As a red seal journeyman and 20 year seasoned veteran I find annoying when I get the run around when I call a contractor and get no where.

I called Proline Roofing yesterday, today I get a call back at 9 AM today, stating there is two different departments for proline and I would need to call back in a couple weeks to talk to someone who can handle everything. This was on voice mail. So I called back and " Jennifer" was not in the office. I asked to speak to the owner to explain how I wanted to be treated, example they need to coordinate when they can get a quote done, and let me know, not make me beg in two weeks to see if I can get a quote....I just wanted to be treated ( like a human ) but in reality I manage strata buildings and am use to sub primals who work for a company not caring enough about being cordial and polite to the customer.

When I called Jennifer back,

The man who answered who did not speak English well was polite but would not put me in touch with the owner. Flat out refused to give me his name and number, so I left my name and number.

I am stunned that anyone would have to wait 2 weeks, then be forced to call back again for a quote.

No thanks. When it comes to a roof, you need to get action within 24-48 hours.

Tried admirals roofing, they are even worse.

There are only a few credible players in the roofing business in Victoria and having seen other houses on our street get new roofs from one of Proline’s competitors, we took the time to interview our neighbours who used this competitor to get the lowdown. In both cases, these neighbours were pleased with the service of the competitor but did feel the workers were a bit immature, often blasting their radios throughout the installation process and not overseeing a solid clean-up process. In the end, we opted for Proline and were so happy we did. Communication was generally solid, while their workers were quiet, professional, efficient and very conscious of maintaining a clean and tidy work site. The end product was outstanding. From a pricing point of view, Proline was also very competitive. Overall, a first-class operation.

Roofing is a very competitive business and some of these companies have become arrogant and rude because they are "so busy". Basically they are not great business people in the first place. For starters, show up on time and return phone calls and put some effort into an estimate that makes the customer feel more confident. When the construciton bubble bursts they will be scrambling for any small jobs they can get. Get lots of quotes in this industry and ask for references.

My wife and I are very happy with our new roof. The crew was professional and very efficient, they also left zero mess behind. Awesome job!

Just had a new roof installed by Proline Roofing. I am thrilled - it looks beautiful. We had a wonderful experience with Proline Roofing who replaced our roof in 2023. The price represented value for money for a quality product, which we appreciated.

Customer service was top notch from the get go, when we received assistance in choosing the type of roof and the colour. There was no hard sell, just friendly and honest advice. The staff in the office were attentive and welcoming whenever we visited. We were kept informed regarding when the work would take place and in fact that ended up being sooner than expected.

The installation staff were hard-working, polite and efficient. We had some last minute additional requests, eg for assistance installing new bargeboards, and it was no problem at all to add these in to the job.

Proline roofing has gone over and above in providing assistance and service. We had a smaller gutter repair and to seal up some corners that they were happy to help repair for us. They were prompt with reply to my communications. Once completed, they returned to re-patch one corner that didn't hold with no hesitation free of charge. On another repair, we had another smaller gutter repair that they responded to very quickly, which we were please about as the next day we had a rain storm. I would like to commend Kevin and Chris for their dedication and hard work. I would recommend and use Proline again.

We had a small but tricky section of gutters and downpipe to replace. The work was done quickly and well. The price was very fair considering how difficult the task was.

Reroofing one’s house is a big investment and my cautious search for a reputable roofing company lead me to Proline Roofing Ltd. My choice turned out to be a good one, this company is absolutely first rate: from Jennifer on the front desk; through Kari, the estimator; Proline’s General Manager, Mauricio; Steve, their Service Manager; and last, but by no means least, Proline’s top notch installation crew, Durand, Tim, and Joseph (this installation crew really knows how to take care of business). These folks, to the person, were a pleasure to deal with: friendly, responsive, knowledgeable, and patient (as in with all my questions). Oh, and the price was right too.
Interesting to note as well, is that in the three- or four-days following completion of the job, no less than three separate gentlemen stopped to comment on the excellent job that was done on my roof. Good work Proline and thank you for caring enough to be the very best at what you do.

