We found Benjamin Brothers after searching on the Timberline website for a certified installer. The quote they gave was the least expensive out of the 3 quotes we had received and they had great reviews online so we decided to go with them. Throughout the process they were very kind, responsive and knowledgeable. They were able to install our roof in 1 day and the installation team showed up on time and were very professional. We are extremely happy with the results and recommend Benjamin Brothers to anyone who is considering new roof installation!

This is our second project with Benjamin Brothers - we did our roof in 2021, and replaced all of our exterior trim this summer. Benjamin Brothers did a roofing project for my house. They had excellent prices and a no pressure detailed review of the work I wanted a quote on. Throughout my entire project they always answered my phone calls and emails, the lines of communication were extraordinary. I was never left wondering what was going on.

Cody, Matt & the entire Benjamin Brothers team were an absolute pleasure to work with. We had some major gutter problems, Cody came out the next day and gave our home a thorough gutter / roof inspection. He found the problem and noticed another questionable spot on our roof. Before the week was over the job was done. Not only was the job done fast, correct and clean, it was cheaper then other quotes I was given. Cody also took the time to help me brainstorm a solution to another problem we were having on our property that I fixed myself.

Benjamin Brothers recently completed a roof replacement on our home. We were very pleased with their work, from the initial visit to start the proposal process to the final job completion. Their communications throughout were very good and they delivered on their commitments. Job was completed in one day and their clean up was excellent. They were easy to work with. We would highly recommend Benjamin Brothers.

Benjamin brothers crew worked their butts off. Communication was great with the office and the foreman on the job. They did most of the leg work when it came to dealing with insurance. We had a big storm roll in tonight and not one problem with our roof and gutters.

False advertising, unprofessional

Called Benjamin Bros. on May 10th to inspect some cedar siding needing replacement as their website advertises they replace "cedar siding". Tim came out on the 15th and seemed to be having a difficult time figuring out what material he felt would be better than what's currently there and they would only be doing the front and one side of the building so it should match one would think. Tim had mentioned a different material instead and he would send a photo and he also said we should have the estimate by Monday the 20th. Time went by, no estimate so I called on the 28th and spoke to Lee who said they would get that sent out. A couple more days passed without a word so I texted Tim on May 30th with no response either. Finally we get a response on June 4th. Tim stated that they are to busy doing roofs and wouldn't be able to get to our job!!? Then it would have been nice to know that when I called originally! Guess our job is out of their expertise because I've never heard of a more lame excuse!! They shouldn't advertise what they can't deliver. However at least someone finally had a little decency to reply! Thanks for wasting our time!

Benjamin Brothers replaced a large shingle roof on an apartment building I own in Fox River Grove. The work was done quickly and professionally. The installers were respectful and made sure they didn't leave a mess behind. The roof looks great and I haven't had a single issue in the past six years. Benjamin Brothers installed an ice shield, used lead boots and did a very good job installing flashing around the chimneys. I have recommended Benjamin Brothers to other landlords and will continue to do so.

We got 3 quotes when we were getting our roof replaced. Not only did Benjamin Brothers have the lowest quote for the quality of materials we selected they also had an exceptional rating for installing from the manufacturer. They totally cleaned up everything from the old roof tear off so you didn't even know they were there. Couldn't be happier with them and would highly recommend them to anyone which we did when my son also selected them for a new roof.

Tim and Lee were so amazing helping me to get some roof work done to appease my insurance company and avoid a cancellation. Their installation team was very polite and accommodated our concerns in protecting landscaping where possible. The finished product looks great, they installed new roofs on 3 of our structures. We have used Benjamin Brothers twice, for our roof and our siding. They are very professional, responsive to calls/emails, and willing to work with home owners. Both crews worked efficiently, and worked full days (even past dinner time if they still had sufficient lighting and were trying to finish a specific task). Benjamin Brothers Construction did a great job installing a new roof and gutters at our house. They started out strong when beginning our work on our time schedule since we reside in Evanston. Jason spent one whole evening installing our new garage door on his off hours which was very much appreciated.
As far as the siding, the work that was completed was well done. I’m still not sure why new siding was not installed on one area of the north side. We also had a “gentleman’s agreement” that a hole on the siding on the west side would be fixed and that a piece of fascia would be replaced on the south side. We were disappointed that these two problems were not completed as promised. We also ended up replacing a window well cover that was in the initial bid.

Benjamin Brothers re-shingled our entire roof last month. They did a super job: great communication during the weeks prior to the install, crew arrived on time when expected and worked a long, long day to get the job done on the same day. Clean-up of the yard was superb, much better than our past roofing experiences with other companies, and they even added a couple of shorter downspout extensions across our lower roof for no additional charge. We got three bids and Benjamin Brothers was in the middle but toward the lower end. They had the best reviews so we chose them. Only complaint is that our front porch railing got a lot of tar flecks because the crew didn't throw the old roofing material far enough from the house, but it cleaned off easily with automotive tar remover. Warning: it was a hot day and our shrubs got burned pretty badly from being under their tarps all day long. I don't know of anything that would prevent this, just be aware that it may happen...I wanted to install new shingles during hot weather so that they would seal together before a windstorm came through, the bushes will recover.

Benjamin Brothers was very flexible with coordinating with other work being done to our house even when the dates changed last minute. Work was done professionally and cleanup was fantastic. Highly recommend.

I feel like I have a new house...the roofing job was high quality and looks really nice and I’m Very Happy. My friends recommended Benjamin to me. I happened along Benjamin Brothers two years ago through Emily's List when I was looking for someone to replace my roof and gutters. They were not the cheapest or the most expensive. They were the best. That's what I was looking for and that's what I got. They did the job in a timely manner and were right on budget. They were also not hard to have around the house for a few days.
A little over a month ago we had some storm damage from a large tree limb that fell on the house. It broke two skylights, poked a hole in the roof and damaged three gutters. I called the Benjamin Brothers. They came out immediately and covered the hole in the roof. The rest could wait until the insurance company did their thing of inspecting the damage and estimating the repairs. As soon as that was done, they came back and did all the repairs. You would never know anything had happened.
I highly recommend these guys. They are very professional, do the job with a minimum of hassle, are reasonably priced, do quality work and are a pleasure to work with. What more could you ask?
