Servpro of Gurnee came out to fix everything that another office couldn’t fulfill and I was so glad! Kyle, John R, John B and Manuel were great! Monday 2/24 my insurance company sent SERVPRO.
Litigation crew awesome. They mentioned they are also approved by my insurance to do repairs. BIG MISTAKE.
My Insurance company approved and issued a check on 3/22/25.
I CALLED JENNIFER ON 4/3 requesting an update on when I should expect repairs. " Manger out, should receive call back on Monday 4/7. No call received.

MY BATHROOM VANITY STILL IN MY DINING ROOM AND NO CALL OR NO COMMUNICATION AS TO WHEN ANY REPAIRS ARE GOING TO BE DONE. IS THIS FRAUD?

We just moved into a new house and one of the first things we did was call Servpro. John and Issac came right out and gave a fast, honest quote and got right to work. I couldn’t be happier with the detailed explanation and fast service. Really nice guys too, would highly recommend.

Can’t say enough good things. Had a backed-up drainage pipe that covered our basement in brown water. They came over 45 minutes after my initial call, John new exactly what to do - walked me thru the issues step by step, called a good plumber to come over to confirm the issue, and kept me in the loop every step of the way until his team was done. Willie, Coco, et al all came over and did a great job cleaning up, helping us sort thru what we could potentially keep, pulling up the carpet and proactively putting in all the mitigation fans, etc. Were prompt and thorough. Turned a surprising, stressful situation into a manageable one.

A great experience from start to finish! John was friendly, knowledgeable, and took the time to answer all the questions we had as we worked up the quote range, which I felt was reasonable for the services we got. Rafael and Isael were the onsite crew and they did an *amazing* job - from prep, to removal and finally cleanup they treated both me and my house with respect, and they were just cool guys to boot. ServPro was outstanding in responding to our situation in a timely, thorough and professional manner. No detail was left unattended to and they were comprehensive in the photos, reports and work done. Rafael, John, Kyle, Chris, Isael, Emerson and Tre were all a stellar crew and I would highly recommend this group for an emergency mitigation work needed.

John came out Thursday to provide an estimate, he was very thorough and clearly explained what would need to be done and provided a low and high price range for the services needed. He was very helpful having not dealt with this before and answered all of our questions. Willie and Isaac showed up on Friday to take care of our issue and exceeded our expectations. They were both very polite and did a fantastic job and ensured that we were happy with all the work they had done. They were very respectful of our property and kept putting their booties on and off even with all the snow that was occurring. They answered all of our questions and pointed out some potential issues too to prevent this in the future. Overall, extremely happy with the service John, Willie, and Isaac provided. When I went to go check out Willie and Isaac's work, it was like nothing had ever happened as they had done such a good job.

Had a really bad flood at our facility in Libertyville and it was after hours on a Tuesday evening. Crew was out within 2 hours assessing the damage and setting up. The demolition is done and so far we are impressed with the work done by Kyle and his crew. John from immigration always picked up his phone and was great. Ruth has been great also along with Cody with the planning of getting the building back together. Other names to mention would be Kyle, John ,Arturo, Willie, Trey, Emerson, Isaac, Nacho, Coco, Chris, Raphael, Isael, Soniq, Mattew, Manuel, Reese, and Eli

This company came highly recommended by a contractor who has done work on my home. The bottom line is that my wife and I are completely satisfied with the mold remediation and after work cleanup. The crew was led by Willie, sorry I don’t have his last name. But, he and his crew were completely thorough before, during and after. At this point, I still need restoration of drywall, and to be honest, setting up an appointment for that has been slow. However, as I write this I have been told the work is noted and I can expect the process to proceed.

This is AN UPDATE
While I am satisfied with the remediation work, I am completely dissatisfied with ServPro's follow-up for dry wall restoration. It took four days to get a response for their estimate. It looked way too high. I got a second estimate from a service recommended to me by the same contractor who led me to Servpro. That estimate was a little more than one quarter of what Servpro wanted. I hired them last Friday and their crew is here doing the work today. I'm sorry Servpro could not have been more responsive. I have also cut my evaluation of Servpro from 5 to 3 stars.

