Rex Construction

I have to start out and say Rex construction is an awesome restoration and reconstruction company. Diana is the bomb she knows how to handle business. She took care of all the home owners insurance claim I didn’t have to do nothing. Diana is always there to make everything come together. I strongly recommend Rex construction for all your construction and restoration needs you will not be disappointed. Thank you again Diana for all you have done for me and my family we all appreciate you and everything looks beautiful!!!!!!!

They installed the cartridge for our shower incorrectly. I am now having to have another plumber fix the issue since Rex construction left us without cold water in our master bathroom shower. The cartridge was installed incorrectly leading to no cold water, $75 down the drain. The caulking they used on the shower and toilet wasn’t even the correct water proof type, they used painters caulk. When they disposed of our toilet they also threw away the top of the line Bio Bidet that was attached to it. Rex construction replaced the bidet with a cheap Home Depot bidet that didn’t have a remote like the one we bought and the unit doesn’t work as well. The work took months, leaving us without a working shower. Overall I regret going with this company and not having someone else do the work.

My husband and I are new homeowners and this was our first time doing an insurance claim. After unexpected water damage to our floors and drywall, we found Rex on yelp and were told they would come by to give us an estimate.

What we received was a long conversation and a contract we, regrettably, signed. This contract required that we work with Rex (without any quote) and if we backed out we’d be required to pay them $1,000. Immediately after signing I knew I made a huge mistake. Once she saw what insurance gave us the cost of repairs magically mimicked that number plus $1K.

We went back and forth with Diana about #s. Based on the amount we received we wanted to see what we could do with our floors. We had partial tile and carpet and weren’t sure if we could/wanted to remove tile to update all of our flooring at the same time. We had drywall to repair as well.

It took months, but after TONS of emails requesting quotes for different options we finally received a very basic outline with no information on the cost of flooring - per square foot - or any specific details.
In this estimate we were quoted $2,000 JUST to repair drywall. Every person we talked to about this said this number was astronomical. We found a different contractor who did our drywall for $800.

If we had decided to move forward with this company we would have gone over budget by $5,000 & potentially more as these prices were not guaranteed. This would have been for only part of our flooring & not all the tile areas.

Ultimately we terminated the contract and went with a different company.
Despite having to pay the termination fee of $1K we still stayed within our budget and were able to do ALL of our floors including all extra tile areas!

I understand we made a mistake by signing this contract. My best recommendation would be to make sure you receive a quote prior to signing anything. No other contractor/company we spoke to required any contracts, but now I understand why Rex does. Guaranteed $1K on every customer!

I’m so thankful for the team at Rex Constr. When my water heater leaked so bad that it caused damage to my wall, I was worried about the cost and who to contact to fix my water heater stand, the damage to my wall and repainting of it. Rex construction was the company who took care of it all! I’m very thankful to them - they also helped me to discover that the damage to my house was covered by my insurance. They helped me step by step, as I worked with my insurance to take care of the damage. I am sincerely thankful to the team, especially to Diana for supporting me throughout the process.

Rex Construction was such a pleasure to work with! When our water heater busted during the Memorial Day holiday weekend, it caused damage to the drywall around it. Rex Construction helped us coordinate everything with our insurance company and got us in contact with trustworthy plumbing and restoration companies. The process was seamless and Rex Construction brought our house back to new! No one can tell that any damaged occurred. I would recommend them to anyone who wants a job done right and quickly!!

I couldnt be more happier with the work of Rex Construction. My house severly got damaged from the rain we got in September. Life Saver restoration gave the recommendation to go through Rex. At first I was very hesitant but Rex and his wife laid out everything that was to be done. As someone that suffers extreme anxiety…. Diana and Rex simply put me at ease. Diana was so amazing in helping me pick out new flooring, cabinets, carpet and my shower layout. Everytime I had a question she got back to me and explained the whole process. All I have to say is 7 months later returning to my home it feels like brand new. Diana even scheduled an amazing house clean before I came home. Upon coming home I noticed a few things that needed to be fixed and rest assured Diana had everything scheduled within days to be completed! I am so beyond pleased with the work done and highly recommend Rex construction for anyone who needs work!!!

