We just completed and turned on our solar panels from Savkat solar at our home here in Naugatuck CT., when we called, we were directed to Jordan Bernstein. He walked us through every step of the way. our first meeting was on May 27th 2025, no pressure at all, my wife and I discussed this in detail later that weekend. After calling them back our install was on June 23rd and 24th, our inspection was on June 27th. After inspection we waited for Eversource for about 2 weeks who changed our meters and gave us the all clear to turn them on.
I could not be more satisfied, the roofers worked in 100* degree weather without one complaint, our electricians connected everything and did not mind a complicated install, and here we are less than 2 months and we are generating power!!!

Recently had solar installed on my home by Savkat. I'd talked to several solar companies previously and always felt I wasn't quite getting the full story.

I got a completely different feeling with Savkat - specifically Dakota and Jordan with whom I worked. They were very knowledgeable, transparent, a patient as we went through all my questions and, from the beginning through installation and now operation, everything went exactly as they told me it would.

I couldn't have asked for anything more.

Like so many, we were on the fence about going solar. Dustin, did an amazing job with presenting all of the information to us and answering all of our questions. The process was smooth and simple. We never felt pressured and always had someone available to answer any questions that came up! Every member of the team has been amazing and efficient. So happy we found Savkat :)

My experience working with everyone at SavKat was completely positive. Trip, salesperson, was extremely helpful, courteous and knowledgeable. He answered all my questions and returned calls quickly. Kim and Julie, my contacts at SavKat throughout installation, were also extremely responsive and helpful. The installation crew started work in the rain, and had the job done in two days. Let me start by saying the solar panels and installation process were excellent. I have now had my panels for a couple of years, and they have functioned and worked as expected, and I have been more than happy with the investment I made in that regard. If I had not had the issues I have had recently with monitoring, this would absolutely be a 5 star review. For around 6 months now, my monitoring system has been reporting numbers that do not make any sense. It is a SunPower system, and I understand they have since gone bankrupt, but my biggest disappointment is in the lack of follow-up and support from SAVKAT. I have reached out to contact SAVKAT multiple times over the past few months and have received limited information and no communication from some people who worked on my install. Considering that during the purchasing process, they talk about the support and assistance they will provide, I am receiving nothing and am beyond frustrated at this point. I have even contacted the general line and email, and am getting nothing to resolve this issue. I have referred multiple people to SAVKAT, and I am embarrassed at how this is being handled. I have received more information and assistance from other solar companies, who could not believe SAVKAT is not helping with this.

My experience with SavKat Solar has been outstanding! As a first time solar panel user, I had a million questions, and Dak, my Sales Rep and go to guy, consistently served as an invaluable resource. His expertise, patience, and comprehensive knowledge were truly remarkable. We had solar panels installed on our home by Savkat Solar about a year and a half ago, and the experience from start to finish has been nothing short of exceptional. Brad Sedito and his team not only led us through the entire process with professionalism and clarity, but they’ve stood by us every step of the way—even long after the installation was complete.

As first-time solar customers, we had a lot of questions and uncertainty going in, but Brad truly went above and beyond. He walked us through each stage, explained everything in detail, and made sure we felt confident and informed throughout the journey. I held off on going solar because the ridgeline of my home runs north-south and without a south-facing surface I assumed that any solar production would be minimal. I waited a couple of years after my first contact with Jordan from SavKat but with Eversource always raising their rates and the CEO now making $400k a week I decided to look into solar again and I'm happy to say I made the right choice. We interviewed 4 companies including SavKat but having had an associate who used SavKat and they came in with a competitive price and were offering quality mounting racks and were willing to hide as much of the electrical as possible we made the decision to go with SavKAt.

The results are far better than my low expectations . The site visit went smoothly with no surprises other than they found room for one more panel which we happily accepted. The install all happened on one day which involved the crew clearing snow off the roof to be able to install. The installers did a great job and cleaned up after themselves. No screws on the driveway and minimal electrical debris.

Now for the good part. Our system produces much more than we expected, even on cloudy days.In the 2 weeks we have had the system, and it's spring now, March 21st, we have produced more than we are using. I fully expect the system will handle the summer cooling season and provide a nice offset to the winter heating season.

All in all we had a great experience with SavKat and will be recommending them to anyone who will listen.

I’ve been through the solar installation process before, and it wasn’t a great experience. This time, I was wary, asked a ton of questions, and made sure to go over every possible scenario. Trip from Savkat Solar was easy to talk to, an expert in his field, and always one step ahead with answers. He never hesitated and made me feel confident in the process.

