Portillo Roofing did a great job on our roof. Danielle walked us through each step of the process. We needed our roof done on a short timeline, and after discussing the situation, Danielle was able to fit us in between jobs, and then moved our project up even sooner when they had a last-minute cancellation.

The estimate we were given was adjusted based on the fluctuating cost of materials, which seemed reasonable. In our case, the cost of shingles had gone up, but cost of plywood had gone down, and they lowered the overall cost accordingly. It was nice to work with such an honest and trustworthy company- would definitely recommend them!

Portillo Roofing was excellent to work with. I could count on them to do what they said they were going to do. Danielle in the office returned phone calls promptly. They worked in a tight space situation with neighbors homes, power lines and limited parking. They were considerate of my neighbors. They did a daily clean up of the yard and driveway. Pleased with the staff working on my home, My roof and installation of skylight look great. Good price as well.

I'm very happy with this company from start to finish, from the office manager that I dealt with regarding contracts and fees, to the owner, right down to the workers that came to re-roof my house. They were timely, professional, courteous, clean, and competent. They sent photos of the process from beginning to end since I cannot directly go on the rook to inspect myself. I highly recommend them for your roofing needs!

I interviewed and got bids from about 5 different roofing companies. Portillo Roofing was not the cheapest one (but close to). And I felt that Guilmar (the owner) really knows his business and will do a good job.
Even with that, I was pleasantly surprised. The crew did a really good job, working hard, and not cutting any corners (even when Guilmar stepped out). Since this was during Corona times, I was working from home so several times a day I would watch the workers either from the ground or directly from the roof. Each time I was impressed who good they were and how they work on the roof as if it were their own.

Portillo Roofing is a small company but at the same time very professional and clearly experts in what they do. Unlike big companies where estimator and supervisor and crew manager are three different people, Guilmar does all these jobs himself and you know what you are getting from the beginning.

BTW, don't get discouraged when you talk to Danielle (the office manager) and hear kids in the background. Danielle herself is very helpful too and does everything (estimates, scheduling, ...) very professionally and on time.

The roof looks really nice and based on the quality of the work, I am sure it will stay nice for a really long time. Also, the crew did a great job cleaning after the job was done. Even put my entry mat back (after I put it aside so that they can clean easier). Yes, I did find a few staples afterwards but they were under the the garbage container that got moved away couple days later (the crew could not really clean everything from under it).

Overall I had a really great experience and if I ever need a new roof again (on a different house) I'll go straight to Portillo Roofing.

I want to thank Guilmar and the team for a high quality work installing skylights in our house. They were very flexible adjusting to our schedule and our needs. We are very pleased with the final result and would defiantly recommend them.

No fancy sales presentation or gimmicks, just a good fair value estimate with an excellent CertainTeed Warranty. Communication with their office was excellent and always timely, all questions answered. As a bonus we received progress photos sent daily. Onsite workforce very professional and polite. Great attention to detail and they went the extra mile for unexpected repairs. No Change Order games. Daily cleanup. Once they were done, its as if they were never there, except for the beautiful roof they left behind. Portillo roofing is the best!

Gilmar and Portillo Roofing did a fantastic job. Price was very reasonable compared to the other quotes we had received.
