They got us in really quickly and helped quickly fix our broken ceiling fan and broken bedroom light. And our technician Michael was so kind as my 4 year old was watching and explained to him how he was fixing the issues! So sweet! Totally made his day and mine. Thanks, Michael!

I needed a 240 plug and braker installed for an induction range. I had used Sermon in the past and had excellent service the 2 previous times...so I called them up and they came the next day to give me an estimate which was extremely fair so I said OK and he took care of it right then. The job was wonderful. A friend of mine had a lesser know electrician do the same job and that electrician left them with a big hole in the wall and exposed 240 plug and claimed is was perfectly fine.
I had tech Michael Sermon do my work. He was extremely kind friendly and professional and went above and beyond and gave me great tips for the final change over from gas to induction.
I will always call Sermon for my repair needs.

Good Job Sermon!
We requested proposals from several electrical companies for installation of a RV receptacle and a 20 amp receptacle and from those we selected Sermon to perform the project . They weren't the lowest cost but were close to my pencil estimate plus they were available to complete the project sooner rather than later.

From arrival to look at what we needed done, providing a proposal, interfacing with the city permitting and inspection process, to completion of the work and communication with us; the Sermon personnel were very professional and efficient. The day the work was scheduled the two of them arrived between 8&9 as planned, they had the work well planned out, walked us through the planned work, efficiently completed the work with hardly any mess left behind, and 8 hours later walked us through the completed work. We turned the AC on in our trailer and voilà we can escape to air conditioned comfort in our trailer when it's super hot!!! They notified the city inspector that the installation was complete and this morning the city inspector inspected the work and approved it. Sermon provided us a copy of the city letter of notification for our records.

After sleeping in the basement for a few days because my house was 86 degrees, I called Sermon this morning to fix my air conditioner. Brody came out to Pocatello within a few hours. He checked a couple of things and then told me it was either the capacitor or I'd need a new AC. Since my system is 26 years old, I fully expected to be told I needed a new system. So many companies have tried to scam me in the past, telling me I have to buy a new furnace or septic system from them, only for me to find out from a second opinion that it's a simple repair. So I braced myself to hear "You need a new air conditioner." Instead, Brody had the capacitor on his truck and it worked! He fixed it so quickly!

He apologized that he still had to charge for an hour, even though it had been fixed in 20 minutes. So he asked if I had questions about anything else while he was there. He walked around the house with me as I asked about vents that don't get as much air power and how remodeling I'm considering for the future will affect air flow. He answered all my questions and I was so pleased to get some expert insight on upcoming projects.

The tech Brodie is great. I dont remember the name of the lady i spoke to in the office but she was also great. They didnt try to over charge. They didnt " find things to be wrong" i talked to 3 places before i got my AC fixed. Quotes from 2500$. Sermon fixed it for 500$ because they only fixed what was needed. This makes them trustworthy and thats what you need

Mike and Brittany came and fixed a problem with our sink plumbing. They were great to work with. Very clean and professional and worked fast. Their electrician Thomas has also been great to help update and fix electrical issues!

I called them as they we're referred to me. Just bought an older Mobile home. The HVAC under the house was destroyed by cats. Looked like a Slinky! I had three companies set for bids that day. Spent 20 minutes with Hunter and Ted? In short, totally impressed! Hired them in the spot, called the other two off. They went through all that was needed, explained in depth the issue. Set up two days later. On time, great work, great price, and me and wife are warm. Spent our first 5 days here in Idaho, freezing. . We thought from the damage it was going to be A LOT of . They did the repairs at a great price. TYVM Sermon boys!

We needed a wall heater moved in our basement family room to put a couch where it would have been in front of it. Bryant came over and gave us a bid. They came back this afternoon and installed a new heater and a new thermostat. They really cleaned everything up after they were finished and moved everything back in place. It was ice seeing how much care they took to clean up after they were finished.

I can't say enough how impressed I am with Kris, Austin, Travis and the other craftsman that were involved in my new furnace purchase and installation. This was a large project involving overhead unit heaters for an elementary school gym. I look forward working with them in upcoming projects for the district.

Very nice and knowledgeable people. I called Monday morning and they worked me in with my gas fireplace problem that morning. Travis the technician that came was able to fix the problem very quickly. He had to take the fake logs out to clean and adjust the pilot light. He restacked the logs and adjusted the air fuel mixture and it works better now than it ever has. So Travis took my gas insert from not working to working better than it ever has.

These guys were great. I had Mike Baker and Michael sermon come out to do electrical and plumbing on my house to get it ready to use as a rental. Both were very kind and competent. Couldn’t recommend them any higher than I am doing right now, as they were excellent! I highly recommend. Thanks guys! It was almost painless, and it was affordable.

Techs were prompt, professional, knowledgeable and communicated clearly about the issues, causes, prevention as well as what was needed to fix the issues. I love these guys! I use them for my home and business and won't go anywhere else! Kord is the bomb with plumbing! Courteous and prompt!
Chase is an amazing electrician! Friendly, Courteous, prompt, and did amazing work! He helped me find a new handyman too!
I won't call anyone for my electric and plumbing needs again!
Michael Sermon saved my bacon at home with my AC and furnace that are quite old! He found the issue which wasn't as bad as I thought it was and had my AC up and running better in under 2 hours!

