Our family has had the pleasure of working with Zack Gragg and the team at Paul Davis, and we are incredibly grateful for their support. After our home was damaged by the windstorm, navigating the insurance process became a frustrating experience. Throughout it all, Zach’s consistent communication, advocacy, and responsiveness have truly made a difference.

His team—Colin, Franklin, and others—have also been exceptional. They are not only highly knowledgeable and professional but also genuinely kind and approachable. The level of service we received exceeded all expectations. They went above and beyond to ensure we felt informed, supported, and taken care of, and their quick turnaround made a challenging time so much easier. We sincerely appreciate everything they’ve done.

Our mitigation crew was amazing, Zack the project manager who while being at the house helping, to being available via text or call anytime we needed him. Cullen, the lead on the project always so happy, upbeat, helpful and willing to answer all my crazy questions. To the brothers ( I’m so sorry I can’t remember your names) who did most of the demo. They were all super amazing and I wouldn’t hesitate to have them do any other work we need in the future. Will refer them to anyone needing work. Will be doing an online post with their contact info for anyone who may need this amazing crew to help them like they helped us. Thanks guys for being so great and understanding with all the chaos . I appreciate you all so very much!!!

Feel the need to share my feedback I order to protect future customers. In short, Paul Davis and my main contact Keith (owner/operator) was wholly unprofessional and lacked the expertise and customer service to complete my project. Keith and his team were eager to quote my project and accept my deposit, but things quickly unraveled from there. Immediately upon chasing my deposit (50% of planned job), Keith and his team were very slow to respond to plan and begin my job. They also insisted on upselling me despite very clear and direct feedback from me that the scope of the job was not going to change.

After nearly four months of excuses, headaches and zero progress on my job I asked for my deposit back. Keith then got nasty and refused to remit my deposit in a timely manner. He further threatened me in an attempt to retain the work. Only after I threatened to take legal action was I able to get my deposit back.

Loved working with Keith, Urbano and Israel at Paul Davis for my room addition and would totally hire them again! They didn't blink in the face of the complicated rules of my downtown apartment building and they were exceptionally responsive. Even more importantly, when I had concerns or requested changes about the work, even things that I worried were nit-picky or beyond the scope of things that might normally be modified for free, they made the changes promptly and without complaint. I don't know any other construction company that goes out of their way to remind clients of their guarantee that if something goes wrong for two years, the repairs are guaranteed. Thanks, Keith and team!

Paul Davis was our assigned contractor to repair the damages to our home. Sean Crittenden was the project manager assigned us. He was truly God sent. It was extremely difficult working with the insurance company and he advocated for us and made sure our home was repaired in a timely manner. Thank you, Sean!

We had a water leak that affected two floors+crawlspace. Insurance company sent out the Paul Davis remediation team of Zach and Cullen. The branch’s owner, Keith came out the first day as well and occasionally popped in to check on things. They were courteous, professional and knowledgeable. They walked us through the process and the metrics they were using to determine the water remediation plan. They performed daily monitoring (including a holiday!) and kept us updated each step of the way. Since they had a close relationship with the insurance company, they were able to communicate directly with them without having us play middleman. Fortunately, they still kept us in the loop since that could have gone both ways. They were transparent on what the options and recommendations were based on instrument readings, what they were waiting for insurance approval, and alternative solutions, etc. They kept things contained, protected our things, and cleaned up at the end. Plus, our cat didn’t escape or appear traumatized from the work.

I don’t typically write reviews but they asked for one and their local team did do us a solid so far. It’s a fairly new franchise branch and honestly, I was a little nervous at first with it being Paul Davis, and its national company reputation. I figured good work from the local remediation team should at least be acknowledged.

Service questions
1. Should I stay home during roof replacement?
+-

It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.

2. How long does roof replacement take?
+-

The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