The crew that showed up finished the job in one day, much faster than my last experience. They were professional, polite, and cleaned up after themselves. They respected my home, which goes a long way.

On top of all that, I talked to my neighbor, who also just got solar, and I got a much better contract than he did. Same sun, better deal. If you are considering solar, Savkat is the company to go with.

04/15/2025 - The next step of this installation has now been competed. The solar panels were installed on my roof quickly (in one day) and efficiently. Scott and Zaire, the electricians, have competed the hook up of the system and all seems to be working efficiently. They have been kind, listening & explaining things to me, with all of my questions. I truly appreciate that they helped me understand how the system needs to be installed and connected. ... Next will be inspections and then the turning on of the system. ... Looking forward to that!

So far I have had a very positive experience with Savkat Solar and their process for installing solar panels on my roof. The communication and listening skills of Jordan and Jeff were very professional. Damon was here today to do the Site Survey. He answered all my many questions with patience and taught me about what I didn't understand. I am very impressed with this company.

I have been in discussions with Dustin Wolfe regarding my interest in Solar for several years. Interactions started in Bristol Talks Facebook chat where I was inquiring on neighbors experiences and feedback. He was always forthcoming with honest answers whether it was pro-Solar or not, he eased my apprehension and made himself available for any questions I had. For some reason or another, it just never worked out that we moved forward with an install, whether my husbands hesitancy with installing on roof, credit score, etc.

Dustin recently reached out to me regarding a new company he is working for and wanted to revisit our design and plan based on new programs and technology. We met in person for the first time in years (thanks to COVID) and he gave us the background on the company, showed us his proposed plan using the new programs available. He explained the finance options and provided his recommendation, this was huge to me as we are all looking to save a buck, and Eversource is raking us all through the coals. I want to just pay for my own electricity, I'm not paying for neighbors who aren't paying their bills!!

We have heard recent horror stories with even some family friends whose panels caught their home on fire, so of course we wanted to understand technology advancements, warranties, company experience / issues, etc.

I think it was the fact that Savkat is a local Bristol company, family owned, and not a corporate conglomerate. This fact on top of answering my husbands questions, overcoming his concerns, Dustin actually sold my husband on moving forward with solar.

We are just at the early stages, setting up the site survey and energy audit, but I am so glad we waited and have connected with a family company, to which we are not just an account number.

I will definitely update my review as we move forward in the process, but I just want to thank Dustin for being a partner in this for the last several years, and to thank Savkat for being a local, family owned company and offering corporate conglomerate products with the personal touch. I look forward to partnering with both in the months to come.

I have been thinking about a Solar project for two years. I will say the entire team From Marlis who I spoke with initially and then with Jordan Bernstein, the last couple of weeks from contract negotiation to install plans he was very helpful in this whole process. The system that they designed was going to be adequate, but at this time, I’m not ready for the commitment. I give them four stars for their customer service, Jordan has always been excellent communicator thank you SavKat

We installed a system with SavKat in May, 2023 that has provided for all the energy in the house: electric heat and cooling, HW, clothes drying, and cooking. We have not paid an electric bill since the system was installed. We have also been very satisfied with the support we have received over the last 18 months.

My Wife and I had SAVKAT install Solar on our home: the team did an excellent job. They did an outstanding job on the installation, were fast, professional and the installled solution looks great. I have been very satisfied with my experience at SAVKAT Solar. They were easy to work with, knowledgeable, and flexible. We had chosen Sunpower for our solar installation. This was in April 2024 immediately prior to their bankruptcy and restructuring. SAVKAT was assigned as our installer. We reached the point of final inspection on 16JUL24, the same day Sunpower issued a stop work on all solar installations. SAVKAT eventually finished the work without waiting for Sunpower approval to move forward allowing us to begin producing power. I credit this effort entirely to SAVKAT and the Mystic Solar company. Thanks!

Long story short up front, the SavKat installers and salesperson were great. Communication between those events was not.

I'll do my best to provide a fair review.

Starting with sales. My salesperson, Steve, was very responsive and professional, and definitely had a good grasp on what he was doing. I had called Tesla as well and the person I spoke to clearly had no idea which gave me zero confidence. I think if I were to provide any feedback it would be that the sales material is somewhat unintentionally misleading... It speaks to Maxeon panels, which were not used in my install. A minor difference but just something that could be corrected. Another thing that could be better, and every company does this, is the price after the federal tax rebate is provided as the big number. But you don't get that until you file your taxes the next year. So you're fronting the full amount.

