Quality Motors is the best and has taken care of me for many years! From buying my first car at 16, a Dodge Neon, to my Ford Edge when I had my first baby to my now Cadillac Escalade! Thank you to Katrina Becker and David Jenkins for getting my deal done within 24 hours! The best service, quality care and kind people! I was able to buy New Vehicle living 5 gours away and get it delivered! Thank you Quality Motors for making this happen! Where do I begin? Bought a 2006 Dodge 3500 with the 5.9L in Nov of 2023 by March of 2024 transmission (that had already been replaced before purchase) was shifting poorly, staying stuck in 1st then slamming into 2nd gear. They pulled the transmission replaced some rings put it back together and charged me $900 for a throw down cable that wasn't covered by warranty because it was a non lubricated part. But also charged $1000 out of my warranty coverage. Anyway got it back in April drove it (very little) for about a month or so then same issues reoccur. I take it back in, wondering why the problem/problems were not fixed the first time. They tell me I need a new transmission. (I thought I did the first time but was assured otherwise). So I say go ahead I need my pickup, it took until November to get a transmission in and then they didn't have it installed until January. Charging $5,700 with only the remaining $2000 being covered by the warranty because they already used $1,000 in the previous "repair" (I only had $3000 of coverage for my transmission under warranty). So all in all I've spent about $5000 out of pocket to get a new transmission in a a pickup I just bought. Both times I've picked my truck up my ATF is way over filled so much so that when the truck warms up all you can smell is transmission fluid, but the icing on the cake was that this time I picked up my truck I had a screw in my tire,and my transmission temp gage isn't working..... I will say that Kenny worked with me a bit on the price (when I could get in contact with him) due to the kerfuffle the first go around but it still feels steep. They are terrible about calling back, I would have to call 3 times to get a return call. I called last week to ask about my issues upon picking up my truck, leaving a message with Clancy but have heard nothing back. At this point I am just taking the loss with it. I will not be taking anything back there, or purchasing anything from there again.

We never thought buying a truck would be such a pleasant experience! Chris (General Mgr) made us feel extremely comfortable & expedited the process with efficiency and humor. Parts manager, Chase, went above and beyond for us, as did Katrina in the front office. We were even treated to a generous lunch, compliments of the dealership after we left with our new truck! My husband and I were recently in Challis and were talking about a new truck. We reached out to Chris the General Manager. He was able to help us get a new truck and even worked with us to get a good deal on our new truck. Since we are not from the area he was able to get our new running boards installed while we were waiting. Our Suburban kept dying on us while towing our camper 15 miles frim Salmon. We managed to make it to town and get the camper set up in the RV park. I called Quality Motors and they got me in the next day. They gave me a ride back to our camper. It took hours for it to act up. They were determined and figured out it was the fuel pump. They had a loaner car come in so they brought it to us to use. They had our Suburban ready about the time it was for us to check out of the RV park. They were so helpful, friendly, and quick. Thank you all !!!

I went in to have the oil changed on my van. Not only do they inspect everything, even the tire pressure, but they wash and vacuum your vehicle!!! After 5 oil changes, they give you your next one for free! I left feeling confident that everything was in great operating condition. So many times after someone has worked on my vehicles, I've had an uneasy feeling that something underhanded had been done! NOT the case with Salmon River Quality Motors! It's an awesome feeling!!!

This is not my first rodeo, and I was looking for a specific make/model vehicle plus the complication of 2 separate trade ins! I did a 250-mile radius search for any dealership that had the vehicle I was looking for and contacted several dealerships with the same inquiry. I stated what I was looking for and what my trade in situation. Quality Motors in Salmon was the ONLY dealership to respond with more than an auto reply, or response pressuring a phone call. Jerry Stacy is amazing, and this has honestly been the most pleasant automotive purchase I have experienced. Jerry listened and was not a typical pushy salesman, he was ok working primarily through email to fit into my work schedule. I felt heard and respected throughout the process. So many times, in the past as a woman I have been condescendingly spoken to about automobiles in general, and that was not the case here at all. Dion Carlson was also great to work with on the paperwork, incredibly efficient! My shortest ever trip to an auto dealer. They even took the extra mile to run the vehicle through a car wash while the paperwork was being finished. I would very much recommend working with this dealership and plan to work with them again for any future automotive needs. Thank you, Jerry & Dion. I love my new rig!

