Absolutely terrible. I have water damage with an insurance claim and they were quick to come for the mitigation. I received plenty of invoce emails for payment. When It comes down to the repair side I'm still waiting to hear from them. 3 weeks Ive had a huge hole in my ceiling. I've called multiple times and all I get is..." We will contact you later today"

I had a very good experience with Paul Davis we had a unfortunate event happen at our house so a guy from the Paul Davis company came that night at 10:00 p.m and immediantly picked up the carpet and pulled out the wet pad and threw it away and also got all the wet installation out and threw it away as well and then he put several fans around all over the place to dry out the wet ceiling and the carpet and he was at my house until after 1:00 a.m. then I had other men come ro my home and do other work to make sure the job gets finished. They have all been very kind and professional in their job.

Had a dishwasher leak and cause damage to the kitchen floor as well as a bedroom below the kitchen. Our insurance company hooked us up with Paul Davis and they were at our house within a couple of days. Took a lot longer than I hoped, but that was no fault of Paul Davis… It had to do with our insurance company being non-responsive to them and us. Started out working with Bradley and then Kellen, both were very responsive to phone calls and text messages. And they never made me feel like I was a bother! We couldn’t be happier with our kitchen and the repairs they did in the bedroom in the basement!

Our experience with Paul Davis Co. has been a great experience in spite of our disaster. The mitigation team have been very thorough and great to work to work with. We are looking forward to restoration going as well! Thank you for great work!!

Since day one, Paul Davis has been nothing short of exceptional. When our basement flooded, they came over right away and brought their mitigation team to prevent as much damage as possible. The medication team checked on our basement every day until it was completely dried out. The remodel team has been phenomenal as well. They have done fantastic at keeping in contact with us nearly every day. We are extremely pleased with how everything is coming together and getting our basement finished. They have also been great at helping us work with our insurance. There have been many times that we have called or text in the evening or weekend, and they have still gotten back to us. Thank you so much! We are nothing but pleased with your company!

Incredible to work with, they explained everything! I would recommend them to everyone. Our house was 100% flooded with 12 inches of standing water. The rebuild was extremely complicated because the house was over 100 years old. Joe was awesome. He took so much time in putting my great grandfather‘s home back together. Very few people will do this.

Paul Davis Restoration was prompt in coming to assess and mitigate the flood damage in our storage room and ultimately took care of everything we needed. Everyone was very courteous and friendly.

After a traumatic home fire, I was assigned Gabe Hamilton as my Paul Davis Reconstruction Project Manager…and thank goodness! Gabe was the brightest spot throughout the mess of restoration; due to issues outside of anyone’s control, restoration was complicated, messy, and frustrating, but Gabe went to bat for me, organized subs, checked and rechecked work, advised me on how to move forward, helped make decisions, and felt like a true friend throughout the process. He was kind, funny (when appropriate), a bulldog if needed to fight on my behalf, and caring towards my emotions. It was a rollercoaster ride, but I was so grateful to have Gabe by my side throughout. I don’t think I could have made it through the ups and downs without him. He was part friend, part manager, and part psychiatrist throughout the months of repairs.

His integrity and moral compass always showed through as I could tell Gabe was always advising me to do what was right for ME. He communicated like a champ each step of the way as well, which was so important to help feel some sense of control. Gabe sent texts, updates, emails, and called me to keep me abreast of the details and process, and really went over and beyond every step of the way.

Sadly, I fear my situation was one of the most complicated scenarios of his career, but Gabe was amazing and patient throughout. Paul Davis should be honored to have Gabe on their team…he’s a quality person and fantastic at his job. You can teach an employee how to proceed through a restoration process, but you can’t teach someone how to reach people emotionally…Gabe had charisma, and that special ability to make me feel taken care of during what was inevitably a very taxing process. Can’t thank Gabe Hamilton enough and Paul Davis is lucky to have him!

Our experience with Paul Davis has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing. What was already a stressful situation after a house fire became even more difficult due to a lack of transparency, poor workmanship, and questionable business practices.

We were told by Josh that the initial document we signed was necessary to proceed with remediation. However, the company is now claiming that document authorized the rebuild—a completely different scope of work. If that were the case, why then did Paul Davis continue to push (sometimes multiple times a day) for us to sign a separate rebuild authorization that we ultimately declined?

