Jackson is very helpful! He spend tons of time helping us find what we need and offer amazing advices. Extremely kind and knowledgeable. Amazing customer service and excellent shopping experience. We went through so many different stores and finally got what we need here!

Passing through went in with two demolished bikes and my boy Colby shorted us out with impressive speed. The bike wizard with endless knowledge and skill!

This is a smaller REI, but the staff are incredible. Shout out to Jose, his customer service is unmatched in the Tetons

Incredible team behind the bike/ski repair shop. Colby takes the anxiety out of admitting you don't know how to fix your bike! Every time I have gone in for a repair or question he is extremely kind, friendly and willing to share his knowledge. I greatly appreciate his expertise and the environment he and his team creates.

Sarah was amazing and very helpful . All the other staff were great also. We got what we needed and are very happy. The store was clean and well organized.

Nice enough REI. Grabbed some winter needs that we didn't want to pack for our trip from the east coast. It was smaller than I expected for the city we were in but it had everything we were looking for (winter boots, snow goggles, some wool layers).

Popped in today to grab a new set of bootlaces for my hiking shoes as one had frayed out.

Employee who helped me was enthusiastic, didn’t try to push any sales on me and also recommended a great local hike to check out, including showing me the map on AllTrails on his phone. Really going above and beyond for someone visiting the area as a tourist.

Didn’t get his name but he was tall, slim build with dark brown hair. A real credit to your store.

I just purchased a wonderful new bike with the help from Colby. He made sure it fit me(I’m very short!). He recommended some safety equipment. He demonstrated how to lubricate the chain, fill the tires…. He went over and above all expectations. I felt that he valued my business. I have been to other bike shops in Jackson, and was not treated with the care and concern Colby demonstrated. A truly remarkable experience. I SO recommend buying a bike at REI, with Colby’s special attention! Thanks!

This location is easy to get to, and it’s stocked with what you need - plain and simple. I came in here for a VERY specific osprey 55 bag, which they had - in a great color I might add - and we were messin’ with the adjustments about to jet when LO & BEHOLD! Bri swooped in and said “lemme fix you up!”
Did we need fixin’? Yep. Were we asking for it? I think she had a sixth sense about service. And a strong one. Was I expecting attention? Nahh, not at all.
We’ve been on plenty of backpacking adventures but hadn’t quite tuned in our packs. And I kid you not, we just needed one or two specific adjustments that Bri was incredibly knowledgeable about. The specifics that make ALL the difference were attuned to our builds in a snap and it was like wearing a new pair of shoes.
Do yourself a favor when hunting some gear down, and go find Bri. She’s got hustle, passion and unmatched drive to get you taken care of.

Went almost a year ago, camping and had a tear in my rain jacket. and needed a rain jacket asap. the staff was very helpful. and didn't immediately point me to the most expensive jackets. they were informative on which were the lightest and which were good for me because of the trails we had planned that day. staff was supper friendly and funny. 10/10 would highly recommend

I am in the middle of a bike packing trip, and the bike shop here provided extremely friendly and prompt service. I also had a leak in my sleeping pad, and REI replaced it for basically free. Huge huge thank you - this amazing service is why I keep coming back!!

Colby is the best. Came in for a wheel true and derailleur adjustment. On a test ride, Colby noticed an issue with one of my pedals–it was slightly crooked from a fall a few weeks earlier. I’ve been on a cross country tour and no other bike shop identified the problem. Since the fix my posture is totally improved. Colby is a true expert mechanic!

I recently had an exceptional experience at REI, thanks to Colby, the bike tech. He went above and beyond by not only fixing our bike quickly and efficiently, he also patiently explained the different parts of the bike to my five-year-old son and how they work, turning a routine repair into a fun and educational moment. The service was fast, efficient, and truly outstanding. Kudos to Colby for his excellent customer service and for making our visit a memorable one! Highly recommend!

REI is awesome, but today was truly special. The Jackson REI trailside bike repair class was a lot of fun, very hands on and practical for my teenage kids. They got greasy while learning how to tune their own bikes, thanks to Colby. I learned a lot, too. Thank you, REI!

You need to give Colby in the bike repair apartment a huge raise or clone him. Every time I’ve been in there (at least 6 times this year) he is trouble shooting or consulting while being kind and approachable. We are lucky to have him, but you are luckier

My family and I were moving from Mobile, AL to Ventura, CA. We stopped in Jackson to show the kids the natural beauty of the Tetons, Yellowstone Park, and the charm of the town. While loading up our cargo topper I noticed one of the attaching hardware for my cross bars was backing itself out and I didn’t have the tools needed to fix it.
I tried asking the team at the local REI if they had the tools I needed and they were so friendly and accommodating. In particular, Colby from the bike shop went out of his way to help, and he was able to fix the problem. The service and expertise at REI Jackson was excellent. Thank you guys!