For the planning of the install, I received the detailed drawings and all my questions were answered. But I think this is where the communication could be improved for the company. One example I can think of is I stated I did not want any unnecessary holes in the roof. I wanted conduit run from the panels to the box not through my attic. I was told that standard and the installers can handle that as the detail was not on the drawing. On the installers showed up they asked after access to my attic, showing that no no was made in the account.

For installation, it seems like everything was done very well according to my inspector. Obviously I am not a solar installer so I can't comment directly, however things look neat and clean and my town inspector said it was a very good job. Prior to install though again communication I think was insufficient. I saw that the town permit was approved a week and a half prior and I got no notification. I called SavKat and immediately and install was scheduled. I was told the job would be done on Monday. When the people arrived they said half of it would be done on Monday and the other half on Tuesday. Then after they left I was called and told that something came up and they couldn't show up on Tuesday, so it would be Thursday. It was all completed on Thursday. The one issue I'm still not happy with is the ground wire. It's basically on the surface still, and I have my lawn aerated pretty much every year so I'm a bit concerned that it could be punctured. I pointed this out but it was not fixed.

After install, it was waiting for town inspections and eversource to do their thing. Again, communication at the office was really the issue. As it took just as long for the inspection to actually be scheduled as it did for the town to come out and do it. The person who does the scheduling was apparently out for a medical issue, I had called and asked if anyone else could do it to which there was no response and eventually she came back and did it. After eversource did their thing, I got permission to turn on and my system was up and running.

I did have some issues with the monitoring box. For over a month at read numbers that didn't make sense at all. For example it would say I was providing more to the grid than I was producing, or my stated usage would go up based on how much energy was being produced, it would read numbers that just couldn't be possible based on years worth of bills. After several calls to SunPower, they eventually fixed it remotely somehow. SavKat did come out to look at it and the tech agreed that the numbers it was producing didn't make any sense.

I think my most negative experience was with accounting. After the panels were installed but before they were active I was asked to sign the completion form yet I didn't have my certificate to operate yet. He was extremely unprofessional and literally had a temper tantrum over the phone.

One last thing, with SunPower collapsing, I would have thought SavKat would send an email reassuring customers their equipment was covered by manufacturer warranty. No such communication yet.

SAVKAT Solar was the second company from whom I sought an estimate and the difference was immediately apparent. The company later proved to be exceptional with the installation that I am now enjoying. SAVKAT has a system for all aspects of the process: initial estimation, engineering design, mechanical and electrical installation, and coordination with Town and utility. Systematic business procedures is a sign of a well run business. Moreover, their warranties and product quality are excellent.

I recommend highly this choice for a solar installation.

A year ago I was originally going to go with Trinity but went with Savkat based on a recommendation of a friend and I'm extremely glad I listened. The process to was very smooth..I met with Aiden who we talked about what Savkat and Sunpower offered compared to what Trinity could . Trinity was only able to guarantee me 91 percent coverage of my electricity while Savkat was able to cover my home for a little over 100 percent. This made a huge difference in my electric bill, especially since in the Summer. Having a few kids, Air conditioning and a pool would lead to bills around 500 to 600 a month in the summer but now im only paying 200 for my panels. Also my system has produced more than enough electricity to cover me for the rest of the year. With the electricity prices constantly rising I'm glad I made the decision to go solar.

Mitch came to my home and thoroughly explained the system, the solar program and he was efficient, friendly, and saved me money with the solar panels. My experience with Mitch and Savkat was great and we appreciate all the team's efforts.

I have yet to have multi-day power outage since installing 2-13.5 kwh SunVault batteries. During winter months I leave fully charged since sun & possible snow cover will impede solar production, so a fail-safe. Now that better weather is here and not worried about freezing pipes, I am running the batteries overnight to power the home.

So far, has the SunVault system has been working great with balancing the battery, grid and solar production usage in the home. I use about 50% of the batteries (one battery) each evening and it is typically charged up by 11 am local time, a little later on the cloudy days (yes, arrays still produce). My system is sized enough to power home on all but the darkest days where the battery supplements. If we get multiple days of rain, then I'm back on the grid using some of the credits I have stored at Eversource after the batteries are 100% recharged each day.

