After the elements of Hurricane Debby hit, my basement partially flooded. ServPro Bear answered my call immediately and scheduled me for first thing the next morning (I didn't reach out until 8pm!). My experience with Servpro has been terrible. I am a fire survivor and my house burned down about 8months ago. I was recently contacted by Servpro and I dealt with a lady named Carol. Who was rather nasty and threatening towards me. She was threatening me with collections, but this is the first time they reached out to me in 8months!!! Why do I have to give them the money immediately when this is the first time contacting me in 8months. And threatening to hurt my credit score for no reason, but just so they can. I even asked them earlier in the process for the invoice so I can have it for my records, but they never gave me one until today, so how am I supposed to even pay something I don’t even have an invoice for. I am very distraught and can’t believe the threats I received from Carol towards a fire survivor. I think Carol needs a lesson in empathy and customer service. I don’t think that is how business works where a business demands money without even an invoice. I am just so upset I had to call my therapist to deal with my emotional state because being in a house fire causes many traumas and PTSD. I thought I was past this, but then Carol calls and I try to work with her, but she doesn’t care. She reached out to my insurance company and left a message for them, not me. I was even so nice to try and give her another contact for the insurance company, but she didn’t want that, even though they are the ones to pay Servpro not me. Please Servpro if you can train your people to be a little more empathetic in all of this I am a very workable guy and will work with any situation but if somebody is being rude and obnoxious then it’s just not going to flow good for both parties. This is a large amount of money as well and I am not a rich person by any means, so if you only contact somebody once without an invoice and no prior calls directly to the person since I am not the owner of the insurance company, then what can I do, I can only look back at the situation that happened 8 months ago, why did you contact me 8 months ago even 7months ago if you really wanted me to pay the invoice, but no instead you just simply left a voicemail to the insurance company, didn’t even get into contact with them. And then you threaten the fire victim that lost everything.

I had what I thought was a simple repair from a water heater failure 2 years ago (Christmas Eve). Servpro was hired to fix my water damage which included resetting new dry wall and trim, new carpet and paint . The employee Robert who was assigned to the job had no clue what he was doing. He took a smoke break every 20 mins , took two dunkin runs each day , and managed to complete maybe 1.5 hours worth of work each day. He spent most of the time on his phone talking to family overseas. What was supposed to be a two week project took almost a year and a half to close. The first “completed” project was so terrible it was almost laughable and had to be redone entirely. The trim was wavy beyond belief , no prep work, imperfections EVERYWHERE. Not to mention the three broken outlets (how does this happen on dry wall work?), the ripped electric line that could have burned my house down, the scratched wood floors in my office that wasn’t even getting serviced ($3000 in damage and had to completely empty my office, load all furniture into storage unit and hire flooring guy to redo my Cherry hardwood floor) and the massive dusty mess that was never cleaned up. He even reset the drywall without making cutouts for the HVAC!! The air conditioning was literally blocked and blowing into the wall….. he acted like there was never vents in place and I was crazy. My house was a disaster for months like it was no big deal. Every correction took weeks to resolve with several phone calls. I got to a point where I was so fed up I agreed to just cut the bill in half and deal with the terrible job. They did attempt to fix Roberts horrible work, but it was still sub par. The trim is wonky, my fireplace is damaged , and every single area touched has an issue. Every day I look at the spotty/shadowed paint , loose carpet, wavy trim, expoed tape lines , damaged fireplace cement pad and just shake my head. Learn from my experience and make an educated decision on who works on your biggest asset. I chose servpro out of convenience during the pandemic and it was a major mistake. Every contractor that has seen their work has literally laughed in shock for how terrible their workmanship was.

Use servpro if you want them to work with your insurance company to give you the bare minimum. This office was playing games and flip flopping. And they actually had the nerve to call me to ask me why I left a bad review. Terrible experience. Find a smaller local company

Just want to say we appreciate your services. You all helped us out a lot when we lost your house to a fire. From start to finish great customer services.