More concerning, Paul Davis framed the downstairs walls on top of unremediated, charred remains from the fire. When I questioned why they would build without properly cleaning the soot from the walls, I was given no reasonable answer. They also installed plywood and cut holes for plumbing pipes that are set to be removed—when asked why, the explanation was that they couldn’t leave a gap in the floor. That seems like a justification made after the fact rather than a reflection of professional planning.

The work order they are now referring to was signed on March 25, 2025—on the day the framing was completed. Yet they are presenting a work authorization dated April 11, 2025, attempting to retroactively apply it to work already done. That’s not acceptable.

The work order we signed clearly states that we would only be responsible for costs outlined in original or supplemental estimates approved by us or the insurance company. We have never received any estimate—except for the one regarding the basement beam which we paid for as an upgrade out of our own pockets (not insurance)—and we certainly didn’t approve any change orders beyond that.

At this point, we are waiting for our adjuster to confirm which items are included in the insurance settlement. We will only be paying for those items that are part of the approved claim. After that, we look forward to being done with Paul Davis for good.

And yes, as the owner has repeatedly encouraged, here is the honest review of our experience, so here it is. Proceed with caution.

Great service. Arrived on time and completed the job in the time discussed. For a restoration company, I would recommend them anytime.

Paul Davis Restoration did a great job restoring the water damage caused by a toilet overflowing for hours in my house. They responded quickly right after I called them. They began drying everything out, pulling back the carpet, cutting holes in the ceiling and walls, and installing fans and heaters. The repairs was involved, but they showed up every day and worked on it. Sheetrock had to be replaced, carpet had to be repaired and cleaned, and the entire living room was primed and painted. A special thanks to Jed Fisher, who kept things going, scheduling the right guys at the right time to finish the work. It turned out great looking like new. Thanks to everyone who worked on it.

Quick response time and took meticulous care of my home. They were respectful of my no shoes policy and worked hard to find the leak that was causing damage and get the wet material out quickly.

We had a water pipe in our basement break flooding our son’s bedroom. Our insurance company contract with Paul Davis for the repair which involved the remediation of the water damage preventing mold, replacing , insulation, sheet rock and then paint and molding. We were very pleased with how seamless the process was and the fact that they kept us informed on what the next was when it was scheduled. All the trades where here when they said they would be and skilled and professional at their job.

We recently worked with Paul Davis Restoration to remodel our master bathroom and repair our basement bedroom ceiling after suffering water damage from a broken pipe. Our insurance company recommended Paul Davis, and we’re very glad they did.

Tim Barney managed our restoration and remodel project. Though young, Tim impressed us with his extensive background in framing and his strong project management skills. His team responded quickly, arriving promptly to begin the dry-out process, which took about a week. The full remodel took approximately three months.

Throughout the project, Tim was consistently available to answer our questions, whether over the phone or by meeting us in person. They used a lockbox on our door, making it convenient for workers to access the house without disrupting our schedule. I also appreciated their efforts to protect our home — covering the floors with plastic and paper, which was especially important during the wet winter months.

Because of the complexities of insurance coverage, the pricing and invoices were a little unclear at times. However, Tim was always willing to discuss details and help us navigate that aspect.

We were exceptionally pleased with the tile crew, who did a fantastic job. We were less satisfied with the painting/finishing crew (why I took off one star) who had to come back several times to correct mistakes they made, but after sharing our concerns with Tim, he made sure everything was corrected to our satisfaction. At the end of the project, they brought in a professional cleaner, which left the home in excellent condition.

Overall, it was a good experience, and we would recommend Tim and Paul Davis Restoration to anyone needing restoration or remodeling work.

Paul Davis was super quick to respond and were very communicative throughout the process. All of their workers stayed productive and gave quality work.

They communicated so consistently and got the work done quickly. They were always ready to make sure things were just what I wanted! After having a nightmare experience with another company, this was so refreshing!

Which is to say, it’s not great. If you’re a fan of crews randomly showing up, not communicating about what they are doing, not caring that you have a life and may not be at their beck and call, being asked to sign a blank payment authorization, by all means call Paul Davis.

Paul Davis and team did a terrific job on our sewer back up problem. Once I called, they were out right away. They were friendly and professional and got us taken care of quickly. Very impressed!

Paul Davis showed up immediately with their assessment crew after we had a waterline disconnect from our humidifier in our attic. They took care of everything and had things cleaned out and drying out by the next day. With their help the damage was pretty well mitigated to a much smaller area of our home.

