R.A.D Custom Homes

I hired RAD Custom Homes for a simple spare bathroom remodel. I provided a 40% deposit for the work. The work should have started on October 9th. I have not received any communication from the business or Adrain Cruz, the sales representative. Numerous calls and texts have been made to the company, and Mr. Cruz have gone unanswered. Do not hire this company!

We have an adult family home that needed work done. RAD was paid in full. They totally screwed us. We missed the deadline for our application and that started a spiral of "Bad" Daniel took our money, didn't file the permits for the work, and ghosted us. He is planning to file for bankruptcy to avoid paying back the money he stole. Avoid RAD!

This company has taken over 25K and have ghosted us. They are not answering calls, emails, texts and have locked their doors. They pulled down their website as of 9/19 . Adrian was our contact. We also were working with Derek and Daniel for product orders, billing and scheduling. The crew did demo the primary bath and bed, but have done very little in the actual remodel. Obviously I’d encourage you to avoid them, but also be mindful of your contractors license and bonding. We have reasons to believe that there was fraudulent numbers given when researching their credentials. Finding an honest and reliable contractor has been impossible for us. Best of luck to you. We have contacted the BBB and are contacting the attorneys general office as well. Hopefully we can reclaim some of the money they have stolen.

The crews on site have been great. Unfortunately they ran out of things to do. Project manager Adrian has now gone completely unresponsive to email and calls as to where he he products are, that are to be put in, or what products have been actually ordered.
There is multiple notes on the office door requesting contact from multiple clients with similar problems.

At this point I’d recommend taking your business elsewhere, only due to middle/upper management issues, and what is shaping up to be fraud. The crews were great, and the work was top notch. Will update after 48 hours and legal counsel.
UPDATE: they have taken down their site and are closing their I street office. The Owners name, is Daniel. He will probably pop up under another LLC in the near future. This is his second address, the first was based out of Spanaway. We are reaching out to the AG office, and seeking legal council as today.

I provided RAD with a 50% deposit over 30 days ago to rebuild my bathrooms… a job that I was told would take 3-4 days. I picked out materials 3 weeks ago and have not received a single update or confirmation that my materials were in fact ordered. I have called and texted all the RAD contacts that I have with no success. Today I learned that their voicemail box is full. I understand that scheduling delays happen but the lack of communication is beyond unprofessional and completely unreasonable. I have been living out of a hotel for over 4 months because I don’t have functioning bathrooms, and I am now being hassled by my insurance company about the hotel extensions as they provided the settlement funds over 30 days ago and the work should be completed by now. I saw someone else make a similar review recently that got the business attention, so this is my last ditch effort before filing a complaint with BBB.

Edit: I have been requesting an update since Oct 5th. Last heard from them Aug 31st. I'm noticing that several of the other reviewers are having the same issue. I've review via BBB. I guess I'll join the those going to AG.

Update: I don't know why it's so hard to get a response from this company. At the one month mark from when they said they were ordering supplies, I requested an update and to know how long it usually takes for supplies to come in. Text, email, voice-mail, two weeks later and no response. I wish I could get a refund and scrap this project. We have no faith that things are going to be correctly.

EDIT: To be transparent, I have been contacted and things are moving again. I was told the delay and lack of communication is due to change in staffing. Since I can't delete this post, I will update again at the end of the service.

I placed a deposit in July. Before then the rep was very attentive and I felt comfortable that they would be good to work with. Shortly after my deposit, I got a call from someone that said the previous rep was no longer with them. He told me the name and number on his phone was his and that he would be calling me back soon. I never heard from him. I waited a few weeks and then reached out to the CEO, Daniel VanWagner. He told me someone would be calling me soon. I waited and again, no one called me. So I then requested a refund. Again, no answer. I tried calling and no one answers the phone. My next stop is BBB and then small claims I guess. EDIT: Thank you for a response. Our selection was never confirmed. We were told we would get to see a sample brought to us first or met the rep at the location where we could see the material. I will discuss this with whomever calls.

They did a wonderful job in a short amount of time!! Quality roof for a reasonable price. Zack & Matt were super friendly and went above beyond with the finishing work on our ceiling. We are so happy we called R.A.D. Custom Homes!!!

As hectic as our project was especially being in the middle of nowhere. RAD took care of all our needs. There were some faults and hickups, bit only things out of anyone's control. Once the issues were settled RAD was on top of getting our project done. We can't thank y'all enough!