We had a bad storm and my basement flooded. Servpro said they couldn't get to me so I bought a pump to get the water out. Later in the day they showed up after I had the water pumped out. They said they wouldn't do any work because the house sump pump was broken ( no plumbers availableat time). I hired another company but still got billed by servpro when they refused to do any work. Keep in mind I had an operational pump and that's how "I" got the water out. There are better non corporate options.

Servpro of Bear/New Castle are the best when it comes to restoration. They made my home look brand new. Shout-out to Roland and his professional team!

ServPro has been so amazing during a stressful, overwhelming time. We came home from vacation to a flooded bathroom that went down into our kitchen and dining room. Within a few hours of us being home and discovering the mess, an emergency team was here with fans and dehumidifiers and we’re back first thing in the morning. They assessed everything, started cleaning up, documenting everything for us for insurance and giving us a sense of calmness amongst chaos. Everyone that has been in our home from Servpro has been not only professional but polite, friendly and very communicative to us the whole process.

Picking up my wife at her work the other day in Newark and this guy is in the fire lane impeding traffic when I picked her up and when I dropped her off. Clearly not a fire truck, clearly not just doing a quick drop off. How unprofessional! At least some of the company trucks seen in the background parked respectably. Wouldn't be my first call.

Early in April our sump pump failed and water started backing up in our finished basement. I called a plumber and my insurance agent as water continued to build up in our basement. Then I called SERVPRO, based on my wife's recommendation. They came out very quickly (they even beat the plumber out whom I had called first). Devon and his colleague worked very efficiently to install a temporary sump pump, drain the 4 inches of water, and begin the restoration process. They did not leave until 6 hours later making sure we were taken care of.

How did it go you ask? Absolutely wonderful! From my very first interaction with this company, I just new my experience was going to be excellent!

They have a live person answering the phone, who would have thought company's now-a-days still have that? Not only was it an actual person, the women was so sweet. She was kind and helpful and went above and beyond to answer ALL of my questions. She was able to give me a price for the service i needed and she was able to get me on the schedule quickly!

The crew was timely. I received a call about 30 minutes ahead of time to let them know they were on the way to me. Talk about great customer service, right? They arrived with in the scheduled time frame, they were personable and thorough. They reviewed everything with me prior to starting service and after the work was done went over it with me to insure that i was happy with the work they completed.

It even gets one step better! They called the next day to follow up and make sure I was happy!

I called to get my carpets cleaned. The office staff was friendly and set my appointment up. The men came at scheduled time to clean the carpets and were very professional.

I had water damage in my basement from the hurricane. The crew came out moved all my contents from my wet basement, helped put the wet contents into dry tubs and sucked up all the water and dried my carpet. They actually saved my furniture, carpet and contents. Without the expedited service and knowledgeable crew this could have resulted in a loss of valuable items and lots of money. Please take a lesson from my experience and always remember to blow out candles before going to bed, or leaving your home. Never leave candles burning.

I left a candle burning that was sitting on top of wood burning stove after going to bed. The flame caused the decorative votive to catch fire and cause an unbelievable amount of thick, dark, smoke to pour throughout my entire house. The smoke detectors alarmed and woke us up to find our walls, carpets, drapes, and ceilings to be completely covered in smoke.
We did not have as much damage as there could have been.

The frightening experience was much less stressful to handle than I ever would have imagined. ServPro arrived and began cleaning the walls, ceilings, and carpets. I did not think the black smoke would ever disappear. ServPro team explained the different types of cleaners and sponges being used on different types of paint on our walls. It was like magic.
After just a few hours of clean up, our house was nearly back to the way it was.

THEY ARE THE BEST. Tree fell into my house during a storm got on the phone with them at 2pm, by 3:30 they had an electrician at my house by 4:00 had a contractor out removing the tree off my house and by 730 had roof tarped.

I cant say enough about Rich and the ladies in the office but thank you for a great job