As usual another corporate store that knows nothing about the area they open in. Four feet of snow on the ground, two months of winter left but they took down the winter clothing and boots and already have shorts and tennis shoes out. Just like all the other corporate stores that tried it in the very spot they are in now, will be gone in 5 years or less because they stock nationally instead of regenal or locally. The locals won't buy and they won't make it on the tourists alone. They will never learn.

Dave was so nice and helpful not just with finding the right boots but gave excellent recommendations on activities in the area

Would highly recommend going here for all needs both gear and repairs. Colby was a tremendous help in the repair shop. He repaired skis, skins and had us squared away in no time!

As much as I try to support smaller local stores, REI in Jackson is an incredible customer focused local (bigger) store with the heart of a smaller store. Their one year, seemingly no questions asked return policy is incredible. I was able to return skis I bought last year simply because I wasn't happy with their performance.
And the service, especially from the bike shop (Colby in particular) is highest quality and wonderfully friendly.

I forgot to bring a water proof jacket on vacation. I went to REI and found exactly what I wanted and got a coupon for $20 off my next purchase.

This is a great REI. Particularly the repair shop I have to give a huge shout out to - everytime I an in there whether it be a bike issue, a ski needing some love, or anything in between the staff is so patient, gives you the time of day, and always gets the job done. So appreciative to have a no-frills, well priced ski/bike shop to do business with.

Super helpful and available staff. Found what I needed very quickly...bear spray, snacks for our hike, a new trail hat, and a top base layer (on sale ). Very clean and organized store.

Quality clothing a relief from outlet stores, not impressed with everything in there but that is what shopping is all about. Can't comment on some sporting goods.

This isn't particular to this specific store, although in this store I have the same experience as the others. Going to REI I feel very pressured to join the coop. I understand it has to do with store goals and what they consider "success" for the coop and that's why it's so pushy. But from a customer point of view you'll be looking at a shirt and you'll have 3 people ask you if you're a member in a 5 minute timeframe. It's not organic either -- literally out of nowhere "are you a member?". Overall I like REI and enjoy browsing the store, just this aspect bothers me.

Awesome service shop. We were on a weekend bike trip in the area and my husband broke a spoke. We came in about an hour before closing to see how long it would be before we could get it fixed (thinking it would be at least a day) but Michael said he would be down to try to get it done that night.

Michael and Amy and other staff were super pleasant even though we kept them late, and gave us some pointers for camping and trails. We are super stoked that we didn’t even have to miss any riding for our weekend trip.

Super nice store. But even better repair shop. Jacob took pity on me and helped repair my backpack. At the end, wouldn't charge me and declined a tip. Very sweet helpful courteous young man really made my vacation better, so I didn't have to tie my backpack across my chest.

Just had a great experience ordering a bike with Amy. Knowledgeable, helpful and patient. The bike team in the back also helped and made me feel confident in my purchase. Can’t wait to pick it up in a few weeks!

This was our first time at this location. We normally go to large stores. This is a small door, but it still has enough options to choose from. I was looking for a heavier coat and found one. We picked up more freeze-dried food and some other items. The staff was very attentive and very nice. This is the closest store for us, so we will be returning.

Kai, Deanie and everyone at the Jackson store were so helpful and kind. They took excellent care of my daughter & I. Definitely recommend!

Everyone working here is more than friendly and helpful. I know it sounds like early on they had some inventory issues but it’s not the fault of the employees working there. Note: they do not have a rental department due to their store size, which is a pity.

Brought my daughter's pathway bike in for a derailleur adjustment and REI Bike Boss Colby jumped right on it with a smile and humorous commentary. 5 minutes later, on my way. Thanks!

I called since I was having some problems with my bike rack. They ordered some parts for me no upfront charge or questions asked.

The manager Kai was super helpful and friendly and asked me to come back the next day when their shop tech was in to save us both some time troubleshooting.

The next day Colby was an absolute beast and did whatever it took to solve the problem and brought me in on the whole process. He was without a doubt twice as powerful as any other employee they have there. Get this guy a pay raise. He used a few spare parts around the shop and didn’t nickel and dime me for them.

Overall, very pleasant experience getting my rack fixed!

Been getting those free waxes for members for a minute now and the staff is qicked friendly. Namely Kai, he is the absolute MAN!

Will be coming back for the customer service!

It’s nice that they have an REI nearby, stopped in to grab a couple last-minute items I forgot to bring before the Teton climb last year.

It’s definitely not a huge store. Just be aware they might not have what you’re looking for.

Not all superheroes wear capes, some wear a apron and work in the the repair shop. Cobley saved our trip! Honestly I can not thank him enough! He is the man and the go to for all your needs! Seriously go see him!