The guys at Paul Davis are awesome (special shoutout to Jake)! I worked with quite a few of them in order to complete some odor remediation in a new house I purchased, and every single one of them was a professional, helpful, gentleman. I also felt like the prices Paul Davis charged were very fair and WAY more competitive than Servpro. If I’m ever in need of remediation or restoration services again, I will be calling them!

They came promptly to do the remediation when we had water damage. While the remediation did cause other issues, they also resolved those promptly and fully.

Would only recommend for initial water damage recovery. They were timely and did what they said they would do. I would not recommend using them for repairing any damage. They were not professional and did not treat our job or us with respect. They did not come when they said they would and cancelled the day of. After multiple days of taking off work to meet them we asked them not to return and we found other contractors that were excellent and reliable.

Paul Davis was AMAZING! They came out to my house on the same day. They were polite and professional. Brandon explained what they were doing at each step of the restoration.

They worked with my Home Owners Insurance to get things working and fixed as quickly as possible. The repaired flooring, walls, and insulation.

When the water heater broke and flooded the basement, the sellers of our home hired Paul Davis Restoration to handle the situation. Although we weren’t involved in choosing the company, we have greatly benefited from their decision. Brandon Cox, in particular, stepped in and took charge. Brandon is absolutely amazing—his professionalism, experience, kindness, and attention to detail made a stressful situation much easier to navigate.

Brandon checked the job site regularly and caught a few small details that could have easily been overlooked. For example, he took the time to verify flooring preferences with us. On Brandon's advice, we chose a different flooring option that was a better fit for the construction of the basement. This level of care and expertise ensured that everything was done right and to the highest standard.

The results are fantastic—the restoration work was completed to an exceptional level of quality, and we are extremely happy with how everything turned out. I don’t know which office that GMC with your logo on it came from, but when somebody signals that they want to change lanes you back off. There was already a car a little further ahead, so passing me was not an option. Instead, he was writing in my Blindspot and came up even further when I signal right to try to get out to the freeway exit 80 eastbound at about 700 E. I was already going well over the speed limit, so for him to do that he had to have been doing near 80 miles an hour.

I was referred to Paul Davis Restoration by a friend who worked for this company as a subcontractor some time ago. Which shows the importance of building and maintaining relationships with former and present business partners.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! Our insurance company gave us this number when the city of American Fork flooded our basement with sewage. They showed up and screwed off for an hour didnt contain the spill and what they did vacuum up they dumped in my neighbors yard. "Worked for 3 hours and left. Charged us 1500.00. Left raw sewage all over what a joke!

I had a small shower leak that turned into a major project as all the continuous flooring in my condo had to be replaced, which involved moving a lot of books around too. Brandon Cox had been the project manager when my nephew needed some flooring replaced from a leak, and he was very happy working with Brandon, so we contacted him and he was immediately on the job and followed up regularly with my nephew and me, even during the months when I was overseas through email and Zoom, and was instrumental in resolving some insurance issues with the HOA long after the actual work had been completed. His cheerful, upbeat personality and his efficiency in managing the project made it a pleasure to work with him. He was very patient in answering many questions and dealing with alternatives that came up when planning the work. Paul Davis is fortunate to have such a great person on its team. C M Sheikholeslami

We been waiting since January to get my mother in laws kitchen fixed and they have only put our cabinets in. We haven't been able to eat in our kitchen diner due to NOTHING being done in the last 6 months. We called and there excuse was they were under bad management and new management came in? STILL HORRIBLE. Still waiting for them to come finish the job SPECIALLY if they were paid thousands of dollars. DO BETTER. VERY BAD COMMUNICATION. They email once in a blue moon just to say they will stop by the following week and never let us know when they wont show up.

Overall it has been an OK experience. There has been a lack of communication in the departments of Paul Davis. My HOA originally gave them the wrong insurance to work with. I was able to clarify things and get the right one to come out and give an estimate. That estimate was then sent over to me and Paul Davis. A month went by and nothing happened. I finally got in contact with enough people in my insurance, the HOA, and Paul Davis to realize that Paul Davis didn't give out the correct insurance to work with throughout all departments so they were in essence, waiting for the go ahead from the HOA insurance when the HOA insurance had already gone through that previous month. They also were way late on billing me for things that my insurance had giving me money for. They would also not schedule things because they thought I didn't give them payment, which I would show them that I had paid previously. My kitchen flooded on February 27th (they started work on the 28th), I am writing this on May 14th and my kitchen and bathroom are still not completed. Everyone has been friendly and good to work with but 4 months without a kitchen because of miscommunication is unprofessional. I hope I'm the odd ball out on this experience.

