with a few minor hiccups, we got back into our home in a timely manner. The people who handled our belongings were very careful, and treated our items with great care and respect. The project manager had a way of easing my nerves when it came to the rebuild. Thank you to the whole RMP team, hope to not have another issue with my home, but if so i know who to call.
Sunday was very helpful and got me through every step of the process especially dealing with the insurance company. She is very polite and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this company!
RMP is a nightmare. Owner comes off as professional, but with all the issues I had over the duration of the Insurance claim project, he was extremely unprofessional, unaccountable and called me "a squeezer". Read their Yelp and Google reviews! If this many people have had issues; something is clearly amiss with their business practices. Do not rely on testimonials on website. Excuses for everything. Does not take responsibility for anything. Over promises and under delivers. My project was handled through my insurance company, whom did all the negotiating. The estimated work and pricing was not given in full at the start of the project. It was piecemeal. I had no idea of a full dollar amount before any work started. Master Bath remodel $30k for tile throughout (I purchased the vanity and vanity fixtures separately). Flooring replaced, and baseboards(due to asbestos abatement where tile was to be redone. I do not recall exact sq ft, but $50k. At that time RMP owner told me the walls and ceiling would be repainted. Well conveniently the estimate failed to include the ceiling so that was an additional cost. Asbestos Abatement $16k. I was told by RMP that my home needed to be emptied entirely of the contents. $20k for a move out. I moved from Seattle in late 2018 with the exact belongings for $17k.(Everything was carefully packed, artwork crated, itemized (17 pages) and signed for by me. Carefully inspected and there were no damages.) Crating or extra care was not taken with my belongings with RMP movers. Move in $16k. Probably includes some storage charge too for 3 1/2 months time. I was told it would be 2 months. Nearly two weeks went by at one point that no sub contractor showed up in the middle of the flooring replacement. No text or call back from project manager when I inquired what was gong on during that time. I was also told a video would be taken of my home and everything would be placed exactly where it was. On the move out I saw one woman taking photos and not aware of any video, as they started packing. I was told not to help, as they were responsible if anything happened. I went out to buy their lunch. I stayed for a day and a half and then let them do their thing. Same with the move in. I stayed for some of it but told the woman in charge they have photos of where stuff goes so if they didn't need me I would leave and call me if you need me. Well, things were not put back exactly as they kept reiterating. They damaged my sofa(a fist sized hole in the back and did not bother to show it to me), three artwork frames that they merely covered with plastic and one can see where they slid the items and destroyed the corners. Broke a vase and did not bother to show it to me. 2 movers where discussing a "marble"(it's travertine) table the day of move out. When I walked up they stopped talking and I asked if everything was okay. They claimed everything was fine and I said well we will see when my things are returned. Well my "marble" (it's actually travertine) table was broken in four places and obviously repaired while in their possession. When confronted about the broken and repaired table and the conversation the two women were having the day of the move out, I was told they were merely commenting on how "cool" it was. If that was the case why not tell me instead of whispering. RMP won't take responsibility as that comes directly off their bottom line of profit on my job. My recent call with the Owner, discussing all that has gone wrong and the damages, he called me a "squeezer"! He asked why I was complaining when insurance was paying for everything. I certainly didn't expect my belongings to be mishandled. I'm sure RMP will responded saying I'm mot telling the entire story as he has in all the other poor reviews. Find another company for your restoration or construction needs While the new flooring looks great there are other aspects of their company that are extremely poor- Project management, over priced and the quality of people they hire (sub contractors and movers).