I would recommend Rex Construction to anyone in the same situation as me! Less than a year into owning my first home, a water pipe burst in the foundation and caused a flood. Diana and her team helped me navigate the insurance process way better than if I had gone about it on my own. By maximizing my insurance, offering beautiful design options, and pushing the project forward as fast as possible, Rex was able to move me back into a near-fully renovated home in less than four months after the flood. They did an exceptional job with the floors and cabinets especially. Dealing with water damage was one of the most stressful things I’ve ever done, but I could not have imagined doing it without Rex Construction. Go with these guys!

Rex construction built my casita and remodeled my house after a flood. Diana handled the insurance claim. She got my cabinets covered which was a relief. It took time but I was happy to do it right. The work crews were almost always on time which was nice.

The casita project was more involved. I worked with Rex (the other owner) for that portion. He introduced me to the architect and did the permitting. Henderson was VERY particular. I’m happy with our projects.

Please beware if you hire this company and or their remediation company Lifesavers. They are wolves in sheeps clothing. They will lie to your face. I had the project manager show up and steal money from my purse. They send a sub out, one dude. No business card, no company .
logo attire. No company vehicle . They stole thousands from our insurance company, installed low grade, sub par products. Left our home looking terrible. Splashed white paint on our bookshelf and refused to fix it. Installed a stone cracked countertop and said we threw a chair at it. So much more i could share. Please be cautious if you consider this company. Worst experience ever. Lying thieves. We are working with the contractors board and our attorney. They will threaten you with a lien if u dont give them all the insurance money, even when they never provided any estimate or charges incurred. Please go elsewhere. There are good honest contractors out there. Rex co and their subs are fraudulant. Thank you.

I am loving my new vanity! These guys we VERY precise when building it (due to water damage to my old one, the vanity had to be fully replaced). They were supremely helpful when choosing a color and countertop. Fast and efficient work. Totally replaced my old shower with an updated one. Loving all what they have done to restore my bathroom with an updated look and feel! Thanks Rex Co.!

I want to file a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT against this company. I bet you will regret choosing this company. I don’t have enough characters to explain but in short… poor & incomplete work. Cheap and smaller materials. So much missing and broken pieces. and don’t get me started on the ownership.

Our kitchen got flooded and we had to open walls on the second and first floor, repaint areas, install new flooring, etc
This company have been an amazing team from the very beginning dealing with our insurance claim which it was a hassle.
We had the pleasure to meet Rex, who reviewed all the work done until the end and make sure we were happy with it. Diana was always available for us even sometimes after hours.
Also, the team of constructors who were at our house were exceptional, Rolando went above and beyond with some of the repairs (He even fixed tiny little holes that my 3 yo did behind the door while playing and installed some stoppers behind them, something that was not even part of the job), Alex who installed the floors paid a lot of attention to details (we truly love our new floors), and Jose who make sure all the minor details were fixed was amazing as well. Overall this was GREAT experience! We will totally recommend them! We cant be any happier with the results.

I want to say that this company at the end of it all was like family to me. Bobby my field manager always made sure the home repairs were taken care of and that everything went smoothly. Tara listened to me while I vented because having water damage in your home is some real stressful stuff but she always reassured me things would be ok. Diana was so kind and made the whole process clear from the beginning, she communicated often and replied back quick. Thank you guys at Rex for making this process such a quick and easy one!

I never thought my house could look the way it does after it completely flooded due to a burst water line. Rex made my house even better than it was before the flood. Thank you Bobby and the whole Rex construction team!

The Rex construction team was truly a God send. As a new home owner in Vegas, working to resolve a major issue uncovered right as I moved in, I could not have asked for a better team to partner with to restore my home.

