Recommended Reviews
We appreciate the prompt service and timely finish of our project. We had to split our job up into 2 phases and they accommodated us. They come in, do their work, and leave your house clean. I cannot say enough about the cleanliness of our house when they left. Julia, Zach and his team were on it, got it done and cleaned up. Best job ever. Thanks to all who helped us with this terrible situation we found ourselves in. Y’all helped us make it a little easier.
I wanted to trust this company based on the reviews, but my experience didn’t match up. I’ll start by saying the techs who worked on my unit were honest and hardworking—thank you to them.
On April 13, 2025, water from my upstairs neighbor leaked through my bathroom ceiling. I called Disaster Plus the next morning, and they sent a tech out quickly. Moisture was detected in the ceiling and walls, and I was told demolition would be needed. I got their estimate that day but had to wait on my insurance adjuster’s report before moving forward. I signed the work order before leaving for a two-week trip and was told work would begin May 27th after I returned.
Unfortunately, communication was severely lacking. I never heard from anyone after signing the work order—I had to call them the day before the job was supposed to start. Only then did I get a text saying the work was delayed due to weekend rain. I expressed disappointment, especially since I’d rearranged my living situation to be out of the home. It felt like I was being deprioritized due to the smaller scope of my job. I only got updates by texting the tech directly every night. The project manager never reached out to confirm arrival times or next steps and even ignored my request for recommended contractors (despite their website claiming they provide referrals). Thankfully, the tech stepped up and gave me a contractor's card he personally recommended.
After the techs finished on Friday, I came to inspect the unit on Saturday and was shocked to find extensive water damage and black mold. None of this was mentioned to me—not once. They ripped everything out, ran the dehumidifier, and left. If my father, a licensed plumber, hadn’t noticed the mold and wood damage, I wouldn’t have known. That’s incredibly disappointing.
In the end, I felt overlooked and dismissed. When I voiced my concerns, I was essentially told, “Sorry you feel that way.” This was just my personal experience, but I hope it helps others make an informed choice.
Attached are pictures of the damage DisasterPlus uncovered but did not mention.
We had a water pipe bust in the wall. Called these guys and they had a water mitigation professional, James, working at our house within an hour. They were very professional and knew exactly everything I'd need to do and have for our insurance. Highly Recommend these guys. Couldn't imagine a more professional company.
