I first contacted Rocky Mountain Contracting in August 2023 because of the hail damage to the exterior to my home in Erie CO. RMC was recommended to me by a neighbor and friend who used RMC to replace his roof from the same storm. My friend told me that the owner of the company did an inspection of his property and thoroughly explained the nature of the damage and helped guide him through the insurance claim process smoothly.
My situation was very complex. I live in a two year old duplex that was hit even harder. Not only did I need a roof replacement, I sustained damage to my windows, gutters and fencing. I also have solar panels that needed to be detached to replace the roof and reset after by an authorized company of Sunova. This was no small task.
To make matters even more difficult, my original insurance estimate was missing many items that were not approved during the first insurance inspection.
I was very impressed how Patrick worked with my insurance company directly to overcome those obstacles to get to a point to start the project.
Just when it seemed like we were ready to start the project, that's when a whole new set of challenges arose. First, I needed to convince the homeowner next door to make a claim for damage to the other side of the duplex and we needed to do both sides at the same time with one contractor. Patrick did a great job walking my neighbor through the same challenges that I faced as well. By the time we got all these issues resolved, all the supply houses in Denver ran out of material and winter set in.
Patrick preached patience with the process and assured us that waiting until spring would be in everyone's best interest. Patrick worked all winter behind the scenes to negotiate fair agreements with both insurance carriers, getting HOA approvals, scheduled solar removal, procuring material and permits. As soon as April came we were finally ready to move forward. Patrick advised us to reschedule the build date a couple of times to wait for better weather and I am glad he did.
Once we were ready to go, the solar contractor removed our panels at the same time. Within a week the roof replacement was scheduled. Our roof is big and has difficult access. Patrick had a crew of 15 remove and replace everything on the roof in only a day and a half! The very next day we got the final inspection approved and the day after that the solar reinstalled and up and running! Wow, that was fast!
After everything was said and done, Patrick at Rocky Mountain Contracting did a phenomenal job setting and exceeded our expectations from beginning to end! On top of all that we ended up getting the best shingle on the market with warranties on the material, workmanship, and solar.
I couldn't be happier with the end result and more impressed with Patrick at RMC. By the time we were done Patrick proved what a pro he is handling our tricky process every step of the way! I will definitely recommend him and to anyone who is looking for an honest and experienced professional to handle these complicated and complex hail restoration projects.
