We had storm damage to our roof and had to get our roof replaced. Matt was a professional from start to finish. The job was done timely and looks amazing. No detail was left unfinished and where there were a couple spots in the plywood that looked questionable, they made sure to replace the wood. I’m very pleased with the whole process. I cannot recommend this company enough.

Used Matt and River Oakes Roofing for a number of years and for several roofing issues such as an ice dam issue one winter and most recently a roof leak following heavy wind and rains. He always responded promptly and fixed the issue to prevent recurrence and if needed made follow-up visit to ensure his work was done write. What a relief to have found someone
In the roofing business that is so knowledgeable. Matt the owner came out to access hail and wind damage on our roof. He explained we had storm damage and what it looks like through pictures he took of main roof. Matt emailed everything I needed to send State Farm. He is very through and my wife was less stressed because he assured her it's going to be ok. I already recommended him to my neighbor and he came out on time and took care of the wind damage. It's hard to find people that are this professional and I believe he truly cares about his customers.

Matt is great! My husband was not available, so he explained everything to me and did not try and take advantage of me being a female as some companies do. The area he fixed started to leak again and he came right out after I called. He made sure everything was complete before he left. He is truly a man of his word and is very knowledgeable. It was going to be 2 days before insurance adjuster could be here and I was concerned about rainwater leakage after siding and the attic vent on one side of my house was blown off by high wind gusts. I Googled and found River Oakes Roofing. Matt said he could take care if it and responded right away. He worked diligently high on the ladder while the wind was still gusty to get the job finished. He was pleasant, friendly, knowledgeable and did a great job (and the cost was reasonable).

River Oakes did an amazing job on my roof. Matt spent a significant amount of time explaining different types of roof wood, flow of air through the attic, moisture, shingle types, etc. He thoroughly inspected every detail of the roof as well. There is no question that Matt has master level experience and knowledge. It is clear that he has been a roofer for a very long time, and also local to the NOVA area for all his experience. After meeting with Matt materials were dropped off next business day and the roof went on the day after that. His whole crew was excellent and they finished the entire house in one day with ease. The entire time the roof was being replaced Matt was sending me pictures and updates. He was easy to reach as he immediately responded to call, text, email, etc. the whole time. The process was incredibly easy, thanks for beautiful roof Matt & crew!

I had another quote done and River Oakes had a much more competitive price. I was able to easily communicate with the owner and get updates via email/text. I have been extremely impressed by the quality of work done by River Oakes. They replaced my roof vents and I was so impressed that I hired them several additional times. They recently installed gutter guard materials. They also installed a gutter completely alleviating overflow problems I was having. I have been pleased every time.