Mr. Bobby reassured me I’d be in good hands and he not only kept his word, he offered every bit of encouragement along the way. The painters, Geo and his father, were so kind and truly restored my home far better than I received it.

I was blessed beyond measure working with this team and cannot wait to partner with them on future projects.

It's very possible that owners will respond defensively, with their version of the experience (see their Better Business Review page). Still, I want to share mine.

Tl;dr: it was awful due to extremely poor communication on the company's part. Project would've gone very well for them if they'd been willing to work with me, as I added in all kinds of afterthought$. :)

Same owners appear to have Pirate Plumbing and Lifesavers Restoration, both of which were stellar, both in terms of competence and customer service. Unfortunately, Rex Construction unfortunately turned out to be the polar opposite. Why?
Although response at the beginning of this non-project was prompt and they were willing to work with insurance company (they also use Exactimate software, a plus), that willingness soon became sort of a control issue. They insisted on working directly with my insurance company even though I was the one who had to call insurance directly to get things going. Rex failed to explain satisfactorily why it was so important for them to work with my insurance company beyond providing the estimate and insisted on continuing to try to work with insurance even after insurance had paid out to me and I had to ask them to start the project as though I didn't have insurance. Who has to beg someone to take their business!?
Communication went from bad to worse. Most of my e-mails and phone calls went unreturned, in fact, I only talked to them when they happened to answer the phone. I had specific questions as follow.
There was a $500+ charge in the estimate for "content manipulation". I had to ask 3-4 times what that meant. The project manager at first tried to tell me it was for moving appliances and putting them back, but there was already another, clearer charge for that. She then admitted to not knowing what it was and said she'd ask the boss, who didn't call back with an answer.
The worst part, though...
They did not answer my email in which I asked if their estimate included materials. It was not clear from the estimate. When I said I had purchased my own materials (on the phone, unfortunately nothing in writing), the owner got very upset and said 2-3 times that she'd rather I work with the company I'd bought my cabinets/countertops from. Didn't want to work with me at all to do the installation. At no time was I informed that Rex Construction expected me to purchase materials through them. Is that standard? I think not.
Owner surprised me with a termination fee invoice, in which she stated that I had terminated the work, when she was the one who had done that. Told me I'd breached the contract, but she was the one who refused to work with me!
Ultimately: we reached a sort of settlement/robbery. I got taken. That is, I caved in and paid her an agreed-upon sum so we could "be out of each other's hair" (her words). I would have spent more in my attorney's time. I'm so very disappointed...It was actually cool to at least start working with women in the construction biz.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Rex to replace my flooring, ceiling, walls, and bathroom after experiencing a terrible leak, and I am absolutely thrilled with the outstanding service they provided. From start to finish, Rex went above and beyond to ensure that my home was restored to its former glory, and I couldn't be happier with the results.

I am only giving this positive review because of Bobby Varela. I wasn't happy with how long it was taking and the extreme lack of communication. Then they sent Bobby and that's when everything turned around. From the first day he told me, "I've got you and we will finish." And he did! He also kept in touch, was very approachable and did excellent work. If Bobby had never been sent to me, I would still be without a working bathroom. I am greatly appreciative of Bobby and his work ethic.

Following a plumbing issue at my home, resulting in a massive amount of water damage, a huge remodeling was required. Rex Construction were amazing! They walked me through each step of the project and were always on hand to answer any of my questions. I couldn’t recommend them highly enough.

I have hired Rexco twice.

My house flooded while I was out of town. I came home to two inches of standing water in the kitchen. My insurance offered me 60k for a full remodel. Rex ended up getting me 98k. I am very very happy I didn’t accept the insurance offer. The work done in the house was great. I had one problematic tile that they switched out a couple days after I noticed it.

About a year after the flood I hired them to build out another home on the property. They were communicative and on budget. Rex is easy to work with. The project manager, Diana, was awesome. She answered our calls and (probably annoying) barrage of questions.