$255 to change a doorbell transformer. When I asked why so much, I was told transformers are really expensive. They are $20 at any home store. Another tech completed a furnace service, took twice the time, total charge $79 great value.

That seems rather condescending, I am not looking for you to demonstrate anything. I am simply looking for fair trade. I highly doubt your journyman electrician makes $400/hr, the labor rate I was charged (I accounted for a 200% markup on the part).

Unfortunately, this is one of the worst businesses I have ever dealt with in my entire life. As a home owner and former contractor I was extremely disappointed at the poor level of service and unprofessionalism showed by this company.

They were contracted to run all new electric and install a brand new HVAC system in my residence. They mistakenly installed the incorrect wire throughout the entire residence. Because of this the work failed to pass code and was rejected by the inspector. Sermon refused to respond to calls about the problem and we had to hire another contractor to take over the project, rip out everything Sermon had done and replace with all new wire. This wound up costing us a tremendous amount of money and extra time on the project.

After this incident we still had to deal with Sermon for the HVAC work that was done on the property. Sermon installed outdated thermostats in the residence and did not inform me that the thermostats they had quoted were being changed to a new version by the manufacturer. I questioned Sean Hansen (HVAC Manager) about the fact that I was having trouble connecting the thermostats to my phone via WiFi and that the app provided by the manufacturer seemed to be outdated and replaced by a new one that works with the new thermostats. He was dismissive, rude and told me he was done with me and there was nothing he was going to do.

This is probably only the second time I've ever written a poor Google review about a business I've used. I don't enjoy hurting small businesses as I am a small business owner myself but when they hurt individual consumers and leave them hanging out to dry I think it's best the public knows what type of people they are.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU LIKE TO BE RIPPED OFF!!!

The receptionist was helpful and was able to get a tech out the same day to address an issue. The tech was able to diagnose the issue rather quickly. The motor on a unit needed to be replaced and I was quoted $2200 to get a motor rebuilt since there was a 4-6 week lead time for a new one. I have had it replaced before so knew that it was around $250 for a brand new one. I told the tech I was going to use my resources to see if I can find it elsewhere. I was able to find one locally brand new for $240 and was told by the supplier that this motor can’t be rebuilt. When I called Sermon Service back to talk to a manager, I was helped by receptionist who said they had called the same company where I picked up the motor from. These guys were probably going to buy that new motor and charge me $2200 for a $250 motor. I understand that supply chains are backed up and product isn’t available but this company uses that excuse to rip people off. I had someone else install the motor rather than call them back. Received the bill for the service call which was $250 ($99 service call and $149 first hour) which is on the higher end of a service call for a HVAC company. Use at your own risk.

REPLY TO OWNER COMMENT 10/7/2021: Since your company did call the wholesaler I bought the motor from, I am sure you are aware that they are an authorized dealer and their parts come with a warranty. The motor was in stock locally and was replaced with the same exact one that went bad. I wonder how your company was going to get the bad motor rebuilt that couldn't even be rebuilt because of its specs? Something doesn't add up.

Called for a tune up on my AC. The office worked with my schedule as well as Mother Nature's. They followed up and kept great communication to complete the service call timely. Technicians were friendly and knowledgeable and upfront about the cost. I appreciate the fact they did not try to sell me anything I did not need. Job well done.

Honest prices, responsive, and Amy offered loaner heaters since the part I need is several days out. I've dealt with Sermon numerous times over the past few years, and they have been friendly, fair, honest, and very prompt.

I was very pleased with Sermon. From the phone call to set up the appt Amy was very friendly and answered any questions. I called around 9:30am and she said she could have a tech out today after 1. I got a call around 11:30am and he was on his way. Wyatt was great!!! Very professional and explained everything. No pressure at all just explained what all was going on made some recommendations. I would definitely recommend this company to any!!! Thank you!!!

We had Sermon put electricity out in our garage. They gave us the lowest bid out of the 3 we had come out, they were professional, got the whole thing done in 1 day, and did exactly what we wanted. They also showed up on time which some people seem to struggle with these days. Ted and Travis do good work. Our only disappointment (reason for 4 stars, not 5), was they left a mess for us to clean up from their work. Left old wiring and an old light, some wood scraps and pieces lying around that they had to cut out of the walls. Thought they’d leave it clean. But overall, we are happy.

Our AC stopped working end of last summer. Travis came out to look at it today. Luckily it was just the capacitor that needed replacing. We're very pleased with how quickly it was fixed & how inexpensive. We'll definitely use Sermon from now on.

You guys do poor quality work just fixed your 3 in exhaust that was 2 feet away from your 6"120v fresh air and 6" combustion. You could of really hurt the family in the house hold with the exhaust coming back into the house. Luckily after 8 years of headaches every winter this will be there first without them do to poor quality work installs. Dont be lazy get the job done right!!!!

