Usually any Ace the staff is super friendly, but this one the staff appeared to be inconvenienced if you asked them a question. I had intended on shopping further after I got helped but I ended up just quietly leaving without buying anything else. I wouldn't recommend this location. Moose lake and mcgregor are super nice
I never thought I'd fall in love with a hardware store, but here I am-completely smitten by the ACE Hardware on Main Street in Sandstone. The staff is so friendly and helpful, you're greeted immediately. I love the creaky hardwood floors and everything about this store makes sense. It's well organized, has incredible selection, and is much bigger than you'd imagine thanks to a lower level. Shopping here is a pleasure, you won't get lost or distracted like you do at the big box stores that I won't mention by name. The staff clearly values their customers, and it's so obvious how much we need stores like this now. Dog food? They carry Nutrisource, the dog food I give my spoiled canines, and a better food than the brands sold at the big box store. Shopping here is an absolute pleasure, a throwback to the stores of my youth. Added bonus-even the front cash registers have candies on their racks I haven't seen in YEARS. Butter Rum Lifesavers? I didn't even think they made those anymore! Chuckles jelly candy? They've got them!
Always and I mean always greeted when u walk in and will be asked what u need and they will put u right on it every time. We moved up from the subs and was thrown back with the hospitality and help they give. To me it's worth the extra few bucks u have to pay compared to Menards or likewise.