We had our new Euroshield roof installed by Proline in April 2023 and my wife and I couldn’t be happier with the finished result. The entire experience was easy and very professional; right from the first meeting with Mauricio to learn about the roofing product and getting our quote. The install began exactly on the day they said they would be here and the final roof cost exactly what we had been quoted before the job began. It was time to replace our shingle roof and we contracted with Proline for this. We were truly impressed with all aspects of this job, from the pricing through the shingling, torching of the gutter membrane and the application of metal flashing. The work teams were prompt arriving in the mornings and they worked hard throughout the day, notably completing the shingling one day early! Proline Roofing was great to work with and I would highly recommend them. We had our 25+ year old roof and gutters replaced in March 2023. The staff from Proline were a pleasure to work with at all stages of the project, right from the first contact with their Admin staff, the person that provided the quote, the roofers, the supervisor, the gutter installer, etc... I received the quote in October 2022. They were upfront with the amount of work they had and said it would be roughly 4-5 months before they would get to ours. They showed up just over 4 months after the quote was provided. The cost was exactly what they quoted me. There was an additional cost to replace rotten boards but they made me aware of that potential when they provided the quote. The cost to replace the rotten boards was reasonable and they provided me with photos of the areas and the supervisor followed up to answer any questions. They were very accommodating when I asked that they permanently install two safety hooks for cleaning the gutters. The quality of the work was excellent as was the cleanup (end of every day) and disposal of the old shingles. They completed the work in the time they estimated for the roof and the gutters. They kept us very well informed throughout the process. Highly recommend this company.

Fabulous service, at my house the following morning after I emailed in at 4:30 pm (before the predicted rain) to repair storm damage. Pro-Line is the original roof installer 2006, our roof complex (mansard-style) and challenging, but terrific job done, very happy, and this company will certainly get my roof replacement in a few years.

We are very happy with our new roof! It was completed more quickly than expected as the crew worked two long days instead of three shorter days. Umberto headed up a crew with Carlos and Fransisco. All three men were friendly, approachable and respectful. Umberto kept us updated on progress throughout. They left the work site clean and free of any debris and nails. They did a sweep for nails a couple of times throughout the project. This was very appreciated because we have a dog. A very good experience.

The roofing team did a great job replacing our 21 year old roof. Roofers were very efficient and cleaned up any debris when they were finished. Everything looks great!

We had our roof replaced with Proline in July. The good: Kari, who did our initial estimate was very friendly, professional and courteous. He, along with all of the positive reviews we had heard and read about Proline gave us a good sense that we had picked the right company. In the end, the quality of work on the majority of the roof installation "seems" well done. We had a friend who is a retired home inspector look at it and confirm for us. Time will tell if it holds up. Installation happened through the most intense heat dome we had this summer - temperatures close to 40C. I didn't expect them to continue to work, but they did. I was impressed with that.
The bad: We booked our roof replacement several months in advance for a specific time period. And I then booked time off work to deal with pets in the house while they would be around. As time drew near to the week of the installation, we did not hear anything at all from Proline, and we had to contact them to confirm. Turned out, they had no intention of being there when we had originally booked, but apparently were not going to inform us of this. When we asked about this, we got a rude response saying this is a "fluid" business and we had to be flexible. This was not explained to us in the original booking. They ended up starting almost a week later than originally booked. They left nails ALL over our yard, including in the dog's water dish - almost no attempt at cleanup. Potential for medical issues with dogs, destroyed car tires, etc! My husband and I had to clean them all up. They left garbage (shingle wrappers) tossed in our bushes. They TRAMPLED my garden along my driveway - completely destroying plants. One corner of the house had shingles overhanging - not cut off at all; two other corners were cut in a complete "hack job" that looks terrible. When we called to have that fixed, we got rude attitude about that. They did come and cut the one that was left uncut, but said the other two were fine and refused to make any attempt to fix them. When all was said and done, I eventually spoke with the owner of the company to say if they had any professional conscience, they would provide some sort of discount to account for all of these issues. All he would offer was $150 off the bill - which didn't even cover replacement cost of the destroyed plants. He made threats to me that if we didn't pay the rest of the bill (which I never said I wouldn't), they would not provide a guarantee on the roof.
The most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with.

EDIT: After reading the response to my review, I have reduced my review to 1 star. For the simple fact that their response is more of the same as their response during our transaction. The other reviews may very well be accurate - that's completely irrelevant in our case. My review was completely truthful. Their crew were messy and destructive on my property, and they refuse to acknowledge that fact. I had another professional evaluate the corners (just because he is retired does not make him any less knowlegable - in fact more so because he did it for a long time), and agreed that it was not quality finishing. All Proline would have had to do was admit they made mistakes, fix and/or make up for those mistakes, and I would have provided a great review as that is how a professional business handles good customer relations.

Proline installed a new skylight and did a tricky gutter addition for us. There's a reason why you have to wait awhile for service -- they are top notch, and it's worth it. Chris is so dedicated & skilled in his work. Everything is just as they say it will be. Highly recommended.

This a strange story, but it's a HUGE testament to the integrity of the people at Proline. They're literally life savers.

