Original 1930's farmhouse with original bathroom. Had entire Bathroom replaced to include rotted floor and joists. The entire project was completed and now is better than ever. Our Property Renters are so pleased. The Materials and finishes used are very nice. The Process from 1st contact, thru the estimation process and final completion were so easy. QHI was very knowledgeable, friendly and most importantly PROFESSIONAL. We could not be happier. You can use Quality Home Improvement and feel confident that you will get a quality job done. We have been using Quality Home Improvement for home and business repairs/work for just over 2 years now. We have always had a wonderful experience with ever aspect. We have had new windows installed, plumbing, AC/Furnace work, flood repairs, a basement remodel, and at our business we have a countless jobs completed above expectation levels! Quality work done right the first time, always completed in a timely manner by professional and friendly staff. I have referred several friends and business owners who have also been very happy with their results. Great company. Highly recommend!

Quality Home Improvement was a referral from Kansas City Building Supply to install replacement windows. We love the windows (Milgard Tuscany) we purchased from KCBS. The window install, not so much. I could name several issues I had with the install by Quality Home Improvement, but I will address what I feel is the most important problem. Water leaking around windows due to sub standard installation.

One window kept leaking, so we had a window specialist come out to evaluate. He suggested to remove and re-install the unit. I agreed as I thought it was worth $200 to find out how the windows were installed. We found that there were gaps in the caulking and the caulking used was hardened as they used an inferior caulk (not window caulk at $16 per tube) that did not remain flexible. The window came right out as there were no screws holding it in place; only nails. Finally, there was not one inch of flashing tape used to seal out air and water leaks! All of these are described as industry standards for a basic replacement window installation. I now wish I would have paid the extra $600 and had Windura in Overland Park install the windows. I will end up paying more than that for the rework. Quality Home Improvement might do a fine job on other types of work, but there is no way I would recommend them for a replacement window install job.

An update. I had all the windows re-installed with the final arch shaped unit re-installed last week. The installation of this unit by Quality Home Improvement was even worst than the others. In addition to the lack of flashing tape and screws, what few nails they used did use not contact anything that would hold the window in place. The trim boards was the only thing holding the window in the opening. And one piece of trim had no nails. Only caulk was used to "glue" it in place. It's a wonder the window never fell out of the opening. The owner of QHI stated he would stop by the house daily to check the work. That did not happen. Saw him to bid the job and pay him for what turned out to be the worst job I have ever encountered. I wish this evaluation site allowed me to give this company zero stars as this is all that Quality Home Improvement deserves. No exaggerations, just facts!
