Preferred Roofing - Elkhorn, NE

We have had Preferred do our entire exterior of our home. We are talking roof, chimney cap (custom metal work), vents, skylight, ridge vent, out building roof, gutters, downspouts, all windows, all doors. They could not have done a better job. I have referred them to many family and friends, of which have all had the same wonderful experience. Great work. Great people. Great price. If you have any friends that "KNOW A GUY". Make sure the "GUY" works for Preferred!!! Cannot say enough.

These guys were easy to work with and did a phenomenal job. After the hail storm, we had our new and improved roof in no time with very little effort on our part. The whole process was smooth and professional and we loved that we were working with a local, family-owned company.

Jim & Joe repaired a section of roof with a chronic leak from an ice dam. The team worked to add flashing & create a better barrier. The work was completed by the owner & staff. I highly recommend Preferred Roofing to others.

Jim and team did an amazing job fixing our hail damage. Roof, siding and decking all had to be replaced. He had to rework our existing sunroom roof to save us and the insurance company a lot of money. Job site was cleaned up every night and we have received many compliments on the curb appeal of our home. After seeing how our home was turning out, a couple of our neighbors decided to switch from contractors who were not customer friendly. You can’t go wrong with Preferred Residential Services.

In the spring of 22’ our roof was damaged due to a large hail storm and after seeing signs throughout our neighborhood decided to give Preferred a call. Safe to say, one of the best decisions I could have made. I don’t think that I could say enough good things about Preferred Roofing and and the crews that were apart of putting on my new roof.
Joe was fantastic to work with, especially with me being someone who had filed their first insurance claim, walked me through everything step by step, was patient and always assisted in communicating with insurance directly when needed.
When it came to the quality of work for installation, the crew was fantastic and within a day I had a brand new roof, and all debris was cleaned up after the fact (probably cleaner than before)

I had major damage from the hail storm in 2022. I needed a new roof, siding, gutters and window screens. I had never been through something like this and had no clue about insurance, deductibles or any of that jargon. Preferred Roofing made it so easy to get through. They did all the coordination through insurance and made it as easy could be for me. Everything was explained to me in a way I understood and I couldn’t be happier with the results. On tap of that they were always on time, did the majority of the work when I was not home, and were very professional. I highly recommend Preferred Roofing!

We contacted Jim and team because they did our neighbor’s house. We liked the work they did and the fact they kept our yard cleaned up as well as the neighbors. They were involved all the way through the process. Any problems we had they handled in a professional and speedy manner. These guys gave our house a whole face lift from the roof to siding and gutters. It was a real night and day difference to see all the new parts come together. Joe went above and beyond with our detached garage with new windows and frame work on the inside. They even put on a new flood light for us so everything was shiny and new all around. Homes protect you from damaging storms and take a beating. Preferred will be there to get your house back to looking perfect. They should be your first choice.

To start I had a difficult insurance policy and other companies I contacted did not contact me back, but Joe came out to my house and assessed the damage and started there. I can't say enough good things about both Joe and Jim and the crews that did the work to my home. Joe took the time to send in supplements to the insurance and keep in contact with them so I didn't have to. The crews that completed the work extremely professional and did an amazing job completing everything from the roof to the gutters! It also made a huge differenceto me that they made sure to clean everything up after because I have dogs and kids. (On my house and garage). Joe and Jim both stopped by throughout the projects to make sure everything was going well. Not to mention Joe stayed in communication with me throughout the whole entire process and answered any and every question I could come up with. I don't believe I will have any issues but I was reassured if there happened to be any issues to let them know and they would do everything to fix it, which is far and few between these days. Not knowing where to start after the damage happened it was a huge piece of mind to know I had Joe and Jim in my corner. I have recommended them multiple times since then. I wouldn't choose anyone else to work on my home after the amazing experience I had working with Joe and Jim. If you want an honest locally owned company that will do the job right the first time, give preferred roofing a call, you won't be disappointed!

After the June hail storm, we called Joe to check out our roof. Both my daughters have used Preferred Residential before, and have been very happy with them. Anyway, We had damages. Joe worked with my insurance company, also found our roof needed an upgrade, which my insurance paid for. The work done was excellent, and Joe and James are excellent to work with.

We were very happy with Preferred Roofing. They inspected our roof after a hail storm and was here when the insurance agent came. They are very professional and they answer any questions you may have. They do reasonable priced quality work in a timely manner. Our roof and gutters look amazing.

I had to have one side of my house re-sided due to an accident my neighbor had. From day one Joe was very helpful. Gave me all my options, even had a color that was really close to my old siding. As promised, he had the siding in 2 weeks and had his guys had it done in 2 days. Looks great! I highly recommend these guys. I promise you will not be disappointed.

I did not interact in the financial side of our repair/installation after the storm, but I was always included in the discussions and selection of materials. Everyone associated with Preferred Residential Services was professional, polite, and thorough. Every stage of our repair was overseen by Joe, and he was always on site checking on the details. Jim stopped by from time to time as well.
Everything was done in a very timely manner, and the workmanship was of high quality. I highly recommend Preferred Residential Services.

Preferred Residential Services inspected our home after a storm in 2017 and finding damage they replaced
our roof and gutters bringing everything up to code. We also had them replace our deck and picture window and could not be happier with the results and the experience.

Great service from Jim Pipper! Local, professional and will get the job done right. Avoid stormchasers (Grace Homes). Preferred Residential fixed what the stormchasers did and I have used them twice and referred them twice. Truly the best in town.
