I highly recommend Professional Restoration Services and Josh Kaplan and his team for any emergency restoration project you may have. I experienced a significant fire at a property I owned and Josh and his team far exceeded expectations. Due to initial permitting issues with the city, it was a long and painful two year project, but once the permitting issue were resolved thanks to Josh's recommendation, I felt the project proceeded extremely smoothly and well within budgeted expectations. Josh kept all things on schedule as well as he could and definitely within budget. The overruns were minimal based on the scope of the project and his ability to pull from one area and apply to another without compromising the integrity of the project proved invaluable.

It was always a pleasure speaking with him and he made the process very easy to understand. His relationship with my insurance carrier and being able to keep me out of those often confusing discussions was also greatly appreciated.

While I no longer have any assets in the Richmond area, I do have some acquaintances in that market and should any ask for a recommendation of a renovation or restoration firm, I will not hesitate to recommend Professional restoration Services and Josh Kaplan and his team..

I recently used PRS to repair my laundry room after a water leak. It required drywall repair, demo and laying of the subfloor and ceramic tile floor, some carpentry work, then painting the space and repairing and rehanging the bi-fold doors. I couldn't be happier with the result. They showed up when they were supposed to, left the house clean every day when they left, were meticulous about everything they did, and they were very pleasant to have around (bonus!). I couldn't have asked for more. I will be calling them anytime I need something done. If they can do it, they will be my first choice. I've already referred them to several friends. I'd give them 10 stars if I could! Thank you PRS.

I would not recommend Professional Restoration Services (PRS) for home repairs due to the experience we have had after installation of our floors. We had a water leak in our house in spring of 2023. After looking at several companies in the local Richmond area, we made the choice to use PRS. We picked out a Shaw engineered wood flooring to replace the previous engineered wood floors. We had been in our home for almost 14 years. The experience of picking out and installing the engineered floors was amazing in working with Amber. It truly was seamless and very simple.

The experience started to deteriorate within a month after the installation. I dropped a raw egg onto the floor, wiped it up immediately and it removed the finish. My 8 year old son walked in the back door with damp socks from playing outside, immediately wiped the floors, yet there are now forever footprints from our back door to the stairs. When the floors were 6 months post installation, they looked more worn than the previous floors that had been in the home for 13 plus years. The most upsetting part is when I reached out to Amber on December 1, for support. I asked for options on how to improve the floor. Amber asked for photos on the floor and never responded. I had to follow up with phone calls, and emailed the local PRS office and did not get a response. On January 2, Amber responded that floor samples would be needed. PRS and Amber have yet to inspected the damage in my home. The only request was to take extra floor that was left over as samples to send to Shaw. Another month goes by without any updates from Amber. I reached out to her on February 12 and do not get a response. This morning (Feb 13), I get an email that is a forward from Shaw that there is no defects with the floor. Amber did not even have the professionalism to reach out to explain the findings on the report or offer other options.

PRS got my initial business and it is clear that anything after the initial sale, I am just a number. I picked this company, paid a premium, because I thought PRS had integrity and values. Please keep looking for another company for your restoration needs as this company does not care.

Is it stressful dealing with water damage, mitigation, and restoration, especially for the first time. The delays and mistakes from the lousy subcontractor were innumerable. Poor workmanship twice, and lack of quality control. A job that was due to complete in 1 week, took over a month. If you select this company, demand that the project manager remain on-site for every repair. Richard is professional, polite, and knowledgeable, he acknowledged all the mistakes and upgraded a few things at no cost to me.
I won’t use PRS again.

Had water line in wall bust causing many problems, after other companies cut holes in wall , cut up flooring to fix and dry out problem. PRS came in and did great job putting everything back together. It looks great and Amber Fritts and every team that did work to make it home again were great. Hope I never need them again but if I do or you do Definitely call Professional Restoration Services.

Mike Green and his team were wonderful in a very stressful situation with our townhouse that was damaged by a fire next door. We had tenant issues and were in the process of getting ready to sell the property when the fire damaged the unit. Mike was so helpful in providing interested parties with assurances that the house would be delivered in great condition and in time for a closing in January! The work was impeccable and done before our closing deadline. Mike personally kept me up to date with what was going on step by step. Your will not find better than Mike and his team!

The service I received from PRS was positive, professional and of a high quality. The repairs were extensive and thanks to the project management provided by Amber all of the work was well organized and timely in completion. The carpenters, painters and sub-contractors were on time, courteous and great craftsmen. In fact, one of the carpenters came to complete work on his vacation day. I highly recommend PRS for restoration work.

Was impressed by each of the team members who worked on our master bathroom restoration (after a plumbing leak). Good coordination, excellent work. I will contact PRS when I need similar work in the future.

We recently hired PRS to take on a renovation project to include removal of walls, adding bathrooms, patio addition and reconfiguring living space. I shed more tears and money than I ever imagined! But, PRS was my steadfast contractor, friend and trusted advisor. Every single employee was always courteous, prompt, and professional. Mike was truly top notch! Lori was incredibly kind, respectful and greatly appreciated I highly recommend PRS.

Richard and Steve at PRS were amazing to work with after our basement flooded. The work PRS did to rehab our basement was quick, quality, and everyone we spoke with was friendly and helpful. Thank you for bringing our basement back to life!

PRS did superior work. They came in after a water line break and repaired all of the damages to two stories of a home built in 1910. They paid close attention to details and crafted unique millwork to match the preexisting millwork. Excellent painting, wood working, and floor refinishing. Highly recommend.