I have no idea when the SunVault system switches to battery from the grid and vice versa, no issues with any electronics in the home when it does and it works in the "normal" daily living space fantastically.

I will update this review if my micro-grid fails during a multi-day grid power outage as it is my expectation the solar array will not be shut down so the house and batteries can use the produced electricity until the grid is repaired. This is the real reason I got the batteries as we had a 2018 summer Tropical Storm knock out power for 6-days and it was sunny for 5 of those days but my solar array was useless without a battery system attached. Fingers crossed this works as promoted and promised.

The staff was great at every step of the sales, install and post-install support process as there are always questions and weird things with electricity that sometimes needs a call. Thank you Jordan, my install team and Kim for helping and teaching me about the system. SavKat is a local, family-owned operation that is simply the best, highly recommend talking to them before going too far into your solar planning.

Avoid if you want a system in a reasonable period of time. There are other operators in the area. It took 7 months when I was told 8 weeks to 3 months. They have too many customers. And no, the delays were not due to getting permits. They were granted right away and the inspection also was done promptly. They don't have enough electricians (this SAVCAT told me when they delayed for 1of the months). Nor was there too much of a delay from Eversource. There was a wait of a couple of weeks, but that I was told about in advance so they were not the primary problem. After all of those delays, Savcat didn't advise me that something needed to be signed after the installation. They are now threatening me several months later that they will turn off my system if I don't sign a document that was never previously mentioned. I have left a message, but hopefully they won't arbitrarily turn off my system.

Don't misunderstand me, despite exorbitant prices going solar was the right thing to do, but I would recommend seeking out other service providers before signing.

I will be reporting this to the Green Bank, Eversource, Sun Power and the St of CT.

I am extremely impressed with the entire Savkat Team- from my first contact with Marlis who is extremely knowledgeable. She explained everything in detail. There was no need for me to look any further. Install went very smoothly. Even my neighbors were impressed how quickly everything was completed. I highly recommend SavKat Solar.

My wife and i were on the market for solar to reduce the high electric bills. We reviewed and contacted several companies before making a final decision to go with SunPower. SunPower sent us one of their elite installers Savkat. We meet with Brad our rep who was awesome, polite, and respectful. He was able to answer all of our questions and even enlightened us with the difference in panels, converters, and install options that were available to us. He took his time and made sure we were well informed and most importantly did not pressure us to make a final decision. He stayed in touch with us from the beginning of the process until today making sure we are happy with our system. He even came by during the install process to see how things were going and if we had any questions. Brad was our go to person (project manager) through out this process, which made it a smooth and panels transition.

During the install process my wife and i were extremely and pleasantly astonished of the professionalism and safety of the crew, from the installers to the electricians upgrading our fuse panel to 200amps. The installers made sure they were strapped up from head to toe to make sure they and the equipment did not fall off the roof. The electricians John Mar., David Rob., and Almir were awesome, they made sure we were informed on what was happening and the time length to completion. They were very informative polite and educational with the questions i would ask them through out the day. Even before our final inspection form the city, SavKat sent out Edwin P. to due a final review of the project and tidy up any loose ends to make sure the final certification did not have any issues which would cause delays. Over all we have not a group of people with so much professional, respect, kindness, and loved what they were doing.

In the end of it all we were are extremely pleased and thrilled we selected SunPower and Savkat as the installers. They have done an amazing job, words cannot describe how pleased we are and thankful for the work ethics, safety, communication, education and follow through. Did i mention we are also able to track how much solar is being produced at any given moment of the day as well as what is coming in and out from the electrical grid and solar system. I would highly recommend SavKat and SunPower to my family and friends.

I wanted to sign up for the RECs that Eversource was offering in 2023 before time was up. Marlis was on top of the project and accessible the whole time. She was able to get the contract and interconnection submitted to Eversource within a few days after I signed the contract (end of Dec near holidays) to make sure I made the cut! Other companies told me they would not be able to complete it in time.

Only compliant was the confusion on the day of the planned install forced them to finish the job a week later. It worked out after the town agreed the brackets Savkat already placed on the roof would not need to be moved. Either way, the entire solar project finished ahead of schedule. I would def recommend Savkat!

From the first visit to installation to flipping the switch, the process has been good. I searched companies and felt Savkat was a reliable company. So far so good!

My salesman Brad was great. Great thing about him was he came to my house to review to entire solar plan going on my roof.

