Prescott Roofing

I used Prescott to replace two of my rubber roofs and install new copper gutters and downspouts. Jon C. was the one to come out and give a quote, he came out very quickly and his quote was super thorough - we had no unpleasant surprises. We even got a little bit money back because they had budgeted for one detail to be harder than it turned out to be.

They also recommended and worked well with a carpenter we needed for a deck.

As for the team, our roofs are hard to access and everything had to be loaded by hand and moved through the house. The team was clean, fast and attentive to details. They also picked up after themselves. In the pictures below you can see the care taken around the flashing and how they resolved where the flashing meets the gutters.

This has been a super rainy season and they were quick to reschedule if the weather made it impossible to do work on the planned day. When they started working, it was also in and out, we didn’t have to worry that our house would get wet because they got each roof waterproofed the same day they removed the old roofing.

I would definitely recommend them and will use them again for our final roof. 10/10, no notes!

Trevor and Bernie are knowledgeable, honest, and I could not recommend their help any more. I got an estimate from another popular roofing service in Pittsburgh for a roof leak, and then had Trevor from Prescott stop by for a second estimate. A few days later, he brought along Bernie to make sure the issue was completely understood. In addition to being prompt, they were able to help at a FRACTION of the cost, and the leak in the roof appears to be completely resolved. Thank you both!

I had my roof "repaired" three times but still had water coming in in one area. Bernie from Prescott and two of his assistants came to fix it and I haven't had a problem since then, despite all of the rain we've had this spring and summer. And Bernie was very personable and was so nice to work with. I couldn't have been more pleased.

Prescott was professional and did a good job. We hired them for a full roof replacement and Bernie did a great job explaining the process. Their price was competitive too. There were three things that I would comment on though.

1. They broke a window and some siding from an accident. After some discussion Prescott did agree to replace the window in full so I appreciate that. I didn't get a final bill until we had an agreement on the window and there were additional costs on there not previously advised for materials. The costs were in the contract as a possibility depending on the condition of the previous structure but they were not advised until two months after the project was done. I would have liked to know these additional costs when the work was being completed.
2. The attic was left covered in wood chips and sawdust. It's not a huge deal since it's an attic but I would have preferred them leave it at least as clean as when they started.
3. The crew disconnected the ground wire for my chimney but didn't reconnect it. I have trees everywhere so again not the biggest problem but I would have liked them to reattach it or let me know why they couldn't

Still I would use Prescott again and recommend them to anyone looking for a new roof.

Met with Jon Colwell of Prescott Roofing to discuss a large project on my home (new gutters, new roof). Jon was extremely thorough and patient in his explanation of the potential work. He clearly articulated the pros and cons of each option and spent a lot of time studying the property to fully understand the scope of the project.

At the end of the week and at the end of a hot day, a crew of 3 men from Prescott Roofing energetically exited a company truck at my home. The truck had Prescott's name and info on it and it appeared well equipped. The crew quickly unloaded heavy ladders, carrying them up steps and a sloped hillside. They worked as a team seamlessly inspecting my gutters and more importantly clearing one downspout that was causing my gutter to seriously overflow. When the next heavy rain came, I saw proof that they got the job done right when rain water flowed from my downspout. Thank you to the crew and Chris who expedited my work.

Quality work at fair prices. Crews are professional and clean up all debris every night before leaving. The added bonus is the ability to watch the crews as they replaced the roof. You can watch the care they take in doing the job. Highly recommend Prescott Roofing. You will not be disappointed.

They do excellent work, inspecting and cleaning it. They take photos which are very helpful. I use them for the repairs.

First impressions are the best: Just had a great visit from Jon (roof) and Jeff (masonry) at our beleaguered old house, to estimate what needs to be done. Appreciated their professionalism and attention to detail. Never felt a hint of upselling -- I was guided to making repairs, not rushing into major replacement. This was the second roof we had installed by Prescott Roofing. Our first roof was installed about thirty years ago. Over the years they serviced our roof and recommended minor repairs that extended the life of our roof. But nothing lasts forever and we decided to get another roof through them. Project was Hardie siding, a significant amount of plygem trim, and a metal porch roof…all on an 1875 Victorian house. Prescott project manager was Zack and the entire experience was outstanding. Zack and team were responsive to all comments, reasonable with all extras and change orders, and treated my house like it was their own. I would recommend them without any hesitation for both small jobs and the most complex and large projects.

Had a minor roof leak near an exhaust vent. Had Prescott Roofing come out to help. They came out quickly, did a minor repair, and then suggested a more permanent fix (optional). I’m very impressed with how quickly they came to help, how transparent they were during the process, and how non-pushy they were on other repair options. I’m definitely planning to use them again.

We just finished a roofing, siding, and gutter project with Prescott and it is absolutely perfect! Prescott recently completed a replacement of our 30 year old roof. From my initial contact with Brenan, thru the install process with Zach and excellent crew, to communications with Heather…my experience has been excellent. The work was done in an excellent and professional manner, with tons of communication from Zach. They were exceptionally nest, and took great care in preventing ANY damage to our home and landscaping. Large tarps were used everywhere to contain any debris that may have escaped their use of an elevated “dumpster” that did away with tossing debris and old shingles to the ground. All work was completed in one day, despite temps bordering on or exceeding 100 degrees. Following installation and clean up, i observed the crew combing thru mulch looking for any possible debris or nails. They even spent time fishing a small stray piece of paper from my pool. The next morning, Zach and Brenan returned to pick up tools, and ran thru my yard with magnets to find any stray metal. And the most important part….the roof looks fantastic! I would not hesitate in recommending Prescott Roofing to anyone looking for a high quality contractor.

Routine maintenance on our slate roof always goes well, catching small things before they become big issues. Excellent at communication…which is hugely appreciated! Had repairs done recently with masonry work around the windows. Jeff and his team of masons were amazing. They did beautiful work, and took care of all the existing trees and shrubs around the work site. They explained every step of the process and are a very considerate team. Clearly we highly recommend them without reservation!

Prescott’s crew did an outstanding job of installing new gutters, downspouts, and asphalt shingles for my home. Chuck and his men worked steadily from morning until dusk each day. Due to so many previous work days lost to rain, they even came on a Saturday and on Memorial Day (with my permission, of course!). They placed protective landscape fabric over my shrubs and did a careful job of cleaning up any stray nails or debris that may have fallen into my yard or those of my neighbors.

About ten years ago, Prescott was the only roofing company I had contacted that was able to solve a recurring leakage problem in one of my valleys. I would highly recommend Prescott for roofing repairs, as well as installation.

Prescott Roofing is simply the best roofing company in the area. You can tell it is a family business; everyone is caring and responsible. You can trust their work and know that you will get quick, reliable response at a fair price. Prescott put on a new roof for us about 12 years ago. Also, at a different property, we had gutter shields installed and then cleaned a few years later. Always good work and quick response.

Recently we had a problem with a bird getting into our bathroom vent. Prescott responded quickly after we got
the bird out and replaced the vent cover and grill. We depend on this reliable roofing company.
