I believe Phillip is a man of integrity, but I cannot say the same for his crew. When I first met with him for a quote, he was very thorough about what needed to be done and what Putnam Pro would do. He was the highest quote, but I chose him because I believed he/his crew would do the job as described. Two parts of the job were to caulk and stain exterior. I was told his crew would apply two coats of stain, but in some places, not even one coat was applied. Similarly, the caulking was not done until I pointed out to him that his crew was not doing it – I was told they would apply the caulk after the first stain and before the second stain, but this was not the case which made me wonder if they even applied a second coat in some places.

After I pointed it out, Phillip did caulk a 9x8 portion of my cabin near the front door, but other than where I pointed out caulking needed to be done, it was not done by his crew and definitely not between stain coats. There are multiple areas with the same size or larger gaps that were not caulked (see photo) which is disappointing because his attention to this detail when he gave the quote is one of the reasons I didn’t mind paying more for Putnam Pro.

Favorable things he did was to seal my stone chimney and paint the top cap and other non-wood components of the cabin in a nice flat black coat which makes the cabin look more finished. He also power washed my road sign. Additionally he left me part of a can of stain so I can hit the place(s) his crew did not stain at all.
Bottom line is that if you go with Putnam Pro, make sure Phillip is there as much as possible – I could not get straight answers about why some things were NOT being done from his crew (communication barrier) and you need to document what his crew is actually doing, not what they are telling Phillip they did. If his crew was supervised more closely, I feel I could confidently give 5 stars because the work would have most likely been done completely and professionally.

We had Putnam Pro Refresh the entire outside of our mountain house property. They used different wash techniques depending on the surface and then stained all of the wood. I wish that there were more stars than 5 to give! This is the most professional, and responsive business you will find in Ellijay. From my first inquiry to get a quote, until the end of the job, they showed up without fail when they said they would, did everything they were supposed to do without me having to lift a finger or remind them of anything. Phillip sent so many pictures and videos of the process along the way. Communication was perfect, the workmanship was perfect, the care they exhibit for the customer and their property is stellar. I would not hesitate to use them again for any service that they offer. I think the pricing is reasonable, especially when they over-deliver on your expectations. I cannot recommend them enough! They may have a little bit of a wait depending on the size and scope of your job, but it's totally worth it. Our house looks brand new! Thank you Phillip, Meshelle, and the whole crew who worked on our project!

Mr. Putnam pressure washed our house (concrete/stucco), surrounding concrete patio, shingles etc. Excellent job!!!! Ethical with a great demeanor/personality and very non intimidating with our questions. Gave us and estimate then came back on the date agreed upon and was punctual ! Exceeded expectations. Good pricing ! Our home literally looked like it did when it was first built (over 13 years ago). Right as he was almost finished he looked over and seen my daughters basketball goal and cleaned it too. Your not going to find this kind of service everywhere that is for certain. Very blessed !

Phillip Putnam did not deal honestly with the property owner and altered the job in order to maximize profit. He forged lame excuses instead of fixing what was messed up. The deck work went well as did the painting, but the bathroom shower was left leaking. Professional plumbing service was also critical of the job after their follow-up inspection since we could not get the bathroom job fixed by Putnam. Per the owner's request, I did not go politely confront Phillip (He was a neighbor.). I would not recommend this company based upon this experience.

Putnam Pro just completed our log home and did an awesome job. They are very knowledgeable about the products to use. All the workers were professional and did exceptional work. Putnam Pro will do all my future home staining, pressure washing and asphalt driveway sealing