I had an emergency when my car, which was parked outside their business, suddenly had an engine fire! I banged on their door for help. It was just after their close time, but thank god there were still people around. With NO hesitation, the staff jumped into action, and we were able to subdue the inferno until the Fire Dept arrived on scene.

I cannot thank the staff at Proline enough for their selfless actions to prevent what could've been a really, really bad situation.

I hired Proline Roofing to install new gutters, downspouts and facia boards. Being a very busy company, I was expecting a five to seven week wait. With the virus, and people cancelling jobs, my project was moved up to three weeks.

The estimator came out sooner then expected and I was emailed a quote within a few days. The facia board wood was dropped off and I painted it myself. The project was all systems go a week later. The entire job took two and a half days.

Taylor and Sebastien did a terrific job. They were friendly, courteous and professional. Every day they cleaned up the job site leaving nothing behind. They were on time every morning and did a full days work.

Kevin and Jennifer in the office were a breeze to deal with. Light hearted and friendly but thoroughly professional.

I would heartily recommend using Proline. No surprises, no over charges. Everything promised was delivered. I now have the nicest gutters and downspouts on the street!

We just had the roof of our bungalow done by Proline. The new roof is standing seams metal and while at it we also had the gutters replaced. Overall I was very impressed by the people at Proline. Not that everything was perfectly smooth. There were glitches. Some were out of anyone control (like a huge storm that wasn't forecasted on the WE where the roof was only covered in a plastic membrane) and some were coordination issues. But in my book, what makes the difference between a reliable company and one that isn't is not the absence of glitches but the way the unexpected is dealt with. I appreciated how the team at Proline dealt with the issues. They were reliable, fair and professional. I was also impressed by the team who worked on the roof itself. You could see they cared about the craftsmanship. Overall very satisfied.

The ProLine team was great to deal with. Initial quote was delivered promptly, Kari was patient while we discussed choices in materials and weighed our options. Work commenced earlier than anticipated, which was a pleasant surprise. Tim and other two crew members (sorry, we didn't get their names) were courteous and left the work site very clean at the end of each day. Final cleanup also first rate. We had one challenge with the appearance of facia boards at the roof peak. Our concern was taken seriously and rectified, hence the 5 star rating.

I recently had my roof re shingled by Proline Roofing Services and just wanted to let you know how happy I am with the job that was done. I would like to make a special mention of a number of employees.
I was in the process of getting quotes from various roofing firms and was most impressed with the very quick response from Proline. A number of companies I had contacted didn’t even respond to phone messages left. I received a call from your estimator Kari, and arrangements were made for him to come and provide a quote. I requested for him to come at a time when I would be present which he was able to accommodate. He was very efficient, answered all my questions and much to my surprise drew up the estimate on site and provided me with a folder with quote/various other information tucked inside. Once the decision was made to go forward at beginning of July, I was in contact with Wally, who I spoke to on almost a daily basis when the crew were on site. He has a great sense of humour and was ever so patient with me when I called in the morning.. it was important for me to be able to keep in touch.Once the job got started, I can’t say enough about Durand and Scott. I was very taken as to how hard they worked each day in spite of the hot weather, were extremely pleasant to speak to,very professional and good strong work ethics but most of all I was very happy with the way the job site was left neat and tidy at the end of each day. It’s obvious to me that they take a lot of pride in their work and struck me as being real perfectionists. When the job was completed, I was sent an invoice/statement from Israel, whom I have spoken to a few times and appreciated the fact that he explained the statement and how the billing/payment can be made ( it was noted on the invoice “we truly appreciate your business-thank you and God bless!!!” very nice). Last but certainly not least, you have a real “jewel” at reception, Jennifer ! You couldn’t have a nicer person to be in that position, very professional and excellent phone mannerisms.
All in all a very positive experience from beginning to end. I have no reservation in recommending Proline to anyone looking to hire a roofing firm.

We called Proline and they were quick to send an estimator. Kari was great to deal with and had a quote to us in minutes. We had some work to do before the gutters could go on and they were very accommodating to our schedule. The installer Taylor was a pleasure to deal with, polite and a very hard working fellow. We will most definitely recommend Proline to anyone in the future!

This is the 2nd time I've dealt with Proline Roofing and I can't say enough good things about them! From receptionist Jennifer to Wally to Israel to owner Mauricio it has been so easy, friendly and enjoyable. But in the end, do you want a nice pilot or a good pilot? These guys have been around a long time. They price fairly, they know what they're doing and they do it professionally, efficiently and cleanly. No mess left behind. They actually started and completed the job a week ahead of time! How often do you hear about that?! Well done! Really, don't waste your time shopping around, just call these guys.