I’ve referred them out twice and both of those projects went well.

Rex Construction is THE BEST!!! They repaired our home in a very timely manner and were very responsive to emails and texts. Their professionalism and courtesy is unparalleled. You won’t find a better construction company in the Valley.

Both Rex and Diana are great people to easily work with! Our home had a minor water damage to our garage and bathroom and needed to be repaired. Rex Construction was recommended by someone and immediately were called upon and arrived the next day! Communication and professionalism was played in all parts of the process into getting scheduled for repairs, to repairing our home by their staff and being grateful and thankful for a job well done by Rex and their crew! They did a great job in repairing our home and also on a timely manner and I would definitely recommend them if you need repairs done to your home as well!

I've hired Rex Construction through my insurance due a leak that damaged my bathroom ceiling.
The manager Diana was very responsive and helpful with my request, when the workers came to finish the job I've noticed that the walls had some texture differences, so I contacted her and she send them back on my earliest convenience and fix it how I wanted.
Overall, they did a good job and worked very well, with exceptional customer service from the manager.

This is a very honest review… In the beginning I had my frustrations because of how long our kitchen was taking. In the end, I realized that this company has a high demand because their finished product is very professional. The entire team sees things through and backs up the promises that they make. Rex construction rebuilt portions of my garage and a bedroom after a broken pipe caused damage. They were prompt, meticulous and thorough in the repairs. I was very pleased with their job. I referred them to my neighbor. Everyone I worked with was friendly and helpful from the owner Rex to the project leader Steve. Thank u Rex Construction.

Rex construction remodeled my house after a flood. They were the only normal contractors I’ve ever dealt with. The work was excellent. My insurance tried to hassle me and the owner really helped.

Had a good experience with Rex Construction. Had damage from and old leak in the upstairs toilet, had to have it demo’d and repaired. After repairs were completed, they were able to put together our water list and reinstall the toilet. They picked out new tile that matched our old tile well. And recently when our a/c went out, our attic floor needed to be reinforced. Steve with Rex worked with me late notice to get the attic fixed up within a day.

Great service!! I was a bit hesitant to do renovations to my kitchen because of pervious bad experiences with other companies but over all I had an amazing experience. The communication was clear and certain deadlines were met. I look forwarded to using them again for other projects.

Using rexco was the best decision I ever made. They made renovating my bathrooms a breeze. They answered all my questions and helped me with buying materials within my budget. Definitely recommend! :-)

This was a nightmare from beginning to end. They will give you a project manager who will say yes to everything and then fail to deliver. Removed doorstop to do tile and doorknob made hole in wall. They wanted to use a plastic adhesive doorstop to cover up the hole they made. Glass in bathroom had to be done twice so I ended up with twice as many holes in bathroom tile. They lacked the craftsmanship to get the t molding right and I ended up settling for poor work. My old bath tub sat in my front yard for a month. Clean up was almost non existent. I even had to get rid of old glass doors myself. Project took over 3 months to complete.

Professional along with great quality of work. The foreman on my project kept me updated with progress in detail. Reliable and work was done as they predicted. Great experience with Rex Const. CO.

Rex Construction took care of renovating my house after a water damage incident and they did a fantastic job! They were responsive and took care of everything with the insurance as well. That was a great piece of mind and I would recommend them to anyone.

Such a wonderful construction place, Great employees, I believe I spoke to the owner Rex and he was Amazing this is place is top level!!! They abandoned it, then promised to finish but were so rude, disrespectful and acted like I was being a bother. So I fired them, beware, if you speak up and don't treat them like gods they will screw you over to

I contacted Rex Construction for some remodel work on my house. They did a phenomenal job. The project manager was incredibly responsive and answered all my questions on time.

My first time to do home improvement with Rex construction. All the staff so helpful , even my house still in halfway to finish but I don’t feel insecure or worry because they are so professional and responsible for their job
And I know they going to finish this project on time.
