Tried to get estimates through about ten roofers. Shaun was the only one that was prompt! Many others would not respond or release estimate but they kept bothering me. Not port city! Great company and finished before his estimated timeframe. I would not hesitate to use or recommend him enough.

Shaun came out to assess the leak on our roof. He told us he could fix it. He was then a no call, no show three times. We still have a leaking roof two weeks later and have had to hire someone else.

We had a tree come down during a storm and damaged our roof. These guys answered our call, showed up quickly covered the damage during the rain. Then came back to fix it as soon as the rain quit. I would highly recommend them for any roofing needs.

Port city roofing installed a new roof on our home in 2017, which has been such a blessing since we had many leaks that had not been addressed by the previous owner! They have come back several times for repairs & attic venting. They are always prompt and have handled many emergencies, especially when there has been weather damage. Great guys- they do great work, are respectful & always clean up!

Shaun was easy to reach and responded to our questions promptly. In addition to a new roof we also had beadboard installed. We would definitely use Port City Roofing again.

I hired Shaun to repair and extend a deck on the back of my home. Demolition was performed in October. Didn’t hear a word from him until today For the past 4 months I have had an unusable and dangerous deck, and the small amount of work that he subcontracted out is such poor quality I am having to have it redone.

I contacted Shaun a few days ago via cell in the early afternoon about a leak I was having likely related to the chimney. He was able to make it out to my house within a couple of hours and take a look. He immediately identified the issue and also identified another issue I was having with some condensation in my master bathroom. Two days later and he had his workers come out and take care of both problems. This was great because it was just in time before we got more rain. So far, no more leaking! Definitely would recommend.

Shaun was so professional and responsive. I had roof damage needing to be repaired and he answered the phone immediately, came out and accessed the need the same day, and the next day he had the roof fixed!!! I had reached out to two other roofing companies. I went with Shaun because he comes highly recommended, responsive, professional and did the work needed immediately, as if it were his own house. I can’t say enough how pleased I am with Port City Roofing. When I needed to replace my roof back in 2012 I contacted multiple roofing companies. Port City Roofing by far was the best choice. Not only did Shaun very quickly come to give me a quote, which was far less than any of the other companies, but was able to begin the work within a few short days. After singing Shaun’s praises both of my neighbors on either side of me had their roofs done that same week. Shaun also recently (2017) replaced my mom’s roof when she had hurricane damage. We needed to replace the boots on the roof since they were leaking. We contacted 3 companies and Port City responded within 5 minutes. Their price was also the most reasonable. They showed up the same day to fix the issue. We are pleased with the fast response and work.

Have fair pricing. Always responsive quickly when you contact them. I have used them 3 times. This past was to replace some shingles after Dorian. I did wait a little longer for the work, but mine was not urgent and they stayed in touch. They are honest if you need someone to check out your roof.

There are a lot of roofers in Charleston. Never having needed a roof before I didn't know where to start. I Googled searched and got a couple of estimates. I felt rushed and almost scammed by the other guys with the lingo they were using and asking for money. I decided on Port City because I actually had a conversation with Shaun and he explained the process to me. I can't speak highly enough about my roof now. Contacted PCR about roofing work needed for a sale closing, & Mike was on site that day to check it out...While the closing was scheduled for the following week, Mike's larger concern was for the bad weather just two days away....accordingly, Mike was there the following day and finished before day's end.

With 6 college students as tenants, coordinating access was tricky, & Mike took it upon himself to build rapport & schedule it all himself.

Also, he reviewed the entire inspection report I'd given him for the roof repair, noted a leaky toilet listed as a deficiency item therein, and took it upon himself to repair it short of any prior dialogue w/me about it! Both items completed the same day the work began.

Altogether the proprietary interest Mike showed in the property was amazing & unique to any experience I've had with contractors...His concern re: the weather, creating his own relationship & keeping the vibe good with the tenants, & sizing up the overall dynamic (property under contract to sell) that precipitated my initial call & then review the entire inspection report to make an additional, necessary & unsolicited repair was unheard of in my world, dealing daily w/contractors.

Suffice it to say Port City highly impressed me, and I recommend Port City w/conviction & no hesitation to anyone in need of roof and/or gutter repairs.

I initially left a these guys left a negative review as I had a tough time getting my tin roof to keep out the water even after they coated it three times. I went back to them to have them replace the roof and they killed it. So impressed with Shaun, Arturo and his team. hey came in and conquered! Tanks Shaun!

A tree limb fell straight in our roof causing a hole. We called and the roof repair was done the same day. They did an excellent job.

My husband and I were re-financing our mortgage and the Appraiser said in the report that the roof looked "old" , so the bank underwriter demanded a roof inspection before they would go any further. For various reasons the re-fi had to be extended and we were w/i days of the extension running out. Nothing like getting less than 24 hours to get something like this done! I was in a total panic because after making calls to different roofers I found that no one would be able to do it before the end of the next week. I finally did what I should have done in the first place and asked my neighbor who had his roof redone about a month before this if he could/would recommend the roofer he hired. He told me that he used Port City Roofing and yes he would definitely recommend them. When I called it was after 6 p.m. and spoke to a very, very nice gentleman who told me not to worry that he could do the inspection. I told him I needed it the earliest possible time at or before 1200 the NEXT day. I was sure when he heard the deadline that he would turn me down like everyone else. He again reassured me it was ok and he could do it by noon. And the reason why Port City Roofing will have my business FOREVER is because when I checked my email at 9:00 the next morning the completed roof inspection including pictures were already waiting for me! I got the inspection to the bank and re-fi was saved, thanks entirely to Port City Roofing!

Port City Roofing did an outstanding job roofing our home in Goose Creek. Their price was very reasonable and could not be beaten. The work crew were very friendly and professional. Job started at 7:00 am and was completed by 6:30 pm that evening. The clean-up was excellent you could not tell they had been in the yard. If you need a roof I would highly recommend Port City Roofing.

Port City Roofing is fantastic. They were fast, efficient and very reasonably priced. I called and spoke with Shaun, the owner, after we lost a few shingles during a recent storm. I explained that we were getting ready to leave the country for a while and was concerned. He made us a priority and had his crew on the roof the next day. I had Port City Roofing replace my roof shingles more than five years ago. They did a super job, I could hear them putting six nails in each shingle. It worked as we made it through all the hurricanes without a problem. When Matthew came through I had some shingles blown off and had a roof leak. I enoted Shaun asking him to please put me on the list to have repairs made. The next morning his crew was here and fixed my problems. Same with Irma, no leak but a few loose shingles, and again after only a slight request Shaun had his men over making the repairs. I can't think of a better more responsive roofer.

After a major hail storm, many of the storm chasers came knocking on the door claiming that my entire roof needed to be replaced and they would do it for what the insurance company paid. I was very skeptical about this practice so I asked around and a friend recommended Port City Roofing.

This company is over 200 miles from my home but still considered the job. Shawn used some of the photos I sent him along with a roofing estimator to give me an estimate. He walked me through the process and was very up front about what the job would entail. His crew did the job at a reasonable cost and only repaired what needed to be repaired. He never asked me what my insurance company paid.

I would recommend Shaun and his team to anyone. They worked fast and hard and the finished product looks great! Very communicative along the way made the whole process simple for a first time home buyer who literally knew nothing about the process. They had to replace a lot of water damaged sheathing and it was at no additional cost. Very affordable and the clean up they did you never would know they had just torn off your old roof.

It was an easy experience, they did what they said said they were going to do and charged what they said they would charge. They cleaned up well afterwards. They underestimated the time they said it would take but I would rather they take their time than to rush just to beat a deadline.