ServPro Gurnee is just as its name implies—truly professional. Can''t say enough good things about the team that was sent to my home to mitigate a frozen pipe that burst and flooded an office and a part of the kitchen. Rafael, John, Reese, Isael, and Trey all did a top job drying every single inch of the space out over five days, keeping the rest of the house free from further damage. They answered all my questions thoroughly and all were courteous to my wife and I. Thanks, guys, for a superb job.

Remediation started today. Great squad came out and started what seemed like a nightmare. Much more work to be done but shout out to John, Rafael, Manuel & Isaac for quick response and a seamless kickoff to remediation from a crazy pre-Christmas flooding.

Wow. Very impressed. I own several properties-- both commercial and residential and unfortunately have had to deal with flood mitigation and restoration from multiple class 1, 2, 3 sources over the years. I have to say, hands-down, these guys are the most professional, cohesive team I have encountered. Follow-up is immediate. They work efficiently and effectively. These guys are all very knowledgeable, courteous, and very respectful of your money and home. Ask for John's team consisting of Kyle, Emerson, and also Rafael. I posted months ago about how terrible this company has been with their work and communication. Kelly Cowell, the owner, asked me on my post to reach out to her. I have called MANY times since SEPTEMBER of 2024 and have YET to get in contact with her or any one that can do anything. This has been on going since August of 2023. We made many calls to get the company to work with us and pay for the repairs of the damages their crews caused to our home only for those calls to be ignored and then sent our account to collections. If you don't want to deal with an extended headache I would HIGHLY recommend reaching out to a different company.

I had a plumbing leak with foul smelling water. I called and spoke with Betza who organized their crew and they were dispatched within an hour. And this was Saturday. Rafael and Manuel came to my house. Analyzed everything professionally and cleaned everything after explaining everything to me. Really terrific experience which I appreciate. Thanks

Work performed at my residence was excellent. The people I came in contact with, John, Rafael, Willie, Kyle, Art, Emerson and Javonna were very professional, informative, and polite. They answered any and all questions I had. The whole team worked well together.

Great team showed up at my house. They were courteous, efficient, knew what they were doing. Very organized, cleaned up after themselves, unbelievable operation. The restoration team (Eli, Coco, Jim, Izzy, and Hylton), led by Austin, turned what could have been a nightmare into an unexpectedly positive experience.

I recently had the pleasure of working with the incredible team at Servpro of Gurnee, and I can't express enough how impressed I am with their service. In a time when quality service feels hard to come by Rafael, John, Willie, and Emerson truly stand out.

When a leak from our dysfunctional washer wreaked havoc in our main floor laundry, and flooded part of our finished basement, I was in a panic. To my relief, they arrived the very same day I called. Updated review 2/3: Laundry Room & Basement Repair

We recently had the pleasure of working with ServPro to repair and rebuild our laundry room and part of our finished basement after a water leak. Overall, our experience was very positive, and I wanted to share our feedback.

Our project manager, Austin, was fantastic. He was extremely personable, friendly, and always kept us in the loop throughout the process. He communicated easily via phone and text, and made sure to stop by each day to check on the progress. His professionalism and attention to detail really made a difference in how smoothly everything went.

We also worked with an amazing team of professionals (Jim, Hylton, Eli, and Arturo) who were respectful of our home at all times. It was clear they cared about doing quality work and making sure we were satisfied with the results.

The work on our laundry room was flawless. It needed a new tile floor, some drywall work, baseboards, trim, and paint—and everything was completed to perfection. I didn’t have a single critique on that part of the project. Jim and Hylton did an absolutely fantastic job.

As for our basement, it was a larger project, and the process went smoothly for the most part. However, during the final walk-through, we noticed a few minor issues and a lack of attention to detail that added an extra week to the project timeline. I feel that these issues could have been caught earlier by the project manager.

Overall, my husband and I had a great experience with ServPro, and we would absolutely recommend them to friends and family. Just a word of advice: while a project manager is overseeing things, it’s important for the homeowner to stay involved and review the work carefully. This will help ensure every detail is taken care of to your satisfaction.

Updated review 2/3: Insulation removal and replacement

We recently had Willie and Kyle from ServPro remove and replace the insulation in our basement, and we couldn’t be more pleased with the work they did. They were in and out very quickly, but the quality of their work was excellent.

