Very painless process. Got roof and solar done. Roof was done in just a bit over two days and Soalr in one. Quick, efficient and effortless. Ryan's communication was on point as well as the entire Reno Solar team. HIGHLY recommended!

Update: they won’t provide customer service after install. DO NOT HIRE THEM. The management does not want to help their overworked staff or their customers. I would stay away from a poorly run company and go to Costco for solar. It took 6months to get Reno solar installed. Frustrating process too.

I have waited a few months to share my experience to make sure I provided a fair review of my experience and the system this team built for me. I had a small hiccup with the inspection but the team made sure to keep me up to date to make sure any concerns I had were answered. I got my PTO in late November which meant at first I was not able to see the full value of the panels but now that the days are getting slightly longer, I am seeing the value. Come summer time, these will most definitely cover our needs. My only gripe was when I tried to call their office. I will give them the benefit of the doubt and I always missed them when I called or they were busy with someone else but when I left a message they always got back to me. Overall, it's taken some time but I am happy with what we got! Thank you Ryan and Reno Solar team!

Brett from Reno Solar decided it was appropriate to knock on my door after seeing and verbally acknowledging my clearly placed “No Soliciting” sign in front of my house. It’s there for a reason! Reno Solar is not the exception. If you can respect people’s property why would I ever hire your company to install solar on my home.

It started off strong with Reno Solar, but then went downhill when we went to installation. It took about 3-4 trips over a couple weeks for them to get everything installed on a relatively small project at my home that should have been done in 1 day. And now, it’s been about 3 months (!) since installation and we still haven’t had the initial inspection to turn the system on. Once we have that inspection, we still then will need another inspection from NV energy to make it functional. There’s been reschedule after reschedule and some no shows, both with the inspection and the final installations. Some of the issues were with other parties that Reno Solar has to coordinate with, but some were also staff turnover, which I think is a problem in the industry in general.

On the plus side, they’ve been pretty communicative overall. The guys who installed seemed great but again they seemed to be missing parts or had measurements that were off, which is why they had to come back so often.

Super frustrating overall - still optimistic that we like the system and it functions well.

Update: 6 weeks later and still not functional. Going on 5 months since installation began. A couple more reschedules in the past month.

EXCELLENT SERVICE! Working in ElectricCars com for 28 years I knew we had to find the best to install our home solar system. Aaron and his crew really designed us a system completely eliminating our NV energy bill forever! (Aside from that $17 admin fee NV Energy threatens to increase... that's when we'll add batteries and "Rid the Grid!") Even when we encountered a technical snag Reno Solar solved it very well. The panels look awesome, no wires showing, fast install. A++

We checked other solar panel installer companies in Northern Nevada and chose Reno Solar because of their prompt customer response and good value.
The solar panels were just installed and the “team 1” crew did a great job and cleaned up afterwards.
I strongly recommend contacting Reno Solar if you are interested in getting solar panels for your home.

I have had the system for almost a year. i am now having trouble with my gateway and getting it connected to the internet. i have called multiple times, left messages and when i do talk someone i am assured i will receive a call back. but i am now going on over a lonth and have yet to have someone reach out to me. i feel like once the system was installed i am now of little importance. The customer service is a joke. I just want help fixing my system that they installed and they seem like they couldn't care less.

Your sales team is harassing our neighborhood, which is private property, claiming that they have appointments. I know that's not true, since I have no interest in solar at the moment, and have nothing scheduled with anyone.

I would never trust a company that would lie like this. If I ever decide to go solar, you can trust I won't even entertain your company. If you can't tell the basic truth, why would I trust you with my money?

Crew 1 did a great job installing my solar system. They showed up when they said. They were super polite and they were the ultimate professionals. They completed the job on time and all systems were go when they left the premises.

The team was fantastic! Please keep me in the loop every step of the way. They were super professional, and everything went smoothly and quickly. I can’t wait to see that energy bill disappear!

It has been a true pleasure to work with Reno Solar for my Solar Electric project. I originally contacted Tesla to see what they would propose for my home and was greatly disappointed with their answer. Conduit running on the outside of the roof, also requiring me to replace my roof ten years early and no possibility of a ground based system. That’s when I approached Reno Solar.