I got my roof done by RAD Custom Homes and I couldn't be more satisfied. I got 3 bids and they came in at the lowest with great quality. 10/10 would recommend!

Rad custom homes was very awesome to work with for our roof installation. Jason was the one to help us to figure out our roof situation. He was very professional, communicative and easy to work with. He helped us get financing for the roof to make it very affordable. The roof looks amazing and will be referring my family, friends and neighbors to them to do any home remodel work. RAD replaced my roof a month and a half ago and they got it done FAST! I don't know how they got my number, but I was in the market for a new roof when they called and they came out promptly to do an estimate for a new roof and a bathroom remodel. The roof quote was a bit higher side than what I think I could've gotten with another installer, but Adrian the rep was courteous and seemed like a good guy so we went ahead a booked. We weren't expecting the installation to happen for a few weeks, but they were able to get everything scheduled and done just 2 weeks after the quote. Communication could have been better as I wasn't told exactly when the installers would be over or that they had to come back another day to finish something, but overall it was a fine experience, the work crew was nice, and the roof looks great.

Highly recommended company! Jason came out here to inspect my roof, he was very professional and great to work with. The process on geting my roof taken care of was easy, fast and it looks great. Any remodel needs, you need them to take care of it for you. Thank you again to Jason and the RAD staff!

I could not be more impressed with RAD Custom Homes. Not once did I feel like a customer but I felt like a friend they wanted to take care of. They added extra details that make my flooring look over the top. Booking was incredibly easy, they were very responsive, GREAT value, and I truly felt seen and cared for. The project was done faster than expected and we came home from out of town to beautiful new floors. I could not recommend a company more.

“I just have to write a review about this companies employee, Jason. When I inquired about a bathroom remodel for my elderly parents, I got the same day appointment. He arrived on time, friendly and prepared. He was knowledgeable, personable, patient and having parents in there 90’s, is sometimes a difficult appointment. One can’t hear real well, they have to tell you a story behind what they they want and what works for them…a lot of questions! But there was never a time they felt pressured or rushed. I appreciated him very much and would highly recommend them.

I had RAD out to look at converting my boathouse (which is just bare bones) into a fully functional office. Adrian and Jason were so friendly and knowledgeable. They seem like great guys all around. They have a whole team including every specialty you need - framer, plumber, electrician, etc. to take care of your entire project which is great because everyone is on the same page. They arrive when they say they will, they follow up on what they say they will, and are just an amazing team of guys.
We ended up having a family member be able to assist us at no cost so unfortunately we didn't get to go further with RAD, but they will be the only company I plan to use for any future projects. They really have their stuff together ❤

RAD did a good job with our bathroom remodel, and it was easy that all the services (painting, tiling, plumbing, and electrical) was all in-house. Project took longer than expected and ended up over budget, but they kept our only toilet functioning the whole time.

After living with the remodel for a month, there are some things that could have been done better. Grouting and painting aren't as precise as they could be.

I have ordered new flooring for my home from Rad Custom Homes based on the consultation with their representative, Adrian Cruz. I had received other bids, but Mr. Cruz stood out because of his professionalism, courtesy and knowledge of products. I appreciated his attitude that had no high pressure sales tactics. I feel confident in the product, Rad Custom Homes, and Adrian Cruz.

RAD homes is top notch Daniel really cares about the clients wants and needs. Work is amazing and they are super genuine breath of fresh air dealing with so many contractors in the past!
Seriously call them for any construction or remodel!

After a disastrous experience with another construction company my faith in contractors was renewed when I hired RAD. They did impeccable work on renovating my bathroom. Fair pricing, good communication, the time schedule was kept to and the finished product was fantastic! Special mention must go to Matt who did most of the work and who took great pride in his work and is work was outstanding. His attention to detail surpassed my own. I recommend RAD unequivocally.

We had tub to shower remodels done in 2 bathrooms and a half bath upgraded vanity with top and sink. Including ceiling exhaust fans in the 3 bathrooms.
The employees are punctional and professional. I am referring RAD Custom Homes to family members and another friend.
Will have them come back when ready for new kitchen counter tops.

Radhomes did amazing job ripped out carpet in my house put new flooring throughout my house. Install a new vanity in my bathroom. always on time communicate very well.

Everything with this contracting company was exactly what was presented. This is the first contractor that I have worked with that actually finished my remodel work on time as quoted. Daniel and Randy were knowledgeable and made it easy to trust them with my project. I have already booked them to help with additional work on my new home.