Quality Motors took 2 days to diagnose what the guys at O'Reilly's told me in two hours (failed PCM/computer). They initially tried to replace my fuel pump without even checking for spark. They took another full day to install the new PCM, then said my car was fixed without even test driving it. Seriously they only drove it from the bay to the parking spot and said it was good to go. As soon as I got on the highway, I started having problems. Luckily I was able to make it back to Boise, and 27th Street Automotive fixed my van properly in only one day and also charged me less than Quality Motors. When I called Dave Peterson, the manager at Quality, to complain, he denied all liability since it was a customer provided PCM (Quality said it would take 7-10 days to get a new PCM but O'Reilly's could get one in the next day). From the incorrect diagnosis at the beginning and trying to replace parts unnecessarily to the lack of accountability when they did not properly fix my car, I was very displeased with my experience at Quality Motors. I would avoid taking any vehicle there for any service work. Two thumbs down.

Went here to look at a used truck, had been talking for two days about it. We come in, and are told "I'm 99.9% sure its sold, but you can look at it anyway" excuse me?. On top of this, a year later, we taken in a used ford expedition to see what they could trade us for it, because we were really desperate at the time cause my dad was terminally ill and needed to take big trips each month to hospitals. We wait around an hour listening to these people cuss and yell at each other in front of their customers, only to be told there really just wasn't anything they could do. But it gets so much better. They damaged the back seat and it could no longer go down all the way because they bent it all to hell. If I was ever to go here again, I'd put a camera inside, and then if they broke something, I would definitely be suing, but luckily for you, I'd walk before ever coming here again.

We were not 100% sure we were ready to trade in our car for a truck while visiting from Moscow, but we are 100% happy that we did after working with Cody. He knew exactly what we needed and didn't waste any time showing us the perfect truck, making sure we had a great deal both ways and walking us through the sales process along with his team. We appreciated and enjoyed getting to work with everyone - especially Cody and Donny! We only wish we knew they had campers and we would have bought our GeoPro there too! I tried to wait to cool off...it didnt work. Took my ford f450 to figure out why it was running bad. We live about 4 hours away and was on vacation. They said it was my main computer at about $1200.00, I needed it fixed so I forked out the money. Got just about home when it started doing the same thing. I called them, they suggested I drive back so they could look at it. It ended up being a short in a wire that was fixed by another dealer for free. Anyway I guess they need to hire anybody that says they're a mechanic being a small town. They got $1200 from me. That'll be the last time. I guess I do have a new main computer. Be careful with their service department.

December 16th, 2014 I went to Quality cars in Hamilton Montana. I test drove a 2007 Nissan Sentra and asked my salesman Rich to put paperwork through on purchasing the car. I did not hear from him on the 17th and I had called and left a message at 5pm and did not recieve a call back. On December 18th I did not hear from Rich all day and I called at 430pm and was able to speak to Rich for a minute. I asked him what the bank had said and he told me I should just get the Buick they had for sale. I told him that I did not want the Buick and then he said he was busy and would call me later. I was very upset that he blew me off and didn't even have the courtesy to talk with me and let me know what the bank had said. I did not hear from Rich again until December 30th. He left a message that he had 2 cars that might work for me. I was very disappointed in the way I was treated and will never return to that car lot and do not have anything good or nice to say about them. Also on another note, Rich seemed to think that I enjoyed him calling me Sis, my name is not Sis and I did not appreciate it. I have a name and out of respect should have been called by my name.

My salesman was Phil, and from the very beginning of the process was great to deal with. He returned phone calls, he assisted with finding other financing and was super helpful. Once I arrived at the dealership, the whole process took almost no time at all. Phil had all of the paperwork ready for our arrival, and 15 minutes after we sat down, we were driving away in our truck. I drove clear from Idaho Falls to Salmon, and would do it again in a second if I got the service I received this time.

It was a fantastic experience after talking with Dan Kauffman over the telephone. He was very easy to talk to about what I was looking for and I had already researched their inventory on their Website, so I knew what I wanted. He made a very resonable offer for the New Yukon XL and had also made a trade in offer for my GMC Acadia. When I arrived at the Dealership I was introduced to Goober Hanson, who really was pleasant and down to earth about the paperwork and vehicle information that was needed to complete the sales forms. All in all I really was impressed with the genuine courtesy, ease of going through the final documents and the help that was offered of moving items out of the Acadia over to the Yukon! I will definetly keep their business cards for future GMC vehicle purchases and I would recommend their Dealership to anyone looking for a vehicle. My sales person, Shawn Wells is an excellent person to deal with. The transaction went extremely smooth, and the dealership delivered the truck I purchased and picked up my 2 trades approx. 200 miles each way. The deal was more than fair and I got very good trade in values for my vehicles. We did this deal without even test driving either parties vehicles (just viewing my new truck online with the photos).