The Sales representative, Aaron, gave me the time to explain their solution to my concerns and put together a package reflecting my needs. I had a time constraint since I wanted to receive the Federal tax credit that year and work was begun in a timely manner so that I could offset a third of the system expense against my tax bill. I mean, that’s a no brainer, why give the government money when you can put it into your own home? Reno Solar made that possible.

Special thanks to my project manager Tara who was so patient with my persistent questions. I never had to wait more than 24 hours to receive responses to my emails and all calls were quickly returned. She kept me in the loop on scheduling remaining flexible to my needs. Also, kudos to my site foreman, Joseph. A very hard working young man who obviously takes pride in his product and his team. I’m a techie nerd and he didn’t hesitate to educate me about the system when I asked.

If I was to do anything different, I would suggest signing the contract in the winter for a Spring start since we did experience some weather and supply chain delays, but no fault of the company. I am now producing twice as much electricity and I am consuming, building a Summer reserve for the Winter months. It was a pleasure to work with a group of conscientious people who obviously have a passion for their work and the benefit it provides. I highly recommend Reno Solar for your solar project.

From the beginning stages of signing papers to the actual install, Reno Solar has been fantastic! We are so pleased with the service. Jory was absolutely wonderful in explaining every last detail and was such a pleasure to work with. I definitely have to give props to Kelsea as well. When we were having problems and the micro inverters weren’t working a few months back, she went above and beyond to help us, always polite and always super responsive. One of my worst customer service experiences ever. Sales representative called us stubborn and told us that he doesn't like to do residential sales because he didn't make enough money. We contacted the office to see if we could switch sales representative and explained our experience. The office manager was very understanding about it and attempted to resolve the issue. Unfortunately, she was told that she could not change our sales rep. Although we did like what Reno Solar had to offer, we decided to go with other company that made us feel valued and respected as customers.

The owner of the company contacted my wife and I to remedy the situation. He went above and beyond to explain the situation and gave us a very sincere apology. This was very much appreciated.

My total experience with Reno solar has been absolutely wonderful. From the team that came out to talk to us about the value of going solar, to the variety of phone contacts around scheduling and ultimately, Team One who did the install.
Not only did Team One take good care of our home, they did a remarkable job managing my 8 pound Yorkshire Terrier (Terrorist). They even had a great goodbye for him (Winston) when they left at the end of the day.

We met with Alex Zhoul in early August, and the system was installed by a four-man crew in early September. They were only there for half a day, but it passed all inspections. It is a 14 panel system. The system was activated on October 10th by NV Energy.

Reno Solar installed my solar back in 2021, the experience was so great I recommended that my mother in law go solar. Once she saw the outrageous rates NV Energy started charging she decided to pull the plug and go solar. The only company we would trust to take care of her is Reno Solar. She had her system installed September 6th and is absolutely thrilled with it. Connor and another Reno Solar emnployee Cayla Alu were both fantastic in their care and communication as we climbed over a few hurdles and adjustments we had to make along the way. Reno Solar’s reps and work crew always made me feel like they cared, and they’ve been great about making things right at every opportunity. I believe Connor is no longer with the company but he has still helped out a few times to liason with Reno Solar to make sure everything was going proper and right. I fully endorse him and Reno Solar. My system is running smoothly and it feels great to have it financially and environmentally.

The only thing I disliked was some various delays in getting approvals from Nv Energy, but that was offset by great communication and empathetic effort from Reno Solar to see my project through. Now it’s running smooth and I love it

I had Reno Solar install 11 solar panels on our roof last December and it’s definitely been the best decision. My most recent electric bill was $17 and that’s just basic service charge and various fees that NV Energy charges. We’ve used our air conditioner and the panels are covering our needs. We are definitely saving money.
Jory and his staff and crews were always available to answer my questions and always professional and courteous.
If you’re on the fence about Solar I highly Recommend Reno Solar. There was no money out of pocket and my monthly payment and NV energy’s fees is less then what I was paying for electricity.