Just arrived at my customers house to this solar installation that looks like it was done by a second year apprentice. Multitude of code violations some serious safety concerns. To boot it passed electrical inspection by the AHJ. Probably another drive-by inspection. Rest assured the Town will hear about it and so will the solar manufacturer so they will be aware of what quality their installers are. SAVKAT left this customer holding the bag for multiple thousands of dollars in needed corrective repairs.
The truth about solar has to be raised and homeowners need to hire third party inspectors, otherwise they will be left with more costs after the installs.

My wife and I talked about getting solar panels. My sister had them in stalled last year and she RAVED about this company. She contacted Marlis Lovelace and asked her to visit us. I could not have asked for a better representative to deal with.

There is absolutely nothing negative about our entire experience with Marlice or her company, Savkat. They came on the agreed upon date (March 1, 2024) and installed the system. The installers were professional and courteous. They arrived on time and completed the job. I would gladly recommend Savkat to family and friends. At this point we are just waiting for the final inspection so we can start using the panels.
I read the two negative reviews and based on the hundred positive reviews and our own positive experience, it is completely obvious that these two people are from Kavkat’s competition or just incompetent people who would be a company’s nightmare to deal with.

The entire process is lengthy and requires different stages of completion. We first met with Marlice at the end of November 2023. Once agreeing to sign on, there are several documents that need to be signed with SunPower Financing to see if you qualify for the leasing program. We completed those the next day.
We also received an email that next day from Jasmine at Savkat , outlining the entire solar process in steps. I must stress here that the ENTIRE process went exactly as Jasmine outlined.

On December 20, 2023, we received documents to review and sign from Jim Ferrughelli, regarding the approval of our utility company, United Illuminating Company, which as stated, takes 4 to 6 weeks. This went as planned as we signed and forwarded the documents. All documents involved were “esigned” to expedite the process. We also received a copy of the signed documents for our records from Jim.

The very next day, we received a confirmation email from United Illuminating (UI) confirming their receipt of our signed documents from Jim. Which means he sent them out right away.
Savkat called me to schedule an appointment to inspect our house for drafts etc.
On December 23, 2023, we received an email from Home Doctor of America confirming our appointment date. We also received emails from UI every time any correspondence happened between UI and Savkat. These exchanges helped us stay informed as to where we stood in the process.

On January 30, 2024, Home Doctor of America inspectors came out to our house as scheduled. These two gentlemen, Robert G. and Alejandro could not have been any friendlier or more professional. Their inspection process was explained to me, and they even sealed off my doors and windows where air was coming into the house.

We were scheduled to have the panels installed on February 29, 2024 by Connecticut Installations but the snowstorm put a damper on that. We rescheduled and they were installed March 1, 2024.

The delay from the inspection date to the installation date appeared to be due to last-minute requests for data from the UI Company. Once we were approved, the installation date was scheduled.
I also want to compliment the coordination of the support staff Kelsey Shockey who called me this week to follow up on how the entire process went and if I had any questions or concerns.

I wrote this lengthy review so that anyone considering getting solar panels will know it is not a short process. This was thoroughly explained to us by Marlice at our very first meeting. Also, to document the fact that we were kept informed of the process’s progression at every step of the process. This is just further proof of the professionalism shown by all those involved.

Again, I would not hesitate to recommend Savkat, Sunpower and House Doctor of America. I would also recommend that you ask for Marlice Lovelace for your salesperson as her presentation was flawless and in truth, it was her professionalism, knowledge and overall presentation that “sold” us on her company.