They have kept me informed throughout the process. It looks like I may get back in my home sooner than expected. They have always treated me with kindness. Thanks for all you've done so far.

Great communication, and service! Only thing I noticed was a drawer wasn’t reattached under my counter nothing I can’t handle but all in all an amazing service!!

Stop! Don’t use them! My shower leaked and the entire bathroom had to be replaced. They broke my shower controls when they took it off the wall, then blamed me for breaking it. Then said the job was done and the shower still doesn’t work. Look at the horrible paint job that the painter said was done? Then they said that I owed them money that they hadn’t billed the insurance for. I hired them cause they were supposed to work hand in hand with the insurance. The final bill came with 8 days to pay with threatenings it would go directly to collections and lien on my house. They didn’t bill the insurance and 8 days to pay without billing insurance. Shower still doesn’t work. Insurance isn’t billed and I’m headed to collections- Wow! Don’t hire them!

Gary did a great job for us in getting all the work done, and with high-quality. I really appreciated that. It did take some time to complete the job, and we did have a few challenges with finance and payments being requested before the work was done. However, I find it is really hard to find people that do great quality work, and they certainly did that very well!

Paul Davis Restoration was great to work with, our project manager Andrew Oman was very communicative, punctual and attentive to our situation. He understood the complications of living and working in a home under repair and he made every effort to make our lives easier during what could have been a much more stressful time. I would highly recommend Paul Davis Restoration for any home repair projects.

These techs came and looked at my water damaged basement. The team was very kind and helpful. I didn’t see their boss, I believe his name was Andy, for multiple days when i was told he would come give me a price before they started, then the team came to work on my house anyways. when i informed them i didn’t know the price yet. One of the techs said he would contact the manager. We sat around and waited for the manager for another four hours before he ended up showing up. When he did he spent most the time screaming at the techs for not doing their job like he said, even though i had no price. He was extremely disrespectful to them and i saw how bad they were being treated. I don’t think that’s very professional and i don’t recommend coming here if you believe in fair employee treatment.

My 90 year old mother had a sewage backup in her basement, Her insurance company referred Paul Davis’s company for the restoration, my mother was so impressed by their professional conduct, they were very friendly down to earth people, who made the whole process so much easier, so dependable and always did what they said they were going to do,

Paul Davis was an excellent company to work with! What I liked most was working with a team that operates like a team. I spoke with at least three different people at different times during the repo and repairs, and they always knew who I was. Every time I called the office the receptionist was bright, friendly and knowledgeable. And always made sure I got right person to talk to.
I appreciated being kept informed at each step, and getting updates about progress via email, text or phone calls. If I called with a question I knew I would get an answer that day.
Being in Coalville, Utah we were definitely out of the way, but that didn’t phase the work getting done in a timely and structured manner.

Brandon was our project manager. He was SO kind and on top of everything. He really took into consideration the fact that we had 2 month old twins in our home. He worked around our schedule and made sure everything was done in a timely manner. We are so grateful for our experience with Paul Davis. Thank you for getting us four back in our home!!

I really wanted Paul Davis to handle my bathroom remodel after flood damage. I paid the $1000 in advance & had the insurance approved, but Paul Davis wouldn’t ever come out and do the work. Canceled 4 times in a 10 day period after ghosting me for 4 months. I tried for 1 more month, making just over 5 months total, I fired them. It took almost 6 weeks to get my money back.

I am only taking the time to write this because they have been repeatedly sending me email requests to do so.

We needed some work done on a rental that had been damaged by a long-term tenant and called Paul Davis for a bid.

It is pretty clear that they are in the practice of padding their costs and overcharging since they are mostly paid by insurance companies. They said that walls needed to be torn our when cleaning and painting would clearly be adequate. They also wanted significantly more to do the work than a regular cleaning company or contractor would charge. We did not hire them to do the restoration but they have reached out to us at least four times since then either asking when we were going to hire them, how their employee did, or for this review, so here you go. Never contact me again.

My lawn techs flooded my basement accidently and even though they got everything cleaned up pretty quickly, I needed a professional opinion so I called in Paul Davis. The tech inspected and found to cause for concern. He was really honest with us and I appreciate that. Will definitely use them again if anything else comes up in the future.

Brandon and his team were a pleasure to work with. I had water damage that resulted in a collapsed ceiling meaning air conditioning was ineffective in the sweltering July heat. The team was responsive and started the job almost immediately. Every day of restoration the crew did a thorough cleanup. The work is high quality and professional.
