Brian did a wonderful job on, not only our roof, but our skylights as well. Our old roof was 25 years old and the skylights probably hadn't been touched since then. Although they weren't leaking they needed more support, and dried paint and debris was flaking off them, but they were too high for us to tackle the job ourselves. Now they look great and should hold up another 25 years. Brian and his team were professional, polite and efficient as well, and we wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone.

Brian was great! Our insurance company told us we had to replace our roof apparently based on drone photos.

Brian came out the same day, got on the roof, assessed the issue, contacted the insurance company directly and came back the next day to treat the roof for moss (the drone made a mistake).

We tried a few other roofers in the area and they were not responsive and basically ghosted us. We will be going back to Brian for any and all future roofing needs. He was refreshing.

Living in Alaska, and trying to manage our rental west of Port Angeles is quite difficult and stressful at times. Brian Soiseth, owner of 4x4 Xterior Roofing came highly recommended for a roofing repair and he certainly did not disappoint. I had a couple of not-so-great experiences with a couple other roofers prior to learning of Brian so I was very worried at that point, not being able to be present and see things for ourselves and having to trust someone completely unknown to us. From the very beginning of this process, Brian was professional, very clear about what to expect from his assessment, photos would be included, and he was very respectful of our renters, always punctual, called or texted numerous times to update us and put our worries to rest. This man is completely honest. He updated with photos of all the shingle damage and plywood damage from leaking and let us know that it would be unwise to do just a repair, that we would end up have to re-roof soon anyway, so that's what we did. He had numerous jobs to do but fit us in quickly, knowing of our tenuous circumstances with renting and selling. He and his crew got the job done very quickly, photos were sent of a completed job, very well done. We are very thankful to have found Brian and his crew and would hire him again in a nano-second. I can’t recommend Brian with 4x4 roofing and his crew enough. I was very impressed with the speed and craftsmanship from tearing off the old roof all the way to the detail and finish work on the new roof they installed. The whole crew was friendly and professional around my family, worked hard, and seemed to work well together. The job was finished on time and in a timely manner which was very impressive because of how big (about 50 squares), how steep (12/12), and how cut up the roof was. I'm very happy with the experience and finished product and feel they deserve a stellar review.

Our experience with 4x4 xterior roofing was great! We had a small job and they treated it like a big job Even to come and dry us in on a call on Brains way home from work. I called him on Thursday they came on the following Saturday. They had to deal with a not so professional roofing job from 5 years ago to blend into the exciting roof handled it like pros and stuck with his bid. Great crew great job. Brian and his crew roofed my 2000sf home and 400sf shed the week of July 8 – 11, 2024, which thus far were the hottest days of the year. They did an excellent job, completing tear off, replaced water damaged decking, and laid new felt by the end of the first day. Like clockwork, the roofing supplier Brian arranged unloaded 2 pallets of shingles to the rooftop at days end. Day 2 through 4 Brian and his crew installed 35 squares of shingles, with new vent pipe boots, fan vents, ridge vent strips and cap. Brian also ordered a new tinted, low-e insulated skylight to replace the 30 year old original. When doing the bid walk around, he recommended black flashing over the fascias and in the valleys where roof sections join. It looks sharp! We’re very pleased with the work they did.

Of course, the quality of the work is important, attention to detail, being timely, honoring commitment. Brian and his crew are all that. Just as important to me, is the quality of the person, in fact, the whole crew. There isn’t much new construction where I live, still, the neighbors employ contractors from time to time for painting, roofing, landscaping. Perhaps it’s a cynical view I have, but it’s typical of young contractors to use coarse language when on the job, or play loud and obnoxious music. As a person of deep faith, it’s unsettling to my soul and spirit. Brian and his crew were a real breath of fresh air; young men all, Brian’s son humbly working as the newbie this summer. Not a coarse word was heard from any of them – they went about their work with dedication, respect and friendliness. The Mrs. decided on day one to make cookies for them. I researched many roofers and decided on 4x4 X-terior Roofing LLC due to the 5* ratings and comments. Brian, the owner of the company, came out and analyzed the status of the roof. He suggested it was just about time to replace the roof and showed us pictures which verified his findings. He told us the roof may have two more years, but we decided to replace the roof before it started to leak.
Brian arrived on the job every day on time and worked along side his crew to oversee things and personally take care of the more difficult tasks. Each day before his crew left, he always made sure any debris was cleaned up, and the space looked just as they found it. I was impressed by Brian's work ethic, integrity, knowledge of roofing, professionalism, and punctuality. He also answered any questions and gave updates through texts and emails. We are very pleased with the quality and appearance of our roof. In fact, many neighbors have commented on how nice it looked and how the charcoal black color of the roof complimented the look of our house. I highly recommend 4x4 Xterior Roofing. I just purchased a home in Sequim that had pipe boot and skylight issues as well as roof and gutters in need of cleaning. Being new to the area, I went with the Google reviews and messaged Brian Soiseth. He immediately responded and remained in excellent communication throughout the estimate, purchase of supplies, and repairs. He included photos of my roof which were very helpful since I was out of the area at the time. Brian was professional, knowledgeable, personable and very timely in getting the work completed at a fair price. Given the age of the current roof, I will confidently be calling upon 4x4 Xterior Roofing in the near future.

4x4 was extremely competent in knowledge and the communication to my project regarding details. There were no surprises. They stood behind their work when my interior contractor failed to vent bathroom fans properly. 4x4 came out to do what was required immediately without charge.

Brian and his team did a great job on tear off and installing a new roof at our house in Port Angeles. Brian even recommended using a different color tile and we're glad he did. They were on time, communicated well and left the job tidy. They even finished quicker than expected. They obviously have pride in their work. We would definitely recommend them.

Getting a new roof has always been an overwhelming thought for me, but Brian Soiseth from 4x4 X-terior Roofing made it stress free.
When I requested an estimate Brian was out the very next day, on time. He quickly and efficiently gathered the information and checked out the trouble spots, by afternoon I was given a very good estimate. My roof was scheduled to be done within a week.
First day of roofing Brian and crew showed up on time and worked hard all day. Communication was superb about problematic areas such as skylights, bad wood and a challenging chimney. I had no surprises at the end of the job.
The night after the removal of old roof and felt being laid it rained and I had a leak. I called Brian at 8:30 at night and he was over within 15 minutes to fix the problem. Nice as always, he climbed on the roof and took care of the problem which was more my skylight than roof. His professionalism made even this stress free.
The roof was completed within a couple days. Work area was kept clean throughout the day and better than I had it at the end of each day. His crew are all very nice, professional and all are perfectionist, the standards are very high. Workmanship is definitely quality.
I wish everyone I need to hire had the same work ethic as Brian and crew at

4x4 X-Terior Roofing, Brian was great to work with! Knowledgeable, Professional, dependable and fair.
As new owners of our home, we and the inspector missed the issues with the roof. At casual glance the existing roof looks to have some wear but still several years left. We hired Brian to patch a hole left by the removal of a compromised chimney. During the repairs he noticed that the roofing nails were rusting half way down. This meant the existing shingles were defective, likely part of a product recall. There was no rust evidence where the nails were pierced the layer below. Water was penetrating the top layer. There was also evidence of questionable workmanship by whoever installed the last roof.
Brian squeezed us into his schedule as we needed the roof replaced prior to a solar array install. I will always be grateful to Brian for noticing a hidden defect and brining it to our attention. It would have been very, very costly to have discovered the defect after the solar panels were installed.
I would highly recommend Brian and his team to anyone needing a new roof.