My family and I have wanted to install solar on our home for years, but unfortunately were never able to do so until our recent move. Our new home is perfectly situated for solar, so I started searching for a solar company in the tail end of December 2023. I wound up with two options, one of which was SavKat Solar, and made appointments with both companies. Jay from SavKat came out to our house on 12/26/2023 and spent several hours explaining EVERYTHING to me in great detail. He reviewed whether or not my house was a good fit for solar and why, then went over the different system sizes that are available and the warranties that go with each one. He explained the entire installation process from start to finish, including how long each of the steps in the process usually takes, and worked with me to figure out how many panels my family and I would need, as well as what the best location for each panel would be. He was open and honest about pricing and repayment options, and thoroughly answered and addressed each and every one of my questions and concerns. And when my daughter came home from work, he even spent extra time explaining everything to her! Neither one of us felt rushed or pressured into making a decision. He made us both feel extremely comfortable about asking him questions, and made sure that we understood everything. He told us to reach out to him with any questions we thought of after he left, and even e-mailed us all of the information that he spoke with us about so that we could review it and make a decision in our own time. Talk about service! I can't say the same about the other company. Jay also invited us to take a tour of the SavKat facilities, which I did on 1/3/2024. While there, I met multiple employees - including the owner - who were not only kind, but also quick to answer all of the questions that I had as well. After talking things over with my family, we decided to request an additional 3 panels so that we could be sure that we had enough wattage, and both Jay and the employees at SavKat were more than willing to accommodate our request. We signed a contract with them that day. Each and every step of the entire project happened faster than Jay had led us to expect, part of which might have been due to the fact that not a lot of people install solar in the beginning of the year. When the solar panels themselves were installed, every one of the employees were nice, quick, and efficient, and everything was explained to my family and I after it was done. Our new electric meters were installed today, so I'm hoping that we'll get permission to operate tomorrow. I can't say enough wonderful things about everyone at SavKat, especially Jay. Every time I've reached out to Jay, even when he was on a business trip, he has been extremely responsive, no matter how small my question might seem, and I was never once spoken down to or made to feel like I should know something that I didn't. If I could work with SavKat forever, I would. I wish more companies were as amazing as they are!

We researched and compared companies before choosing Sun Power & Savkat. The overall process was smooth and consistent, from the initial consultation with Jordan Bernstein, review and explanation of the terms, expectations for monthly savings, project installation and completion, and the final activation. The only delays were because of UI (notice to activate the system from United Illuminating). The work was done professionally and completed quickly. Jordan Bernstein walked us through the process and answered all of our questions. We are very happy!

SAVKAT's customer service is outstandingly poor. They agreed with my initial installation plan then later renegged on key issues after the contract was signed. They do not keep in contact, provide updates, or perform the due diligence of coordinating with manufacturers or local installers. They have not developed a final plan, or sought town or electric utility approvals. I have called, emailed, and used the website to request they contact me . Abandonment and failure to follow their stated process has delayed the expected November '23 installation.it us now February '24. The inflated ideas regarding customer service on the website have not been upheld. Without following their stated process they attempted to unilaterally breach the contract. They say we are not a hood fit. I fulfilled all my obligations and more. It is SAVKAT who has dropped the ball, failed to do their due diligence, and disrespectfully failed to maintain cintact and provide requested updates. I have been shunted from one person to the other in management and sdminisyrstion. I am sure if I tried to abandon my contractual obligations there would be consequences. Additionally they are holding my deposit ransom unless I agree to their censorship and coercion of my freefom of speech and revoke my review. They won't let me speak to Steve Salansky to resolve this. SAVKAT needs to demonstrate their best possible customer service centric excellence and follow through with their contractual obligations.

We had a great experience from our first informational visit with our salesperson Jordan to his thoughtful check-in 3 months after installation. Install team was friendly and efficient. Office helped us secure Green Bank financing. Minor issues were found during the inspection, but the SAVKAT team quickly fixed and there was no delay in getting our system online. Our install was in the fall so we are looking forward to some real generation in the spring/summer. Thanks!

I recently had my solar panels installed by Savkat Solar. The sales person Brad was very helpful and so were all of the staff at Savkat in getting approvals, permits and scheduling. The installation teams were good also. The electrical technicians were a pleasure to deal with and coordinated with the panel installation crew during the installation. Now all that’s left is an inspection and getting the system tuned on by the utility company.

We are so pleased with SAVKAT. The initial timely interview blew away all the competition that we had met. No questions were left unanswered, we felt like we were listened to and our unique situation was considered.

We had a solar system installed on our home. The entire experience was very easy. The sales person was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. The main reason why we went with Savkat is because they are not a middleman. They have in-house electricians and installers and handle the entire project from start to finish. I did not want to deal with multiple parties if there was an issue during or after the install. Overall we are very happy with our system. The loan payment is significantly less than our monthly electric bill.

The install team worked quickly and efficiently. The electricians (Matt and Angel) did excellent work which I am very impressed with. My existing 200 amp panel had to be relocated because my sanitary line ran directly in front of it. Not only did they clean up the messy work that was done by a previous contractor/house owner, but they gave me a brand new panel.

The install went without a hitch and the guys were very neat and methodical in their work. I have watched many electricians work and have seen some really bad work done but Savkat was very impressive when it came to their wiring skills and organization of the wiring they did. Very nice work, I could not have done it better myself. Believe me when I tell you as a millwright for much of my life I have seen some stuff done by so-called pros that was not even up to code. Savkat's crew are not in that category. Great Job Guys.

