psi. Our pool float valve, that was rated at 0-100 psi, was leaking from its seams, being unable to handle that much pressure. I called DWS to have them investigate it but got nowhere. Cherise offered to send Alex to give me a free estimate but as soon as he came and saw the pressure at 140 psi, he went ahead and installed a pressure regulator before any more time had passed and more damage happened.

I couldn't be happier, and knowing I have a plumber like this available to me in the future is very comforting. I would absolutely recommend PSI to anyone.

We've had them come over twice, and each time, the guy who came was punctual, fast, efficient and cleaned the mess himself. I appreciate that kind of service!

CALL ANYONE ELSE! Guy showed up, gave one pump of a plunger- and of course, the toilet that had been clogged for days drained, he stated that this happens all the time and left. Got a bill for $170. Then, an unbelieveably rude receptionist phoned to inform that we had incurred a late charge. I have informed all 700 employees (who hopefully have told all of their friends) where I work NOT to use this company. NO ALOHA. OH, BY THE WAY- PROBLEM STILL EXISTS...

Always professional, I have used them 3 times now, scheduling my 4th - all for different things, so dont worry.
Guys are reasonably on time, do excellent work, and clean up after themselves.
As a REALTOR here, I sometimes have small simple jobs. and sometimes complex hard ones, either way , they are always good
