Preferred Building Systems

Toured the factory and purchased a home. Overall quality of workmanship was pretty low. Interior doors were sent back to be repainted. Drywall was not finish sanded and left to the homeowner to complete. Sink was ordered incorrectly but homeowner was still made to pay. Thousands of dollars "missing" for countertop allowance. Went with modular thinking that time and quality would be better controlled but that was not the case.

We took a tour of the entire PBS Modular Home Building plant and it was amazing. Mike was a great guide and explained the entire process thoroughly and answered all of our questions. The team working on the various stations of the building process were very professional, not cutting corners and demonstrated great pride in their crafts. PBSs building and product line was something to see. Being able to complete their modular building system under one roof allows them to store the building materials and provide a seamless construction flow all under one climate controlled work space. Can't wait to lock in our land and start the design process. PBS does offer that one stop shopping process to help reduce the stress.

Today I and a colleague of mine went on a tour of the facility with the Sales Rep, John Formichelli. He was extremely informative and explained the whole process with a complete visual of how these homes are built inside the warhouse. Energy efficient homes with many design choices and peace of mind knowing the homes are weather tight and built well.