Steve and his crew were excellent! They did everything in a very professional and friendly manner. They were respectful of my home and made sure I was satisfied with their work.

PRS is very professional and courteous. From the time we called them to completion. Rodney and Kurt came out surveyed the damage took photos and gave us a detailed estimate and also detailed all the work that would be done. Kurt was in charge of our job he is new to the company but kept us informed and if he didn't know he went out of his way to find out. He came by the job almost everyday checking on the progress and making sure our questions or concerns were addressed. This was an insurance claim so we were back and forth with the insurance company and finance company but Kurt would come by and grab our paperwork his company needed to fill out so we didn't have to mske extra trips. Just wanted to take time to thank Kurt and all the workers at PRS who treated us like family and took care of us.

We want to thank the entire team we worked with at PRS. A major water damage claim is a very stressful time. The professional manner that all work was completed and the help walking through the insurance claim process was greatly appreciated. Do not wish anyone going through a loss of this nature but if you do, we highly recommend this company to get you back to normal!

Tried to seriously price gouge over an insurance claim. Ran me in circles for two months then passed a ridiculously over inflated estimate for repairs then ghosted me when i started to question them about it.

Do your homework. They might do fair work. I don't know.

Be careful if they show up for an insurance estimate. They're just in your home to strap your money any way they can.

Used them for a complete outdoor remodel-roof, siding, new garage, patio, window refurbishment, painting, etc. They were super responsive to any calls and concerns and finished on time despite a rainy spring. The company is locally owned by a well respected business professional , and he came to do his own inspection at the end of the project to make sure it was perfect. They are also a Class A contractor and work with all insurance companies, who require a Class A business to perform the repairs. I saw some photos of catastrophic damage to homes from fires and storms and their results are beautiful. Great business, great people, great work!

PRS made our renovation experience as wonderful as it could possibly be after a small flood! Their worked quickly and efficiently. The quality of their work is top notch. The whole process was explained clearly and all of my questions got answered. Steve was great to work with. I would use their services again in a heartbeat!

My husband and I were referred to PRS through Terminix after a termite infestation. Matt and his team were prompt, courteous, and professional through out the entire restoration project. We especially appreciated their communication since Terminix was lacking in this area. They handled everything from start to finish. Workers were knowlegable and efficient. No idle chatter, respectful and quiet. The paint job was beautiful and done without incident. We love our new look.

Emergency personnel responded to a health alarm at my house and put a nice number on my front door. The whole frame and inner workings of the door was extremely damaged, having to replace everything. The crew came and within a three day total (estimate, fixing, and painting) did a fantastic job. Easy to work with especially dealing with a person not knowing exactly what he wanted (me)...very friendly and reccomend to anyone!!!!

We contacted PRS when our roof was damaged during a bad storm, causing leaks all over our house. PRS was extremely professional and easy to work with. They clearly explained everything about the work we needed done, and were there for us every step of the way throughout our repairs. This gave us piece of mind and reassurance during what could have been a very stressful time. We are very happy with their work. Both our new roof and interior repairs were done efficiently and effectively - almost as if the damage never happened! We would definitely use PRS again and highly recommend their services.

A few months ago I used the services of PRS after water damage to my home. PRS made the entire experience easier because they are very knowledgeable and sent very skilled workers to my home. I worked with Steve Robidoux the entire time. All phone calls were answered or returned to address all of my concerns. The work was completed as advised. I would certainly use and recommend them to others in the future. They made an unpleasant experience less devastating for me!!!

I can’t say enough positive words about PRS! On the day I was moving out of my home, the shower plumbing broke, and water flooded through the plaster ceiling onto the hardwood floors in my family room. PRS (Rodney) came to my house immediately, ... as I was waiting for the movers. He assessed the situation, gave me a preliminary estimate, assured me that he could do the work without me coming back daily to let him in or supervise the work, and provided a Contract so that work could begin immediately.

The work was accomplished beautifully! The crew created a plastic air lock atrium to contain the plaster dust, and covered the floors so that no scratches would be incurred. They removed the plaster ceiling carefully, replaced it with drywall, spackled and sanded, painted, and added crown molding. They worked to an impossibly tight schedule (because the house was going to closure with in a few days). They completed everything right on schedule! The night before the closing, they even stayed until late to swiffer and make the house perfect again.

I literally cannot recall any other organization that is so responsive, does such superb work, or is 100% reliable and trustworthy.

My only regret is that I never knew about them until the end of the 15 years that I lived in the house. I certainly would have used them for every job!

After returning from a trip to find flood damage to half my home, Professional Restoration Services provided both quality workmanship and skilled professionals who were methodical in their restoration work. They were thorough and responsive to my questions, concerns, and desires as the long term renovations were completed. The employees were very respectful and I felt perfectly comfortable having workers in my home during the renovations. Shortly after starting the project, I decided to hire PRS to do additional improvements to my home. I would highly recommend them and would not hesitate to hire them again for future improvements.

Working with Skylar has been very pleasurable and he bent over backwards to accommodate. I had no idea personally how long the job would take but now understand. I highly recommend working with them

After having a pipe burst upstairs, we were apprehensive about having the multiple repairs done, especially different folks being in and out of our home while we were at work and out of town. Steve at PRS was reassuring, easy to work with, and all of his crew were professional and did a great job. I would highly recommend PRS. They went above and beyond to be helpful and efficient. They recently replaced our roof due to hail damage and did an excellent job and were very helpful with the insurance recovery process