All the techs at ServPro are great, but Willie truly stands out. He takes his time to ensure the homeowner is completely satisfied with the work being done. His attention to detail and willingness to go the extra mile really sets him apart. Throughout the process, Willie made sure we felt at ease and confident that everything was being handled with care.

We’re so grateful to Willie and Kyle for their professionalism and great work. If you need any work done, I highly recommend them!

Do not use these people. They have terrible customer service when you call in for any reason. We tried for MONTHS to get them to work with us to pay for damages they caused to our property with their equipment. They busted some piping in our basement and left a giant hole in the wall and said NOTHING! We found it, documented and provided pictures to the office and we were told they would get back to us. I followed up many times and still nothing. We finally get a call from COLLECTIONS looking for the full amount plus fees for their services. We had already paid half for the service and had to provide documentation to the collections company to get that reduced. We will NEVER use ServPro of Gurnee again. I'd rather have water in my basement than to deal with such crooked people. Brad and Kelly Cowell, you need to get closer to your business and office staff if you want your company to survive.

Update 9/29 - I did call the number Kelly left in her response and have YET to get a call back...

John, Rafael, and Isa were awesome. After our sewer issue they came quickly, talked through what they found, and came up with a mitigation game plan. They helped me ensure that I was covered before committing to any work, which we appreciated. They mitigated the damage, cleaned, and began drying our basement within 3 hours on the next business day. These guys were total pros, super friendly, highly recommend!

I contacted ServePro in Gurnee for service and basically received a complete run around from the staff. I was promised someone would call me and come out, I called back several hours later and she said that the Manager, Ken would have to call me with a price/quote - never happened. I received many promises with the person on the phone but they did not happen. Four days now and never received any call. You should be honest with people.

After a pipe broke while on vacation, SERVEPRO came on a Satuday and dried up the area. They came daily to check on it. Everything was explained so I had no surprises. Recently used ServPro for the first time for flooding in basement. They were quick to respond and mitigate. They were very knowledgeable about the insurance process and there was no pressure to complete work until I was comfortable with my costs and coverage. However they did quickly stabilize the area so there was no further damage and then quickly cleaned up the area once we had a plan. The staff, Kenny, Arturo and John especially were professional, helpful and available if I had any questions. Would highly recommend ServPro Gurnee!

I would like to thank Ken and his team for the exceptional clean up they performed in my house!! My main drain broke exiting my house causing a backup of water. They came in and kept me aware of every step they were taking and what parts of the flooring needed to be torn out. They took time to explain why so much demolition needed to be done in order to prevent mold. I greatly appreciate their honest assessment.

Servpro came over to assess water damage I had in my basement. John and his crew were excellent doing the demo work as well as keeping me up to date with progress and the next steps. I would definitely recommend this company for your restoration. I will also use them going forward with my repairs.

Generally very good work, restoring our fire damaged items. Some things still smelled slightly smoky, but for the most part they did a really nice job. Everything was very carefully packaged and wrapped.

Fabian and the rest of the Servpro team were a tremendous help during a difficult time for our household. We had a water leak that made our entire main eating area unusable. Servpro was very professional in their work. All of the team members did a great job. If there was anything not done quite up to par, they would fix it. We had water damage in our kitchen and basement, and all the cabinets needed to be removed and the wood floor pulled up and redone. The project took 5 months to be completed.

My initial rating was for my initial contact with John Ruiz to assess the damage and schedule the remediation/repair for a burst water pipe. He was very professional, knowledgeable, and fully understood the history of the situation leading up to the frozen pipe issue.
Subsequently Jeremy Crago managed and scheduled the reconstruction after the remediation was completed. Remediation and reconstruction are done independently with 2 different project managers. The reconstruction job was done with quality and efficiency and maintained my 5 star rating initially given. Everyone was knowledgeable and supportive in getting the job done properly and did everything possible to satisfy me. They've met their slogan of repairing in a way that you would not know the problem ever occurred.

We are still in the midst of a burst water line damage remediation and reconstruction process. The SERVPRO team has been very professional. There are few areas that could be improved (packing process, communication of scope of work to be performed) but given the nature of this type of work SERVPRO is doing a great job so far. Thank you to Brad and his very capable team!

John Ruiz, Willie, and Manuel are a fantastic 10star team that set up the fans and dehumidifiers after a horrible flood within our home.