Proline roofing was the most professional roofing company I have dealt with. I had a small job for a cottage house and most other roofers were quick to dismiss my request. At best, they emailed me and said "it will cost around $XXXX" without any details on the work they will be doing and after multiple probing from my end. Proline was very quick to respond to my every request and questions, and they sent me a detailed outline of all the work they will do (included new parts required additional to roof shingles like vent caps etc), with an exact quote. They were also very quick to come and install. I selected the shingle type and secured a spot in queue with a credit card, and they came and installed within a month. I am very happy with the work they did and their professional demeanor. I would highly recommend them for your projects.

Absolutely would recommend Proline Roofing to anyone. So friendly and professional. They gave an extremely fair quote for the work that needed to be done, and stayed within it. Like all large jobs on older homes, there was growth work. The estimate for the additional structural repair was quick and again very well priced, allowing for the same completion date. We had new roof and gutters installed .The roofers did a good job but the so called clean up crew left a lot of rubbishy and crushed border plants. The gutter man was on his own as his partner was sick he did a fab. job on his own and cleaned up every screw. Stayed late so he could finish the job and not have to come back the next day.He is a person who does all his measurements and measures twice before cutting.

Pleasant customer service but took 1 month to get a quote back to me. The quote was for gutter repair. They would not guarantee their work for even 30 days. So if something was off even the day after they finished their work all they would do was offer me a discount to come and fix it. Shockingly terrible way to back up your work in my opinion. So glad I didn't use them.

Looking at the previous reviews , I finally got a chance to write a review . I just got my roof completed by Proline Roofing and it was a positive experience. The same crew came from start to finish and was completely pleased with the work. I was looking around to find any mess afterwards and couldn't even find a loose nail. These guys are professional and my neighbor got theirs done too. A+

I would not recommend working with Proline Roofing and Gutters. We had an initial delay in coming to assess the job when promised and further delays for providing the actual quote. Once we were finally in the queue, it still took several additional weeks extra from what was quoted. There were a number of excuses provided.

Once they arrived, we were told that the quote provided didn't accurately reflect the work that needed to be done at our house. Once that was sorted out and they started the work, they left a mess requiring significant clean up. There was delay in getting finished and they left wood out in the rain for several days. Finally, the stucco on our house was damaged. They didn't bother mentioning that to us following the install and we have been informed that they are not responsible for repairing the damage caused by their installer.

All in all, it was a very disappointing experience which now requires further repair to our home. I would strongly recommend seeking another provider.

Disjointed company who did the bare minimum - I would not recommend Proline. Costs were competitive due to the very basic service they offer. A different worker showed up at my house each day to do a different piece of the job - with the result of serious miscommunications between the team. They left a messy site my tenants had to clean up. When I inquired about the initial estimate versus the final product, the appraiser Kari became rude and indignant with me after being so friendly before I signed the contract.

I can't say enough great things about this company !! They are always easy to contact and return phone calls(if you don't catch them right away ) very promptly. They are also honest, and trustworthy. We are very pleased with their service and with their employees. Nice people who arrive when they said they would, did what they said they would do and then don''t forget you once the job is done. Highly highly recommended.

We just had a new roof and gutters installed by Proline. We are very happy with the results. The staff was great, cleaned around the house every day before leaving and it was a pleasure to deal with Mauricio and Kevin at the office. We had a really good experience overall.
Mauricio explained the different materials available and with his help we chose the ones that had the best results in our style of house. The house looks way better now and no more leaking gutters! Luis took the time to go around and make custom gutters around some areas.
I will continue to recommend them!
As they were working on my house, a friend decided to do his roof with them too!

I contacted Proline Roofing on the recommendation of a neighbor. Along with their quote, I got three others. Of all the quotes, only Mauricio came to talk to me personally to find out what my needs were and to discuss the job. The quote from Proline included things that the other companies wanted upcharges for, such as: plywood vs. OSB, pre-formed ridge caps, new vents for the bathrooms and stove, and synthetic underlayment. Happily it was also the lowest of the quotes. It came with the contract details and the time frame for completion. I paid the deposit and waited the six weeks I was aware I would have to wait. On the Friday before the job was to start I was contacted by both Kevin and Mauricio to let me know that the bin and materials would be arriving on the Monday and the roof job would start late Monday or Tuesday. I was told the job would last a week or just a little more. I asked them to see if it could be done by the weekend as there was a B'day party for my wife. Proline brought in two additional crews one day to make sure it happened. They finished the job early, started it when they said they would, and put in lots of effort and long days. I paid what was quoted, the roof looks good, and I now have some piece of mind. You can't ask for more! I have no hesitation recommending Proline.