Mr. Kord came out and fixed our drain and garbage disposal. He was kind, curtious, and caring. He answered our questions and fixed our problem in less than an hour. I would absolutely recommend Sermon and Mr. Kord.

SS&E replaced my furnace today and very happy with the customer service from Perry and Matt. Perry went though my options and provided competitive pricing over the phone with no hidden cost. Furnace was ordered that day and installed by Matt the next day. Installation and customer interaction by Matt was very professional. Very polite and took extra time to answer all of our questions. Would recommend SS&E to anyone.

After 4 years the blower motor went out. Called SS&E and confirmed under warranty. Anthony installed within the time frame expected and answered all questions. Another great experience with SS&E.

At work, we've had issues with our heating and air conditioning for quite some time - pretty much a year. We had Sermon send a technician over the other day to look into what was wrong, and within a short visit, they were able to quickly determine our zone settings were not setup properly (by the last company that serviced the system) and correct it. Now, just in time for the cold, we actually have a working heating system.

The technician was quick and thorough, and did a great job explaining what he did to correct the problem!

1-No estimate was given.
2-The electrician seemed to be either going as slow as possible or didn't know what he was doing.
3-He took 9.5 hours to remove two light fixtures and install a ceiling fan and fixture.
4-He left twice and when I went outside I found him sitting in truck. He didn't itemize bill so I have no idea if he charged me for the time he was sitting in truck.
5-Dry wall crew felt he should drill holes for new fixtures before they started so they could fill in if hole was too big. However electrician insisted on drilling after the dry wall was finished and painted.
6-Hole was too big.
7-After the light fixture was installed he told me to take it down and use a ceiling medallion to cover up the hole. I asked if this would mean I would have to unwire and rewire, he said, "yes but it's not hard."
8-He didn't itemize bill.
9-He asked me to make check out to someone other than Sermon.
10-He told me I should get my husband to take some electrical courses so I don't have to pay for service in future. I'm not married.

Nothing but good to say about these guys. I have several rentals and the furnace started acting up in one of them. My regular heating people could not come out for a few days. I called Sermon and the lady answering the phone said someone could be out the same day. Work was preformed as requested that afternoon. Ted Sermon himself addressed a billing question I had and adjusted it accordingly. I will definitely use Sermon's again in the future.

I called Sermons because a neighbor of mine referred me to them. I woke up one morning and realized we had no heat to our house because half of the power was out in our home. We have a six month old baby and it was the middle of December and freezing! They were able to get to me that day and were very friendly. I would recommend them to anyone!

A $99 service call turned into a $277 fiasco! I just wanted my furnace serviced. The guy came out and got to work. It was taking a long time and I heard him on the phone many times. I had told him our heat would randomly shut off and so I assumed he was checking into that. After a long long while, he tells me I need a new furnace. WHAT?! It's only 3 years old! He said I had a cracked heat exchange and I should get him the number of the manufacturer so he could check on warranties. I give him the number and he goes out to his service vehicle to make calls. He's out there for quite some time and then another guy from Sermon shows up and in 15 minutes figures out that I DON'T have a cracked heat exchange, I had a toy tucked into the outside vent. A fix that took all of 15 minutes, not the 3 HOURS this other guy took. Ted at Sermon defended the outrageous fee his technician gave me saying it was part of their job to check heat exchanges. He obviously did not understand why I was upset and had checking the heat exchange been part of their job, then why did I pay 3 times as much as they told me in the first place! I feel that had a more experienced technician had come to my home first, this would not have happened. So so disappointed with the way I was treated. Ted's letter regarding my dissatisfaction treated me like I was some kind of moron. Basically I got charged for some technician's lack of ability. It took so long, not because the problem demanded it, but because he did not know what he was doing. Never using Sermon again.

Very knowledgeable technicians, and fair price. I had a furnace put in by another company 7 years ago, and when I woke up to a freezing house, I got on the phone, and called the original installation company. After the phone rang for nearly a minute, I was greeted with a full mailbox, and couldn't leave a message. The first company that popped in to my head was Sermon. I called well before 8 and the phone was answered immediately. I explained the situation, and tried to give her all the information I could think of, like the fan was running, but no heat etc. I was placed on a brief hold, and when she came back, was told that she could have somewhere there right away, and that no heat calls are placed on high priority. 20 minutes later, the technician showed up to my house. I had to go to work, but felt comfortable with leaving the technician alone in the house after calling back, and personally talking to Ted, the owner of the company. 45 minutes later, the technician called me, explaining what was wrong, the cost of repair, and guaranteed the heat would be on within a couple of hours. I went home an hour and a half later to check on his progress, and found him out at his van, filling out the bill. The problem stemmed from poor maintenance on the furnace, and besides the filters, there are other parts on the furnace that need to be maintained. I had no idea. The bill seemed fair, and I had heat. They come highly recommended, and I will use them for any other issue I have. A++++

Handled concerns well. We had questions about the service and our bill and we were able to speak with Mr. Sermon himself about our concerns. He was very calm and was able to answer our questions knowledgeably and satisfactory. They were under a lot of pressure with the change of seasons and holidays, mistakes happen, and how a company handles these mistakes really reveals a company's commitment to integrity.