We went through our share of solar installers till we got with Savkat. We went from a company who was very competent with nice sales agents but simply did not have the products we needed, through one (not going to name it, just let's say it started with sun and ened with run) where the seller was a borderline car salesman type, who flat out lied in our faces on questions we knew the answer to which we tested him with.

Then we got to Savkat. The funny part was that initially the contact was difficult, with my enquiries falling through the cracks. Then I decided to give them one last call, got Cameron on the phone and it has been a smooth roll from there.

To put it simply:

- They wrapped a reroofing in the contract, as our shingles needed replacement before the panels get installed. This was done by a separate local company who provided stellar service and worked very fast.
- They moved through all the permits at cosmic speeds. They told us to reasonably expect about three to four weeks - local permits were ready in twelve days.
- Install was fast and went well. All modules were integrated as neatly as they could.

- More than an year in, the system works exactly as described, and we got exactly what we were told to expect. Cameron is always available and has addressed all my little phone inquiries in a most patient way.

All in all - the whole process was painless, informative, and we were guided through all of it. The price was better than the other companies we inquired with first. I'm not sure if the price is low or high compared to national average, but it was good for our area.

I have referred friends to them, and they are happy campers as well. Their system is way beefier than ours (they went for the maximum possible number of pannels allowed before it starts being considered a commercial installation - I think 76 or 78 panels), and the job was done well. It was slowed down a little because the electric company had to install a new transformer in the area to provision for their system - my understanding is that Savkat did nag the electric company till this was done, and it took some time but not an unreasonable amount.

One thing to remember - with Savkat or any other company - BE THERE on the day of the install. DO check where those boxes and wires will go (or have this specified in writing with schematics and drawings before the job starts). You want to be there to avoid installers getting it done the fastest possible way, going the shortest route and leaving eyesore conduits and boxes on your house.

DISCLAIMER: This is for a contract in Connecticut, Fairfield county. Savkat (or is it their local branch ?) seem to know the place, the local companies, and has created a solid team for every aspect of the work process, permits with local authorities included. Your mileage may vary in a different locality. In Fairfield county and probably all around West Connecticut, they rule.

I decided to use Savkat for solar on the recommendation of my neighbor. He was absolutely right! They did a great job from designing the system, estimating the savings, and installation. They also recommended an excellent roofing company since my roof needed to be replaced. Cameron is the person to speak to. I recommend Savkat highly and without reservation.

Our experience working with SAVKAT has been excellent. I've enjoyed working with their sales folks and their technical people. Our solar panels have performed wonderfully for almost two years at this point. The only downside is that we are making quite a bit more electricity than we use, so we don't get a break on our property taxes (not a bad problem at all!).

After extensive research, we settled on SAVKAT for our solar provider for a combination of reasons. They are local, they use the highest quality US-made solar panels, and they have a highly competent engineering staff. Their sales representatives are also highly professional. We have been thrilled with the quality of the installation and the performance of the system. The mySunpower app is highly informative and very easy to use. We would choose them again and recommend them to anyone.

We were really pleased with the installation of our solar panels by SAVKAT. They coordinated everything, to tree removal, roofers and did the installation. They do contract with several roofers, so be sure to check reviews on that also. They had good cleanup of the site. And now our electric bill is $0, but really we did it all for the environment. (If you need a loan, take the time to explore options for the best interest rate because although they coordinated that for us, we could have done better on that.) Over all, really pleased with their coordination.

Matt was very respectful of me and my property. He and his coworker or effective efficient, nice, and the outcome was fantastic.

I have to say that getting solar panels was one of the best decisions my family ever made. I know this sounds really cliché but it’s true. We simply don’t pay for electricity anymore. We went from having $1200 bills every month in the summer to zero! It’s not worth it for you if you get very low bills for electricity. But if you’re at 350 or more I urge you to consider it.
The great thing about this company is that they will let you know how much you’ll be making and they can give you an estimate of how much you’ll be saving. They even guarantee that you will make a certain amount or they lower your monthly cost for those panels.
We worked with Jordan who was amazing. He always responded to any questions we had immediately - even after business hours. Jordan explained everything to us in great detail and put absolutely no pressure on us to install. He understands that solar is not for everyone so he doesn’t push. He just gives info. We built our house in Wolcott, CT and moved in September 2021. Our electric bill steadily increased each month. Also, we lost power at least 10x during the first full year. Finally, after yet another Eversource rate increase in 2022, I finally decided decided it was time to sit down and do some research on solar. In a couple of weeks I felt it was time to engage several solar companies in the area for pricing, offers, etc. I had three must-haves: 1) overproduce (never want an electric bill again and for future), 2) quality workmanship, and 3) a battery backup for power outages.