I want to thank Reno Solar and the Whole Company, and Crew for Taking care of me in what was a stressful time in my life. I had so many companies from other states come and try to get me to go with them, but they were All out-of-state. I wanted someone local, I knew I could be in contact with right away and found Reno Solar.
From Start to Finish (more than a few months, because of glitches) I was taken care of. Even the lending company they put me with were amazing, and what a great rate. I did not have to Pay a dime to get this all done. The Goodleap company gave me a rate that is so much cheaper than the NV Energy monthly bill, It was a Win Win all the way.
I must say I could not have done this without Cayla, and Fernando. They were on top of and in contact every step of the way. Cayla would call me to update me all the time, letting me know that I was not forgotten.
The Installers - Tristin, Dillion, Jordan & Steven were THE BEST, love, love, love them.. What Fantastic Guys. The Sweetest, kindest most hard working guys, I have come across. They were so professional and knocked out the Installation in one day. (and not a small job).
All the Inspections were done in a timely matter, Fire Department, County Inspector and Now the NV Energy man, who turned out to be the Dearest man. There is no other Solar company I would recommend. My neighbors are watching me to see how it goes and I have referred and recommended Reno Solar. With the cost of energy and gas going up, I am looking to save a lot, because being on a fixed income is not fun.

The only problem with this company is that they’re not in more states. Jory, the owner, is a stand up business owner and respected person within the solar community. There is no better place to spend your money when it comes to renewable energy! Shout to Reno Solar!

I believe Reno Solar is a good company but they partnered with G3 which is an awful company. From my understanding, Reno Solar is no longer working with G3 which is a good choice. G3 is awful, they screwed up the net metering agreement with NVENERGY 4 times resulting an 8 month wait to produce power. I would recommend Reno Solar now since they have completely disassociated from G3. Call Reno Solar, they do their own installs now and are completely self sufficient.

I had a great experience with Reno Solar . My original consultant was very friendly and professional, but I ended up finishing my business with Cayla. She did an amazing job at Reno Solar kept everything on time and in line, and she kept me in the loop through every step of the process so happy you’re able to get this job done. When another company dropped the ball, Reno Solar picked it up and ran with it. Their customer satisfaction is something to admire and strive for. Great experience so far with Reno Solar. The crew that came out to install the panels communicated with us and worked around the weather, despite it not being a great time to be on a roof. I have had other workers become non-responsive with bad weather and reschedule weeks out but the crew came out as quickly as possible and the panels look great. Jory, from Reno Solar came to my house to discuss the opportunity to go Solar. He went over my bill with me, advised the best options and approved me for the panels in less than an hour. He also told me that I would be able to use my tax credit to apply for the panels! The crew came on the day to install the panels, made sure to check with me to make sure I was aware of what/how they were doing it. The process does take a few months from start to finish. but Jory, Steve and the rest of Reno Solar were there to answer questions the whole time.
Today, NV Energy finally came over to turn on my solar. I look forward to the savings, where we have calculated my power bill going from $380 down to $19 for power! I highly recommend Reno Solar. Researching your Solar needs can be confusing. We had a lot of questions for our sales agent, Will Sharif.

Will was professional and knowledgeable and with us through the entire process.

We talked about the different systems, our power usage, and placement of panels.

All questions and concerns were answered, expectations were provided, in addition to all the support offered.

We would recommend Reno Solar and consider them a reputable company!

Update: Reno Solar has failed inspection twice with the city. Maybe I will be able to access solar power 2023 at this rate.
Well first they scheduled an inspection at 11am-12pm. I waited until 12:45pm when I called them to get told they are a still a little late and if I could continue to wait. The inspector showed up after 2pm and I had to make several calls and texts to get any kind of response. We signed the contract over 2 months ago and have gotten NO updates unless I reach out to them. At one point their system was setup to route my calls to number for someone on vacation so I couldn't even contact the company directly. Please be sure to read what you are signing because they will take as long as possible to get this done.

I still can't utilize solar power due to the delays Reno Solar has created

I have known Jory Daine Mack for a little while now. Since day one he has shown me his big heart and how professional he is every time we speak.

I'm sure not only provides a great service, but his personality and good vibes are contagious.

My representative Steve was awesome! Not only did he educate me on my solar system and what it could and could not do, he was very informative on what to expect throughout the process. All I'm doing now is waiting on NV Energy to "flip the switch" and I'll be going solar!

Professional, efficient and courteous. I never felt as though I was being pressured for sales. And mt panels seem to being doing very well (in spite of our Reno smoke cloud issues).
