I am a local excavation contractor. Scott Pierson recently hired me from an advertisement on Craigslist and engaged my services on a project involving the demolition and reconstruction of a boulder wall near a walk-out basement as part of a total remodel for a home owner. He did not conduct any pre planning prior to instructing me to begin the demo. We were under an agreement that I would operate my equipment at an hourly rate, he then asked me to design the wall for him while I worked, him not knowing where to get needed materials (rocks, etc) or what specifications the 7’ tall needed to be built to, admitting to me that he knows nothing of this kind of work. I explained to him that I am not an engineer and I cannot be liable for the design of the system. He said he would have it engineered and would get back in touch with me. He never did. And he has not responded to my email or phone call. I visited the site to collect my safety cones and saw that the new wall has been completed. In my opinion this shows a lapse in professionalism, and also serves as a demonstration of his lack in ability to properly plan and stage a project like this. I would not feel comfortable as a home owner using his contracting service (A contractor should always conduct a thorough evaluation of any hire-on and make sure they are qualified for the job). As a contractor, I feel disrespected, lied to, and I could not vouch for him. I would not recommend him to any of my clients.

Our project involved removal of a 25-year-old acrylic shower and construction of a walk-in ceramic shower complete with plumbing and electrical modifications. Working with Scott during the design and pricing process was easy. During the construction his employees and subcontractors were all very careful of our existing furnishings.Also, we were kept completely informed so that we knew when and who to expect as the work continued. The quality of the work itself as performed by both Scott's people and his subcontractors was excellent. We are very happy with the finished product and wouldn't hesitate to use Pierson Contracting again.

last fall the wind blew down the deer fencing on one side of my yard. the other side of my yard had very nice more secure fencing that added panache to my back yard. Contacted Pierson for a quote to install fencing on the side that blew down that matched the other side. A little bit pricier than I'd hope for, but they did a great job of matching it and gave me exactly what I'd asked for. Had another low ball offer, but I preferred fixing the fence only once and felt Pierson wouldn't skimp on the material and workmanship required. they also provided a minor fix to the already installed fence at no extra cost. I'm happy with it.

We would recommend Pierson Contracting – they are a pleasure to work with and have made our restoration project an easy process. We had water damage and we were a little overwhelmed with the process of having it fixed since it included drywall repair, paint and baseboard damage. My father had a stroke and when we were bringing him home discovered a burst water pipe. One thing led to another and we ended up having to remodel about 3/4ths of the house. Scott, Eric and Pam helped us through all the insurance filing, invoicing, great recommendations for how to make the house safe for my dad and what was needed now versus what we could hold off a little longer. They were incredibly patient in a horrible situation and I would recommend them every time. You need it done, they will do it. We replaced entire bathrooms down to the studs, most of the kitchen, porches, the roof and they gave us recommendations on who to use for the flooring, plumbing, electrical, cabinets and gutters.