Today I went into REI looking to get a pair of ski boots, or at least get a general idea of what ski boots I would want to get for my style of skiing. I was immediately greeted by Zach L. who took his time to measure out my feet and pick out a wide selection of boots based on my boot sizing and skiing abilities. After picking a boot, Zach took his time to make sure that every aspect of the boot would work for me, from the boot flex, to pinch points, to the toe box. Once I confirmed that I wanted to buy the boots, he also threw in a free shell/liner mold free of charge. Throughout the whole process, he was thorough and really made sure that the boots I was picking out were right for me, he also mentioned that if I were to have any issues with my boot, he'd be more than happy to help adjust/punch out the boot. Additionally, all REI member get a 1 year warranty if the boots aren't perfect. Thumbs up to REI and Zach - a true reflection of the Co-op spirit!

Absolute A+ job helping us order all the many parts to install feet, bars, and a ski box on our old Audi. Colby did the install on a freezing, snowy day with a smile on his face. REI is a great company in general, but this is top local service at a more-than-reasonable price and we appreciate it more than one review can express.

I brought skis in to the REI ski shop for the first time this weekend. The experience was incredible!! First of all, I’m typically anxious about ski-related inquiries/support because I’m still new to skiing. But fear not! Colby, the manager at the gear shop, was incredibly welcoming. His personality and workflow enabled a painless ski drop off (& pick up). I had no idea how phenomenal the REI in Jackson was! The staff here make it a worthy stop for a local or visitor. If you are a bit anxious like myself, stop by to ask questions to get a feel for what you need for a safe outdoor experience. They’ll point you in the right direction!! Also - for any ski work the prices here can’t be beat. Highly recommend :)

BUYER BEWARE...DO NOT BUY FROM REI! As a member for over 2 decades I am deeply disappointed that REI's customer service and satisfaction guarantee no longer exists. It used to be they stood behind their products. I purchased 2 backpacking tents (REI brand) and these tents were only used a handful of times and only the last 3 summers. The poles were defective on one tent and the rain fly was defective on the other. I was simply wanting replacement parts or a repair. Not a single person at the Jackson store had any suggestions. They simply said there was NOTHING they could do. WILL CANCEL OUR MEMBERSHIP AFTER BEING A MEMBER FOR OVER 20 YEARS and will NEVER shop at REI again. There are many local stores to buy outdoor equipment in Jackson. Go shop at SKINNY SKIS, JD OUTFITTERS, HOBACK SPORTS anywhere else but REI! They have superb customer service and stand behind their products.

For a new store, they have a wonderful selection and amazing customer service! I have had people sit with me for more than two hours talking about gear and adventures. The bike / ski shop is efficient and courteous to their customers regarding labor. A fun place to stop in when exploring the Tetons.

I was just looking a daily driver style of boot, and Brandy absolutely blew me away with her product knowledge. As someone who is looking for employees in Jackson I have to say Brandy is 1 of a kind And you should do everything possible to empower her and keep her in this town.

Colby was such an amazing helper! We got all the info we needed in a timely manner, he was so polite to me and our daughter who was getting her first bike, and made sure we were squared away before we left. Thank you!

It's REI, you know it's not going to be cheap but you know they have the knowledge to help you prepare for whatever activity you are about to engage in. When you can get a good deal, it's a 5!

My wife and I went in to purchase new hiking and running shoes. We ended up spending 2 hours, but ultimately found what we wanted with much-needed assistance from Trai and Alina. These two, along with other staff during previous visits, were wonderful - well-knowledgeable and hard-working. We appreciate all of the patience, and taking all of our needs and concerns into consideration to help us find the perfect pair of hiking and running shoes (I have feet that over-pronate and make finding the right shoes difficult).

I've enjoyed every single REI I've been, but this one stands out as the best one I've ever been to. The staff, especially the bike service guys, are all incredibly helpful. I finished an 1100 mile section of the GDMBR here and they were super helpful in helping me ship my bike. Special shout-out to Jake especially!

My family and I went to this REI last week, during our vacation to the Tetons. Before our vacation, I looked at my nearest REI, and I didn't find anything that I really liked. I was looking for a good pair of hiking boots, since during our trip, we were walking the 16 mile Lake Solitude trail in the Tetons. Everyone there was very nice and helpful, and I found a pair of shoes that were perfect!

I took my bike in for a tune up and to get the cable on the dropper post fixed on my bike. They did an absolutely terrible job. The dropper post was worse than when I brought it in, my fork seals started leaking after I picked the bike up, my seat was torn, the rear brake disc was bent, and my cassette was shifting a lot worse. DO NOT take your bike to rei for maintenance. You’re much better off paying a higher price and going to fitzgeralds or hoback.

Trai was very knowledgeable and helpful when I was needing a nice pair of trail shoes. Drove down from Cooke City while visiting Yellowstone National Park and the Reebok trail shoes I had just weren't comfortable. Walked out with a very comfortable pair of Merrell trail shoes that cost me less than my 2 year old Reeboks. Friendliest employees you'll find anywhere!
