Within a few days of calling, they gave me an estimate, helped me picked out shingle colors, and came out to install my new roof. The whole process was so easy and quick. They offered to help us fix our gutters too! Thank you to Chris and Nick for the awesome job.

Ripcord construction replaced an existing roof and skylight windows that were leaking from an install by another roofer. They installed everything, roof and windows in one day, taking care to shield my landscape from damage. They also cleaned up everything beautifully. A special thanks to Nick from Ripcord construction for managing the roof and skylight replacement so professionally. The new skylight windows look and work beautifully. I feel at ease that I do not have to worry about water damage from either the roof or windows. I would definitely recommend Ripcord construction for roof or window repairs or replacement.

I decided to add the garage roof to the house roofing job when they were nearly done and they quickly got more materials and did both. Best part was they came in more than $1,700 below another company's bid for the house alone! Was impressed that the people who actually positioned the shingles were very particular and unhurried.

They did go out of their way to make sure everything was done in a timely manner and they always cleaned everything up at the end of the day. My wife and I had a bad contractor come out and add a sliding backdoor for us. The contractor royally messed up our home and caused us safety issues with the house and damage. I called Chris from ripcord construction, Chris and his crew came out in an emergency same day to assess the damage and made it a priority to fix our framing, electrical, and siding in a timely matter so my home on the inside was not exposed to elements
outside during really cold winter weather. They made sure my home was safe for my family and sealed up the proper way. The work turned out beautifull and now has become a focal point of our home. The crew was very professional and made extra precautions to keep the work area clean from debris and free from damages. I definitely recommend ripcord construction If you want it done right the first time. The door turned out exactly as I had pictured in my head. Thank you guys.

It took me less than 2 minutes of discussion with Ripcord’s owner, Chris to realize that he’s a straight-shooter … and was confirmed throughout all our subsequent interactions. He’s a tell-it-like-it-is type of person … even if it’s something you wish you didn’t have to hear.

The bottom line is that they do good work.

The event that brought Ripcord out was a hail storm that hammered our roof & aluminum siding. We’re very pleased with what they did. His crew is much more professional & respectful that what I tend to observe & overhear in other crews.

One thing that stands out to me is the way Chris handled the unforeseen items that arose when addressing a house that’s over 130 years old. Chris had no propensity to jump on opportunities to milk us for extra. He was obviously more interested in restricting his scope to what we needed & wanted, rather than stretching things out. (This helped him stick to his timing projections with other customers too.)

If you’re looking for the lowest-dollar contractor, I suspect Ripcord won’t be first choice. They genuinely care about doing a good job without skimping. From my conversations with Chris, I have a strong sense that in the end, they will make sure to satisfy you (as they did for us). Their focus is on maintaining a good reputation rather than in cutting corners or milking customers for add-on work.

Very satisfied with the entire process from speaking to Chris about what I wanted done to finish. The crew that did the work was friendly, and cleaned up afterwards. Ripcord just replaced the roof on my home. Great guy to work with and super nice work crew. They took the time to make sure everything was protected while they tore the old roof off. They did a great job and were extremely helpful. Their work is very efficient. First they sealed what was likely causing a leak, only to find out later that an unseen clip was poking through a shingle (so the leak continued the next time it stormed). They came back right away, found the real problem quickly, and fixed it first thing the next day.

We just had the roof on our home redone by Ripcord. When we initially called the company it was almost the end of the business day, but we still received a call that evening from Chris to set up an assessment. Chris came to our home the next day, he assessed our roof, and gave us a quote. He was very honest and upfront with us through the entire process and had a great line of communication with us as well. His crew was great and they seemed highly dedicated! They worked hard from the time they got to our home until the time they left. We cannot thank Chris and his crew enough for the hard work they put in, and we will absolutely give them a call in the future if the need arises!

My roof started leaking. Someone came out that day for inspection and estimate. Repaired the following day. They did great work, very professional. Will definitely use their services again.

Ripcord performed a number of services for us. We had our siding replaced, new deck and had it relocated, new slider and windows in its place, new floors which makes our home look awesome, and a new bathroom which is gorgeous . We found through this that the company was extremely thorough. Upon removing the siding they found the original builder failed to wrap our windows which created mold mildew and wet osb. It also created a health issue.. Chris took the time to explain and corrected this issue.. there is so much good to say about them.. I would HIGHLY recommend Ripcord Construction.

Chris “fixed” my aluminum siding that was blown off during a storm in 2021. The same piece was blown off on August 30th. He wants to charge another $425 to fix his poor workmanship! His original “fix” included pounding 2 nails in the middle of the siding, not aesthetically pleasing and not how siding is properly installed. If he was a professional he would fix the problem for free, under warranty. When I told him he should fix it right he hung up on me!! Why would I pay him to correct his lousy work?

I think this shows what type of person Chris is, the type of business person he is and the poor quality of his work.

Ripoff Construction is perhaps a more accurate name for this company.