It didn't take long for me to decide that SAVKAT would be our company of choice. Knowing I had done my research, it was easy to see some of the companies trying to entice us with leasing, lower-quality panels, and shying away from battery backup. At the time, purchasing was far superior to leasing - plus all the tax incentives and early-adoption battery backup plans with Eversource.

After sitting down and reviewing the numbers, I could either continue to wonder how much more our electric bill would be each month or pay a fixed amount per month (loan) for electricity at a significantly lower rate per month (based on avg monthly bills over a year).

I'm currently writing this review after having the system installed and running for 9 months. In that timeframe, I have continued to receive credits every month on my Eversource account because we overproduce. I receive a quarterly payment at roughly 3 cents per kW we generate. We were early adopters (phase 1) of the SunPower Virtual Power Plant (VPP) program where Eversource uses our battery to help offset grid demand. This program is for 10 years which pays us per average kWh over each period. We are currently on pace to be around 6kWh per event, which will end up covering more than half of our monthly loan payments.

The installation was a piece of cake - panel array and electrical in less than a day, and the battery was done the following day. The panel array was placed perfectly on the rear roof of our home, and they installed a single conduit down the roofline into the basement where our electric panel lives. All of the permits, surveys, scheduling Eversource meter installs, etc were handled by SAVKAT. All we had to do was sign on the dotted line whenever necessary and be home when they needed to work.

Once we got the ok from our town inspector and Eversource inspectors, the system was turned on.

I also have to say I love the SunPower app on my phone. I find myself checking it multiple times a week to see how we're doing. It's super convenient and easy to use. Being able to generate custom reports from date x to date y lets me know if I'll be getting a credit or charge on my Eversource account. It also supplies me with the VPP average kWh for the incentive plan.

All in all, I couldn't be happier with the decision to go with SAVKAT. From sales, to service, to installers, and everyone involved in the process - it was (and still is) a pleasure. I continue to recommend solar and SAVKAT to anyone who asks (and sometimes when they don't).

Just want to share my experience with Savkat so far. I been working with Jay Buckland, he helped me make the decision install solar in my home, the panels got activated on 1.9.24 the month of February had great weather and my solar production was phenomenal, i will not received a electric bill in the month of March, this is 2 months sooner than i expected. i definitely recommend SAvkat and Jay Buckland

I have had SAVKAT Sunpower solar for about 4 months now I wanted to wait before I gave a review, from the first call from Brad to the final install was flawless, clean install very professional and most importantly I'm saving money! one bad thing is during my down time I am constantly checking my Sunpower app to see how much money im saving!! Brad made everything smooth!! do it you wont be disappointed!!

Start to finish Savkat and SunPower lead the way. We interviewed several solar companies and chose SunPower. They had whats seems to be the best reviews online, the best panels, and they have the longest history in the business. Important to us as a warranty is only good if the seller stays in business. Worked with Jordan at Savkat, the installer for SunPower. Man does he know his stuff. Went through every detail and answered questions honestly, technically and with experience. He was involved in every step and was always a txt or call away. With the authority to make things happen, he can change schedules or modify designs as needed. No “need to ask the Man behind the curtain” type business here, this is a real service based company. Install went great, power output is where it should be. App works well and gives you a good idea of usage versus production day to day and month to month. After the install give it a few days to get good data, the app starts off squirrelly with all the zeros for data. From start to finish we are very pleased and highly recommend Savkat and SunPower!

Our Savkat experience was fantastic start to finish. Marlis, our salesperson, was able to provide an accurate and detailed explanation of the whole process. She answered all inquiries and concerns efficiently (even after install). Installers Reed and Dave (and crew) make a great team. Update to this review. We are having issues with our solar system. Contacted savkat to set up a service visit. After talking with them the first time on a Wednesday they said they would call Monday. They didn’t. I called Wednesday and they said they would call back Friday to set up a service appointment. They didn’t. I called them Friday and finally they told me they wouldn’t service sun power anymore. Be carefully with this company if you have sun power solar
