My roof started leaking heavily around the chimney during one of the very hard rains we experienced this summer. The chimney is very large, has a complicated/uneven natural stone face, and comes up through the middle of the roof, requiring flashing all the way around. Chad responded quickly and fixed several problems with the flashing and surrounding shingles, and he took care of a couple of other areas I was worried about. He stands by his work and did come back for some no-fee touch-ups when another hard rain revealed a very small leak was still present. He even helped stop some leakage into my basement at no additional charge!

Had a leak on a rental property in Independence. I could not break loose anytime during the week so Chad worked with me and met me on a Sunday afternoon! I found him extremely professional and he identified the problem in minutes. I had to leave early so he completed the work and then took the trouble of sending me photos of the completed job. Early Saturday morning storm took out master bath skylight. Chad arrived, did solid temporary watertight fix and and has new skylight glass on order. He only does repairs so he won't be trying to sell you a new roof. He's very knowledgeable with super-high standards. He'll be doing all of our roof work from now on. Cannot say enough good things about Chad with Roof Repair Techs. He does quality work for a great price. We called him out to replace some shingles that had blown off. Not only did he replace the shingles, but he also checked all the seals around the vents on the roof and resealed everything for us. We had intermittent issues with leaks before he came out. Made a phone call this morning due to a leak that left a spot on our ceiling. He called me back within about 15 minutes and came over about an hour later. Chad was the quickest to respond and was out to look at the problem in less than 24 hours, thought I was going to spend a grand and he can in at 1/3 of what I was expecting. What I liked about Roof Repair Techs is they came out the same day that I called. He took before and after pictures (shared them with them) and explained everything that was going to be done. Chad came out to fix the chimney cap that blew off in a storm, but also to fix a vent that an animal had eaten through. He guaranteed his work for 6 months, and had the price up front before he started. The price didn't change, and he actually did a little more work that he said he was going to - at no additional cost. A few weeks later the chimney cap blew off again in another storm, but he was out the next day to fix it and actually replaced it for free because this time it broke. I met Chad Lovell from Roof Repair Techs after interviewing about a half dozen roofers for bids to repair a leak in my roof and replace a few shakes. I was skeptical, to say the least, about the roofing industry, when I first spoke with Chad.
After getting estimates and opposing opinions from the various salesmen who stood with me in my backyard, looking up at my roof, and giving me all the reasons why I needed a NEW one, I felt drained and frustrated.
I called for a REPAIR.
I did my due diligence. I used a neighbor's referral for a roofer, used a home services website, and did some research, getting the same results: the only thing roofing companies want to do is sell you an entire roof replacement. They have big crews to pay and they make big commissions on the wiggle room they have with the insurance company payouts and what they charge the customer.
The point is, there are very few, if only a couple, of businesses in the Kansas City Region, that will complete small roof repairs. My home has shakes, which requires a true gift to identify and and then replace them.
I found Chad's posting on Craig's List and it immediately caught my eye. He repaired and worked on shakes, was insured, and spoke with me the same day I called him.
He took a look at my roof that day, discussed the maintenance for a shake roof with me, and then wrote me an estimate on the spot.
We accepted his offer and he was working on my roof the next day and completed the job successfully. I told him, and I am telling you, this guy is a master craftsman when it comes to shakes. Did a great job on my roof at a reasonable price. Replaced wood shingle roof. Chad was great about informing me of everything they were doing and why. He was always there when he said he would be. Couldn't be happier with the job done!
